First time coming to this place! I ordered online and picked up. The service for pick up was smooth and easy. The Inside was fairly large, the staff was friendly and it was clean. The walk around to get to the counter is a bit much but I get the point of it. I got a monster burrito I definitely was eating with my eyes because it was huge and I barley got through half of it. The rice was okay definitely could of used more seasoning. I got a side of chips and cheese it was yummy. I will definitely eat back to try some other options

Watching them make my tacos

I got the three tacos. I choose seasoned chicken, steak, and pork. That's the order i preferred them. Pork was a little dry. Chicken very tasty. Food is prepared in a line (like subway). I added lots of toppings. I liked that there were two kinds of lettuce. I liked the bottled drinks selection and got some Vitamin water. The place was clean, bright, spacious feeling with the high ceiling. Service was quick and pleasant. A quick, economical, and tasty lunch!

Seasoned Chicken Burrito Bowl. Rare chicken is visible.

I've eaten from this location several times but this was my first time ordering delicious through their app. The ordering process was quick and easy. My food arrived quickly via doordash. Unfortunately that's where the good things ended. The seasoned chicken on my burrito bowl was undercooked and more fat than meat for the few cooked pieces. Once I saw a fully rare piece of chicken, I completely stopped eating. That was about 1/3 of the way into the bowl. If I wake up with intense stomach cramps in the middle of the night, I already know the culprit. Sadly, that was wasted money because I threw it right in the trash. The large chips and queso was not "large" by any means, and was in fact mostly the bottom-of-the-barrel broken pieces and crumbs. They also didn't add the marshmallow treat I ordered and paid for. This was my most disappointing experience with this chain and location to date. I was too hungry for these shenanigans, and I hate wasting money, so I'll likely avoid them for a while.

Nachos. Why did I get lettuce on it???

Overall impression: Freebirds is always amazing but the customer service at this location is the best! Average price: $7-8 If you haven't been to a freebirds yet, just try it out. It's great. It's basically a better chipotle (didn't even think that was possible). I always end up getting the nachos, although I'm sure the burritos are great. Every time I have come here the workers have always been so nice, cheerful, and most of all, accommodating. I always feel bad when it takes me awhile to decide on something but these guys don't even care how long I take to decide. They even give little tips and will give you a little extra of whatever if you want it. They cut up lemons and lime just for us one night when they had run low. The location is also very clean. Free parking. Lots of dining space. Can't give this place any more credit because it's just great.

White meat chicken, Spanish rice, black beans, mixed cheese, lettuce & tomato. My classic go-to

Food is fresh, filling & the veggies are never soggy. The staff is friendly, efficient & the restaurant is always clean. I'm also a sucker for Rice Krispie treats, so that's just extra bonus points

Nachos

Try the yummy nachos! I pack mine with beans, rice, potatoes, cheese, tomatoes, corn, salsa, sour cream, avocado, and more! They also have bowls, burritos, and tacos. Very clean location. The staff was attentive and friendly. Thank you, Freebirds!!

3 steak tacos

I was sad eating my meal because it was easily the worst tacos I've ever had. You would be better off going to Taco Bell. Everything was cold and there was absolutely no flavor to it. I asked for 2 steak and 1 chicken, got all steak. No big deal. Asked for sour cream and had to ask for some after I paid because I noticed the employee forgot it. Again, no big deal but the staff was not attentive. Nice, but not attentive.

For my first time visiting Freebirds. I was expecting it to taste better Chipotle's but quitely have a wide range of burrito meat options. When I first arrived the atmosphere was laid back, but the service was TERRIBLE. The line consistened of one guy waiting to a ton of people waiting behind me. The staff didn't acknowledge the guy waiting. They instead asked me to place my order. I had to mention to the lady that he, was first and waiting longer than I was. The guy got this food, but did not pay awkwardly. When I got to the cashier the lady asked me if I was going to grab his tab. Hell, I don't even know the guy let alone am I going to pay for his meal. I don't think so. This particular day was very short staffed. I'm not sure what the other employees were doing in the back. But I surely know, they were not in the front helping out their crew members. It was just women workers, 1 lady on the grille and another one preparing the orders and cashiering. I ordered the grilled steak freebird burrito with a bottled cola. The options were minimum they didn't have any barbacoa and I was kinda looking to have that go on my burrito. The steak wasn't fresh nor was the bell peppers. The onions & bell peppers weren't sliced right. It was too thick to consume & tasted old. The lady preparing my burrito ran out of grilled steak and was scraping literally from the bottom of the pan for more. I had to wait 15 minutes for more steak. Out of all the options I added to my burrito it totally lacked in flavor. The queso didn't taste like a base cheese flavor, it was runny & watered down. The cilantro lime rice, was suppose to be cliantro & lime. I couldn't taste none of it. Umm.. so, I'm pretty puzzled by the missing flavors. Why didn't I taste the flavors of the other add-ons? While, I was eating I kept thinking that to myself. . why.. hmm. Team work most definately does not play a part here. Some guy came out the back, he had the dullest & clueless look on his face. Like he didn't understand what was going on. The options on the add-ons was varietied, but not extensive. I was hoping again the taste would unravel soon, but it never did disappointly. Chipotle is out sadly. Freebirds is too.. due to the lack of a seeking flavor that may not be found. So, my last resort is always Taco Cabana, but not on Bay Area and that's a different story. They just don't have it all together here at this location. Teamwork needs work and seasoning the food needs it too.

This review has great energy--you just need it tightened and cleaned 1000 dé cinco estrellas!…read more We visited El Jefe Pollo Asados (620 Nassau Rd in Webster) after a long day of touristy activities, exhausted, with a group of seven--including picky kids. We had so many restaurant options but chose this place because of the high ratings... and I'm so glad we did. I'll be honest--when we first arrived, I wasn't impressed with the outside or the area. I was a little hesitant going in. But the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. The place felt welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere--yes, a little loud--but in a good way. It's that lively Mexican vibe: music, micheladas, carne asada... all of it. We were just tired, so I think I noticed it more. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Maestro Plate but swapped the meat for short rib costillas--and OH. MY. GOSH. These were hands down some of the best costillas I've ever had. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor. I cleaned those bones completely--every single bite. The dish was served with perfectly grilled "nopales" and queso panela, que ricura! Ahhh, and of course the charro beans and rice that I barely made a dent in. The portions? HUGE. Two of us shared one plate and still had leftovers--and we can eat! Now this part says everything: my grandson, who is on the spectrum and very picky, ordered pollo asado... and he tore into it. No complaints, no hesitation--he finished his entire plate. That alone speaks volumes. My daughter had the birria (and she's a birria critic), and even she couldn't finish her plate because of how generous the portion was--but she said it was full of flavor and really good. My older grandson (big growing boy with an equally big appetite) had a birria quesadilla--again, huge portion--and even he couldn't finish it, which never happens. To top it all off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary dessert--warm, soft, pillowy sopapillas with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The kids were FULL... and still devoured every last bite. Not a crumb left. And let's talk about pricing... honey. Compared to Austin? This was a steal. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was for the quality and portion sizes. Amazing food, generous portions, great service, and a place that turned my hesitation into loyalty. They've earned our business--100%. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

The place we were going to eat in Galveston was too close to the cruise ship loading zone and…read moretraffic was bumper-to-bumper, so Google recommended this as a place on our way back to the airport. Glad it did! First, the wait time - we showed up on a Sunday morning, right after some kind of race in the area. They told us the wait would be about 45 minutes to an hour, and we waited 55 minutes. No big deal - at least their estimate was accurate. But beware if you're on a time crunch on a weekend at brunch time :) Great hash! I had CHRISTINA'S TAMALE CAKES (Benedict), and loved it. It was top two of my meals in this visit to Texas. The carnitas were flavorful, the poached eggs were perfect, the corn bread base on the tamale wrapper was awesome. If I could improve the dish - and that would be hard to do - I would ask for a bit more of that delicious green chile Hollandaise sauce on top, which I would buy by the jug if I could. The smashed potatoes were excellent - very well seasoned and oiled and salty to go with the sweet from my main dish. My companion loved her hash dish and I scooped up some of her sauce to eat the last few bites of my cornbread. Loudness - This place was LOUD. They had a DJ spinning some great music choices - but I couldn't really converse with my wife during breakfast. I am well aware that I sound old and crotchety. I love the clubs - but this was like being in a club during brunch. Hygiene - The hostess at the front desk station was on her phone the entire 55 minutes we were waiting. When I asked her if I could get a Bloody Mary to save me from boredom during the wait - she told me to hang on. Then she sat on her phone and talked and texted for another 5 minutes or so. My wife dropped a pair of tongs on the floor from the Bloody Mary bar. Another lady picked them up, and told the lady behind the station that it had fallen on the floor. She didn't wash it - she just stuck them back in the jar where people are grabbing the food for their Bloody Marys. In hindsight - I don't know if I would have taken advantage of the endless toppings on the bloody Mary bar.

I don't care if you're going for breakfast, brunch, or lunch... it's brunch and you're enjoying yourself. The atmosphere is fun. I don't know what it is, maybe the nostalgic music that was playing or just that brunch is a whole entire vibe. Could've been that I was just excited to celebrate our anniversary... whatever it is, I liked it. Our waitress was great. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name, but it started with a V. The menu options sounded so good that I struggled to decide what I wanted. I ultimately decided to go with the Croque Madam with over-easy eggs, and let me tell you, I was so happy with my choice... and the fact that I had leftovers. We had reservations at a fancy restaurant that night that I was excited to try, but I was seriously tempted to cancel my reservations for the chance to eat my leftovers. I thoroughly enjoyed it the next day though. My husband got Huevos Rancheros which is one of his favorite things to get when we go on a cruise. He said this one far surpassed his sea day brunch favorite. It's been a week since our visit and I've already made brunch plans with the girls so I can go back. Ü

The sauce was mild, aromatic, salted enough and not too dense. The enchiladas were full cooked and tender. The cheese amount was enough to get some richness without being too cheesy or greasy. The chicken was plentiful and soft in feel adding nice bite and some protein vibes. The rice was subtle, fluffy and comforting. The refried beans were thankfully chunky with a touch of pudding feel, not too smooth. They also had a very unique spice in them too, which was good. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I also plan to try their chipotle and spinach chicken enchiladas on future visits when in the area. Chips and salsa were pretty standard, but still good. The place feels authentically Mexican, which is a nice change-up from all of the Tex-Mex places that are so common. The music and decor is all on point! Service was above and beyond as well. Even for a Sunday at lunch time, the waiters were constantly checking on us to make sure our drinks were topped off and to make sure we didn't need anything. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in that part of town to try another of their enchiladas!

9/10 would definitely go back !…read more I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, and both were really good. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken more. It had amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked. The steak was good too, but it had more of a barbecue taste, which just isn't my personal preference I also heard the table next to me. Tell the waiter that they preferred the chicken over the filet mignon, which just goes to show that their chicken is superior. Next time, I'd probably stick with just the chicken fajitas. Let's talk about the sauces because they deserve their own moment. The green sauce that came with the chips was AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The red sauce was also really good -- both paired perfectly with the chips. For rice, I tried both the cilantro rice and the Mexican rice. They were both solid, but I liked the Mexican rice just a little more. One thing to keep in mind: toppings for fajitas are an extra charge. I got the garlic, onion, and Serrano topping with cheese -- and they do not play when they say it's spicy! It was delicious but very spicy. Also, it's a $5.99 upcharge, which is easy to miss. And heads up: they mix the Serranos into the cheese, so you can't really remove them once it's served. If you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend asking for the Serrano peppers on the side. The service was extraordinary -- super attentive and welcoming. The place was packed, but there was still plenty of parking, which was a plus. I didn't order drinks this time, but they looked really good. I'll definitely be back, especially for Margarita Monday -- $5 margaritas all day sounds like a deal I can't pass up. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be coming back!

The brisket was so tender and had just the right amount of sweet bbq sauce. The tacos also have cheese and there's lettuce on the side you can also add to the tacos. They give u the choice of 1,2, or 3 tacos and the tacos are huge. I would've been fine with one but they were so delicious that I have no regrets about ordering 2. The refried black beans were tasty. They give you the choice between those, charro beans and your standard refried beans. They also give you the choice between their house rice which is your typical Mexican rice or a cilantro greenish rice that I believe has a few bits of pork or ham in it. I chose the cilantro rice and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious. My cousin had 1 grilled fish taco plate and the same bean and rice sides I had and she also loved her food. The ambience, food, and great service make this the perfect dinner spot before a movie and a great start to the weekend!
