When the lady answered the phone, I asked a price to clean guns. She put me on hold and when she came back she said it depended on the gun because its done hourly. I asked her what the hourly rate was and with an attitude she said "hold on". When she came back she said $60 an hour. I told her that sounded high and said thanks and she just hung up. Wow!

There is even a small grocery section that backpackers may appreciate. I spent most of my time looking at ice cream treats, t-shirts and sunglasses but I also checked out some other stuff like camo stove fuel, sleeping bags, dehydrated meals, bike repair tools, stickers and water bottles. Apparently the owner of this store use to have various storefronts offering outdoor gear, bikes, etc. but now I think they just have this general store. They no longer sell bikes but they have contact information for a mobile bike repair guy that is apparently awesome. This store is no more than several hundred yards from the Appalachian Trail and probably about a 1/2 mile from the C&O Canal Towpath.

The folks at South Carroll Sporting Goods had exactly what I was looking for, and for an unbeatable price! Their little shop does not look like much on the outside, but the atmosphere on the inside rocked! The folks in the front room made you feel welcomed and service was prompt. At the end of the sale I was given a hearty thank you and a firm handshake. You never get that personal touch at the "Big Box" stores! These guys knew their products, were true professionals when dealing with difficult customers (who changed their minds mid-transaction), and just let you know they cared about you as a person and not just as a customer! I spoke to the owner on December 19,2020, and he assured me that the gun was shipped to my FFL and should be there by Tuesday December 22, 2020. As of today December 31,2020, the gun has not been to my FFL and no one has returned my calls. I have called every day for the last week and a half. This is not good business! When you accept money from someone you should at least follow through with the purchase for customer satisfaction. I guess customer satisfaction isn't important to this company?

Of course if you want something they don't have in stock, there will be a few days before it comes in. However they place the order promptly and never leave you wondering when your ball will be ready. Bowlers Choice is located inside Terrace Lanes in Frederick, MD. They have another shop in Taney town, but I haven't been to that one yet. So join a league, get a ball and shoes from Bowlers Choice, and have some fun!
