I came for a gala event over the weekend where they rented this space and was excited to check it out. There is plenty of parking as they have their own lot and we also were fine with parking across the street in the free two hour parking spots. The art center is small but a great way to see local art and pottery. They do have single stalls bathrooms inside the studio which is appreciated. It also looked like in one room they had jewelry for sale but I didn't give it a proper look as I was more focused on the artwork and decor. The reason for the docked star is simply because we wandered in as a part of an event that had rented the space and thus there wasn't a whole lot of art on display. What appeared to be up is their around the year collectibles and some small art work pieces. It's definitely better to plan ahead to come here when they are actually running an art exhibit or have an event specific to the art center. At least we got to check it out and have an idea about the space now. Very cool to have a place like this in Camarillo and eager to check them out again in the future so I can leave an updated review.

Ultimately, we decided to move on because my daughter has lost interest in dance, but there were a few things that became difficult for us over time. The studio follows the local school holiday schedule closely while continuing to charge full monthly tuition during breaks, which is something prospective families may want to be aware of. Recital tickets were also around $40 each, which felt expensive to us, especially considering the performances were held at a local high school auditorium. We also personally hoped to see a bit more choreography and variety in the younger beginner classes' recital performances given the overall cost. Overall, we had a positive experience, and we're especially grateful to Ms. Zoe for making dance such an enjoyable experience for our daughter.

I didn't have my phone or wallet with me, but went into Tree Lounge and asked the young barista if he wouldn't mind giving me a water cup. He was such a friendly guy, helping me like I was a paying customer. He didn't have to be as accommodating! I went back after my run to thank him, and get a cup of coffee. Pretty frustrating experience this morning. My wife put in a door dash order for my favorite coffee…read morelast night for my birthday. It was set to be delivered this morning. Order went through no problem. Trouble started this morning when my wife received a message from the driver that Tree Lounge doesn't have the order (first screenshot). My wife looks and sees she received a cancellation text for the order 1 minute after the driver's message (second screenshot). From the outside this looks like the driver walked in, asked for the order, they said they didn't have it and then cancelled it. So, my wife called Tree Lounge to see what is going on and was told that they cancelled the order because they were "in the middle of their rush". It's easy to see how poorly this situation was handled in general, but also clear no one checked online orders to prep the work for the morning. This order shouldn't be a surprise and the choice to just blind cancel it instead of making it because of what equates to "we're busy" is pretty bad. Takes a lot for me to leave a review. If you don't want to process online order during your rush then set those hours up in door dash. If you screwed up and just didn't check your online orders in the morning, then just make the drink as the next up order. Give it a try!…read more Long version: I used to dance competitive hip hop on a collegiate team years ago and have always wanted to go back, but studios like Snowglobe and Offstage are a trek from Camarillo. So I stopped. I was hesitant at first because a lot of studios in the area are tailored to children or workout programs for adults. But when I looked at classes, they have a great variety that are tailored to adults. Nothing wrong with 10 and younger but not quite the classes I'm looking for. I signed up for heels and had a lot of fun. I was a fish out of water and immediately changed into sneakers but that's because I've never done heels and jumped into intermediate/advance. Everyone seemed to know each other already so it was cool to see a community there. The space is great - a lot of floor space. Cubbies on the side. Bathroom. Lights. Can't really go wrong. Instructor and owner were really kind. Will definitely try other classes. Happy to see more diverse studios finally showing up in Camarillo.

I took a belly dance class with Haley, and I really enjoyed it. However, there are a few points…read morethat I was concerned about. 1) It is very important to stretch before exercising. Her class did not start up with a warm up stretching session. I would end up coming earlier and stretching before class. 2) Proper form and technique was not touched upon as thoroughly as it should have been. You can cause serious harm to yourself if you are not practicing the proper form while belly dancing. All dance classes I have taken previously emphasis safe dance practices, I didn't really get that from her class. Haley was a very fun instructor, and the practices were very enjoyable, but I wouldn't take the class again for the above specified reasons. Edit: I would also like to add that there was a day or two that she was clearly going through some personal trials and used the hour to make herself feel better (left all of us behind and danced for herself) instead of focusing on her students. That felt very unprofessional to me.

She's patient, thorough, talented, supportive and passionate about what she does…read more Don't worry about being a beginner, she makes you feel you are in a safe environment and will help you learn the basics. I took her Belly Dance classes for over a year but had to stop when my schedule got too hectic. From what I garnered, she loves to teach and see her students excel.
