We've taken classes at Our Place Yoga for the last three weeks. As beginners, we were intimidated but read great reviews about this studio, so we decided to try it one time - and now we are hooked! I have taken classes from Hollwyn, Julia, Alex, Cossete, and Molly and each of them has been fantastic in their own way. Alex and Molly are super gentle and work with you to set the pose correctly or revise it to meet you at your skill level. Hollwyn is gentle and relaxing while working on all areas to stretch and strengthen you and Julia is kind and funny and makes yoga fun at the same time providing a fantastic workout. I love this studio!! What an amazing find. Everyone who works and teaches here is very personable, kind and provide wonderful guidance. The price can't be beat and the atmosphere is perfect. I was out very sick for some time and was not able to use my membership, and they understood and allowed me an extension. Attended a 7am class this morning. The owner, Julia, was really welcoming -- as was the class instructor. The studio space is huge and kept very clean. I've been out of practice for awhile and the instructor made me feel comfortable. I loved that they provided little cards to place by your mat to let the instructor know whether you welcome adjustments or not, super nice touch! Will definitely be coming back. $5?! Can't beat it, especially in Orange County! read more

I love this place! All the instructors are great and it is a no judgment zone! Anyone from beginner to advanced level can attend any class. They provide great modifications for everyone. The price is very reasonable. As a working college student, I can't afford a high monthly membership. I pay $10 per single class and attend whenever I can. read more

First time here and first yoga class ever. Fern, The instruct was great. He was so calm and patient. I feel so great. I will be going back. He said to listen to your body and focused on breathing. Signed up for the two weeks unlimited for $20 and I am loving it! Have taken two classes the past two days and have enjoyed the differences between the two instructors so far and the challenges they give you during the classes. Definitely got my heart rate up and sweated during class but have felt better tuned. Will definitely continue the classes! read more

Finally found the place that accommodate my crazy schedule and super affordable. I only started last week and already recommended to all my friends. However, this morning I was running 5 mins late after dropping off the kids and finding a parking and the door was already locked. I called/knocked (softly because I don't want to disturb) but no one answered. Though it was my fault but would have been great if they just leave the door open (for a few mins maybe?) and we just come in quietly, drop off the money and practice. I have been to multiple yoga studios and classes over the years, and Our Place has stood out to me as one of the most positive and welcoming spots. I bring friends whenever I go and every single one of them have loved it here too, whether they practice yoga often or never. Each instructor is encouraging and promotes a genuine and unique practice, whether you want to modify for ease or take an extra challenge and fire up your flow. It's wonderful. Logistically it's so easy to attend too! Typical drop-ins are $5 cash, it's fast and simple to sign up, and I have never felt pressured to buy monthly membership (although lately I've been considering it because at $50/ month for unlimited vinyasa classes is a really sweet deal). You don't need to rsvp beforehand, or bring your own specialty gear. I always bring my own mat, but if you need one they have mats for rental as well. The studio is minimally yet warmly decorated and streamlined, with enough space to fit a larger size class but no extra distractions. The lighting is extremely calming, and most times the practices are held in indirect natural light from the large front window. Everything about the space and intention here is perfectly spot on. I was looking for a studio where my wife and I could try yoga to see if it is something we might do on a regular basis. I decided to give this studio a try after reviewing the positive yelp reviews. What I instantly liked about this studio was the simplicity in registering. I called ahead but was told to show up with $5, a yoga mat if I had one and just sign their waiver and that was it. I was ready to go. I am a newbie to yoga but my wife and I really enjoyed our session with Fern. He was very receptive to the three newcomers and kept the pace nice and slow, almost meditative. The studio is very peaceful and clean. I highly recommend this studio and my wife and I will definitely be back. read more

My daughter (age 11) and I took the 6:30am class today (Friday), and we really loved it! The early morning time was great, since it didn't conflict with any other plans. It was such a nice class starting with a little laughing yoga, with poses that were challenging for my daughter, with easier modifications for me (less athletically inclined) and ending with a very relaxing pose accompanied by music and singing bowl...what a lovely way to start the day. I usually don't love exercise in any form, but I do look forward to doing this class again! read more

Oh my goodness I love this place! In addition to being only $5 for a yoga class that gives my heart and soul a much needed break, the people are the best part. When my car was towed one of the instructors and front desk woman comforted me, let me use their phone when mine died, and even offered to buy me a treat at Mead's because I was so upset! Great meditative atmosphere. Our instructor, Fernando, led us through a great session. Great for all levels of practice since we were given variations of challenge for each movement and pose. So happy to have found this place! I have practiced yoga on and off in the 2.5 years I've lived in Orange. It's so expensive at most studios, so I go when I find a good deal. But, now I can go anytime! My friend and I tried the Saturday 10AM class and it was awesome. The instructor was so nice and helpful. We had both practiced yoga before, but several people in the class had not and she encouraged them and helped them get into each pose properly. The class was challenging enough that I felt like I got a good work out, but also felt totally calm and at peace when I left. It is a little hidden, and we ended up parking on the street because it took us a minute to find the entrance, but that was no big deal. We will definitely be back! read more
