Unfortunately, I had bad results. He replaced my implants (one had ruptured). I gave him my medical records which he seemed to review for the first time the morning of my surgery. The staff called me the morning of my procedure and instructed me to come in earlier than I was scheduled (inconvenient and stressful to say the least since I was relying on someone else for a ride - I felt so pressured I nearly called a cab!) Days after my surgery fluid collected in my breasts which Dr. Corbin removed through "exploratory surgery" reopening and resewing my incisions - obviously not good. The results of my surgery were uneven, different sized breasts. The left was larger and lower while the right was significantly smaller (a whole cup size smaller) and higher. The pocket of the right breast had a severe indentation at the bottom that was clearly visible when pressure was applied to the top of the breast. Dr. Corbin explained that it was due to suturing. Needless to say I looked ridiculous and after many emails and pics the staff finally scheduled me to have these issues corrected under the impression Dr. Corbin accepted responsibility. The day of my pre-op I was hit with a $4k bill. My jaw hit the floor as I explained I believed Dr. Corbin was correcting his mistakes as a courtesy. I was walking out of the office when they called me back in at which point they offered to correct these mistakes for $2k (anesthesia costs) to which I foolishly agreed. I followed up with an email as I learned quickly to document everything in writing. The response to my email was that Dr. Corbin would attempt to correct the pocket but I could not expect to have breasts of the same size - Incredible! I decided I'd rather not have implants at all and asked that Dr. Corbin remove them completely to which he agreed. The night before my 3rd surgery with Dr. Corbin Dee calls me and says that removing implants costs $6k!!! I absolutely refused to pay any more money. (I paid $8k for a botched job and another $2k to have them removed. That's more than enough). She called me back and told me that Dr. Corbin would perform my surgery after all. Really?! Thank you. The morning of the surgery Dr. Corbin offered to fix the pocket and if after I still was not satisfied he'd remove the implants without charge. I was thankful for his offer (the most generous by far throughout this experience) but after all I'd been through I did not want to face yet another surgery and more disappointment. I decided to have my implants removed. Weeks later, I received a bill from a medical lab for $400 as they sent the removed implants for testing (cancer cells I presume although it was not specified on the bill). Dr. Corbin's office told me it was standard procedure any time tissue is removed - not at all concerned with the results as they were only obtained after I requested them. (Funny, this procedure was not followed for my first surgery). I felt bled dry!!! My advice, if you're going to have surgery... choose a Dr. who takes the time to consult with you and review your case properly. A Dr. who is more interested in performing high QUALITY work over high QUANTITY. Better yet, love your body for what it is... there's no such thing as a perfect body! I feel more attractive now than I ever did with FAKE breasts. Be all NATURAL... you're BEAUTIFUL just the way you are! read more

So satisfied with my results! Had a saline implant rupture (from a different doctor) and had them both replaced with silicone. I was able to have them replaced within 3 weeks of rupture. They turned out great! Dr. Corbin and his staff were amazing and I highly recommend him!! read more

Was hesitant on coming here because of the2 "botched" reviews but when my friend came here and i saw the results i was like ok im doing it!! Went in for a breast augmentation and ended up going bigger.. I ended up booking my procedure that next week- its been a 6 days and i absolutely LOVE the results!!! Some people dont follow the instructions as to keeping the bra and strap on so of course if you dont take care of them they will come out lop sided . You have to follow directions and be patient instead of trying to show off your boobs right away and not use the right garments to help them heal properly. Again thank you dr corbin!!!! Definitely not a man for conversation. He walks into the room and gets straight to work with his measuring tape and marker. And besides, who would want to interrupt a physician who's trying to get you the perfect size and shape breasts? I didn't mind at all. Dr Corbin is great at what he does and is all about getting the job done. I had my surgery performed in October of 2010 and I can't say enough. He is pricey but why would you want to bargain shop for surgery of any kind? I highly recommend Dr. Corbin if you are seeking a "breast expert". He is straight forward about your expectations and he's got a helpful staff. If you're going to go under the knife, may as well pay the higher price and have them done right the first time. I came to Dr Corbin after searching online for the best plastic surgeon in my neighborhood for about two weeks. I have never had any type of surgery done in my life. When I came to the office everybody was very friendly and made we feel comfortable and answered all my questions. I felt that I got a good deal because I made the appointment right then and there and use my consultation fee towards the main fee. The surgery that I had done was a breast lift. I am 39 years old in two months and have not had any children, but have lost about 35 pounds over the past two years. I have very large breasts and had always dreamed of having them be perky and be able to go brawl us. I've always had to wear certain clothes because not everything would work with me. It has been about 2 1/2 weeks since I had the surgery and I am so happy to say that I can wear almost anything now. I can wear strapless bras, little bralettes, and even go braless. I'm not going braless yet because I'm still healing, but I can tell by the way I try on my clothes. Dr. Corbin is very nice and friendly, which was all so important to me. Well where do I start I had two breast surgeries a Breast Augmentation and then a Breast lift with Dr. Corbin and my Nose done as well. Surgery did go wrong and he immediately flipped into defensive mode and blamed me for his bad work and guidance. I am a 24 year old mother of 2 who has managed to lose over 70lbs all on my own. I have given myself the body I never dreamed I could have. Unfortunately though, when all the weight went, so did my breasts. After breast feeding 2 babies and dropping all my pre and post pregnancy weight, I had nothing left on my chest. After a year of maintaining my new sculpted body, I decided to reward myself with a breast augmentation. I have never experienced any kind of surgery before, so when I decided to get a breast augmentation done, I knew I had to find nothing but the best for myself. I was terrified of the whole procedure and not really sure what I was getting myself into. Everything from deciding on the right size, the anaesthesia, recovery, all the way to choosing the right pain medication was stressful and uncharted territory for me. With this requires a longer operation and more recovery, not something I had even considered. I was fortunate enough to have my first consultation with Dr. Corbin in Canada, where he explained the whole procedure to me. He informed me of all the possible risks, the healing process and answered all of my questions. I knew right away this was someone who was extremely knowledgeable and I trusted him to do the operation on me. Shortly after, I booked my appointment and my flight to California. I arrived in California on a Wednesday afternoon where I had my pre-operation appointment at the Brea Office. The staff there was so friendly and patient with me as I tried on several different sizes before finally deciding on 375cc implants. With Dr. Corbin's expertise, he suggested using a smaller implant on my left side due to uneven breasts. I left the office feeling confident that I had made the right choice. My surgery was the next morning (Thursday). I arrived at the office where, again the staff went over the sizing I had chose, and made me feel so comfortable despite my fear of the fast approaching operation. Once in the operation room, Dr. Corbin and his staff had me feeling so calm and comfortable. After the operation, I have had very minimal swelling, no noticeable bruising and over the top results! I am so thrilled with how my breasts have turned out. Everything from the placement, sizing and minimal scaring has been above and beyond my expectations. I truly appreciate that Dr. Corbin took into consideration my young age, and wanted to make sure I had very little/no scarring left on me. He also considered the fact that I had flown in to see him, and made sure to make my sutures dissolvable as I would not be able to return to his office to have them removed. The few remaining days I had in California for recovery went extremely well, with daily check ups from Dr. Corbin and his staff on how my recovery was going and again, answered all my questions that I had. So I am not a patient of Dr. Corbin but my wife is. She recently had a mommy makeover. Dr. Corbin is not warm and fuzzy, but what he is, is a good, knowledgable ps that did a fantastic job. My wife had her reservations post surgery due to the expected pain and discomfort but 5 weeks later she is more than happy with the results. The bottom line is there are a ton of ps's, you could search forever and become frustrated. Don't go too much based on websites. Get referrals from friends or past patients. read more

I have been in alot of operating rooms and have worked with alot of surgeons. I am a student in the surgical technology program. The first thing I noticed in the Brea Office was the excellent sterility of the instruments and the operating room. I was very impressed with the surgerys I witnessed less blood which is amazing especially during surgery. Dr. Corbin is truly an artist and an excellent surgeon. The technique he uses during surgery and the way he truly takes his time with his patients during surgery shows that the patient on the operating table is in the best hands of a surgeon. Ok, Let me first start by saying that this is my 1st Yelp review. I'm just not the type to sit down and write reviews. I either become a loyal patron or I never set foot in an establishment again. However, I do frequently refer to Yelp reviews to get a heads up on or about certain services before making a final decision. This is why I feel finally compelled to take the time to register a Yelp account and write this review in order to voice my experience with potential Corbin patients/clients thinking about getting a procedure done by him. I had a gynecomastia procedure performed several years ago with horrible results. At that time, I chose local anesthesia so I was wide awake and coherent during the entire surgery which was probably my first mistake. It was a nightmare and a complete disaster. I was in excruciating pain and I could feel almost everything throughout the surgery... the burning... the pulling of breast tissue from my muscle... and finally the cutting of my good healthy pectoral muscles. Corbin tried administering more local anesthesia several times but it never worked. I had to grit my teeth and bare it. It was literally torture but to me it was worth it as long as I got the results I had asked for which was no more breast tissue. As you can probably guess, Corbin did not remove all the breast tissue. In fact, Corbin only removed about 30% of it. Corbin told me during the surgery how surprised he was at how much breast tissue I actually had. I could tell he was getting frustrated. Corbin finally cut the surgery short. He ended it either out of sheer frustration and or for time restraints he may of had for another surgery Whatever the case, he only removed a fraction of the tissue. During the post-op visit when Corbin removed the draining hoses/bags, I pointed out all of the areas where the breast tissue was not removed. Corbin told me that the areas were just swollen and that they would subside over time. What a lie!!! After several weeks when all the swelling was gone, the areas remained the same... Not only was it breast tissue, but now it was lumpy breast tissue. This now really concerned me. Subsequently, I called their office several times to schedule a visit with Corbin but all I got was the runaround. I was told he was on vacation and/or they did not have any times available. It was like they didn't care... like they already had my money... on to the next client. I gave up. About me: I am 42, fit... not obese or overweight. I am a health nut who goes to the gym at least 5 days a week. I take my appearance and aesthetics seriously and try to maintain an athletic physique year round as I was a former model. My gynecomastia was caused at puberty when I was 13 and always kinda bugged me. I still remember the day it happened. Now: Since the surgery, I can not take my shirt off in public nor have I done so in the years since the procedure. In fact, I won't even let my wife see me... not in the light anyway. At least before the surgery, my chest looked even and in proportion unlike now. What really kills me though is that I'm so embarrassed about my appearance that I can't even go with my children to the beach or take them to the pool. I dread summer now. Now I'm always making some excuse or reason as to why I can't go to or participate in situations where I may be expected to take my shirt off. My young ones are missing out and I definitely know that I'm missing out. All the moments... all the summers. The anxiety of summer right around the corner has compelled me to finally speak out and write this review. I am sad... I am outraged... both at Corbin but most importantly at myself. I should have never got this procedure. I can not and will not ever recommend Dr Frederic Corbin to anyone. I have relayed my experience with many acquaintances throughout the years. Dr Corbin's work is sloppy, rushed and without warranty. I found his office indifferent, unprofessional and without empathy. In retrospect, I realized that it was always about the sale and once they got my money, I was no longer important or a concern. Dr Corbin has dramatically effected my life... ruined it to some extent, but like the surgery I have no choice but to grit my teeth and bare it. read more

I had my breast augmentation done by Dr. Corbin 11 years ago. I was a part of the trial for silicon implants to show they are safe so the FDA would approve them. That was, at the time, the only way to get the silicon implants I wanted. I didn't want saline implants. I wanted a natural look and I couldn't achieve that with saline because I have a wide chest and that means a large space between my breasts. I was a A- before this and only wanted my implants for myself. I had a nice sized butt and just wanted to be proportioned. Finding a bathing suit was impossible unless I wanted a ton of padding in the top. Although I was flat chested, I had ski slope boobs so I also needed a half moon lift. He was pleased to hear all I wanted to do was be proportioned. He told me no matter what I do I will always have this gap between my breasts and that was fine. I went with 400cc silicon and got my lift too. They look amazing. So amazing I had 2 friends bet if they where real or fake. One knew I had surgery and the other had seen me naked and said no way they could be fake cuz you can't see a scare and they lay so natural. That tells you how good they look. To this day half the people I know have no idea they aren't natural. I highly recommend Dr. Corbin. Of course not everyone can be pleased and they wrote a bad review. I'm sure it was unreal expectations that lead to those reviews. read more
