I called this doctor's office at 2:40 this afternoon. The receptionist answered the phone and immediately put me on hold. After 10 minutes of being on hold they hung up on me. I called back and I was again immediately put on hold. 10 minutes later again the phone hung up. I called back and they were closed! Horrible customer service. If this place is so hard to get a phone called answered I can't imaging the doctors work is any better. Unfortunately your reply is a complete lie. This review is long over due but I wanted to make sure others know how amazing Dr. Ng is. Dr. Ng is an absolute Angel, truly a gift from Above. From the moment I met her I knew she was trustworthy, reliable, educated and skilled. She spent the first 15 minutes invested in hearing our story and why we were there to see her. She genuinely wanted to help us and turn our situation for the better. She was recommended by Hoag and they have given me a charity care because I'm out of work she received over $700 from my insurance and she is still sending me to collections for a $75 copayment and I have triple negative breast cancer and there's no compassion. I am very grateful that I was referred to her. I have been struggling with my keloid for three years and it had made a huge impact on my image. My primary doctor has referred me to a couple doctors and they have said no it was risky. All I asked was for it to be cut off. We got lucky the day we went to CHOC and Dr Ng was on staff that day. I mean usually you don't say lucky and hospital in the same sentence right? Well, she was wonderful! My son who is 4 could tell she would help his injured foot and seemed to be ok with her and I could tell too that she was the right person to perform surgery on him. You are always nervous as a parent but Dr Ng was so calm and thorough with explaining everything to me. Post op she came and went over everything on how to care for him and what to look for but we had no problems at all. Now, today...the cast came off and OMG its incredible!!! We came to Dr. Ng after a year of observations of a nevus that was planned to be removed from my son's arm. Dr. Ng professional observation confirmed our suspicion and we immediately starting coordinating a surgery to remove the bad cells from my 2-year old son's right arm. Dr. Ng was extremely professional, treated respectfully, following up multiple times after the survey, and overall provided an amazing experience to a situation that was inherently difficult for us to go through. I believe that without Dr. Ng's persistence and professionalism we would not have accomplished similar results. Having high risk for breast cancer I decided to do an elective mastectomy and hence, reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ng made me feel comfortable from the first office visit, through the surgery day, to the follow up visit after the surgery. Never once was I worried or confused about anything. She fully explained the surgery and recovery process. Her office staff submitted claims to insurance. Although the claims were denied, the staff and Dr. Ng tried their best to get them covered. In the end, the insurance didn't cover the "cosmetic part" (the reconstruction part,ie: Dr. Ng's part), BUT Dr. Ng worked with my breast surgeon to move the mastectomy / reconstructive surgery from a hospital setting that cost $70K+ to the outpatient surgery center which saved me 80%. She even had to buy new equipment to make this happen. My second surgery to remove the expanders and add final implants was smooth and quick, plus they look amazing - Dr. Ng is so very talented. She understood that I didn't want to have huge or little implants and worked with me to find the right size for my frame and mind! I am extremely happy! Finally, her compassion was invaluable throughout this journey, especially on surgery days! Her explanation of what to expect was reassuring and pragmatic. I've been a competitive roller skater my entire life and I have had my fair share of skating related injuries to recover from, including 4 reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries. I'm 26 years old now and I don't have any plans to stop skating any time soon because I've built my life and business around it. In August, while skating at Volcom Bro's in Mammoth Lakes, I was cut off by a small kid on a scooter while skating down a long "run" and I fell back on to my left hand causing my wrist to snap in half. It was terrible! Ugh. Luckily for me, I was referred to see Dr. Ng and I was impressed and very satisfied with the entire process. I was able to get the surgery I needed within I days and I was on track to recover before I even knew it. After only two weeks after my plate surgery, I was able to have my cast removed and began physical therapy techniques. My wrist feels great, and I almost forget sometimes that it was ever broken. Doctor: 5/5 Office staff: 3/5 Surgical center: 5/5 Billing situation: 2/5 First of all, Dr. Ng is a talented surgeon and has an endearing personality. She was professional and wrote down what I was communicating to her. She helped to sew up the large stretch marks on both of my legs. My skin is very prone to hyperpigmentation and stretch marks. I was recommended to just sew up the marks. Dr. Ng was so sweet and a great listener. She took the time to cover as much of the marks as possible. I appreciate her work and care. But then, my skin is so prone to stretching that a bit of the surrounding areas sewn together start developing smaller stretch marks. I don't think that's the fault of the surgery though. Overall, the whole thigh areas have improved greatly. I highly recommend Dr. Ng because of her talent, authenticity, and listening skill. I called in the office a few times to speak to her after my surgery, and she took the time to call me back. I remember falling asleep during the surgery and hearing her finding my tights that the hospital staff hid somewhere for safety. She's the best part of this whole experience. On to the office staff, my interactions were mostly pleasant, but short. There is one lady there who usually takes me to the back. She was always so happy and jolly! I wish that I would know them better, since I've been back and forth so often. The center that I received treatment in was called the Pavilion Surgical Center. Everyone there was nice and sweet. The nurse put the blankets in the dryers so they're warmed. She made a lot of jokes too. Everyone made the experience as friendly and nice as possible. I felt at ease with the nurses at the facility. They were really lovely and seemed to enjoy what they do. They held my hands when I woke up too. Now the drama is the billing situation. As a person with backgrounds in finance and healthcare systems, I used to look at my friends in bewilderment when they talked about how traumatizing American healthcare handles finances. I even thought this shouldn't be hard because I'm a cash patient. By the way, the doctor's office and the surgical center are separate. Let me just list out the situation and let others be the judge: 1. The financial statement/billing sent by the Pavilion Surgical Center on how much I owed extra looked like it was compiled by an intern. That is not a normal billing statement or even like a receipt. I don't understand the abbreviation, the math, and then the $470 randomly inputted at the bottom of the paper. When I called the billing center to explain, they said something about anesthesia. When I called again, the lady on the phone irritatingly responded it was actually the facility fee because it took longer than expected. They wouldn't know the actual time of the procedure until it was done. That makes sense. But where is all of that on the paper so I didn't have to call? Why did I receive two different answers? It felt like there's something fishy in the financials of the center because they don't want to be accountable for what could be "used" against them. 2. This is not a big point about the Dr. Ng's office staff again, but the email etiquette and financial quote could look and sound more professional. The emails with financial details in them ought to have capitalized titles and greetings. I was provided a quote verbally until I asked for it in email. In other medical offices, I always received a paper or the PDF of my procedure, with info of the office and how long the price was valid for. The two emails I received had no greetings, no PDF, no capitalization for the titles, and minimal complete sentences. 3. So I called the office regarding the mysterious $470 because the procedure took longer than expected. I'm not sure who I talked to, but she was so quick to say Dr. Ng's office had nothing to with the surgical center and they're separate. There was no listening, and I wasn't even complaining. I don't know why that tone was necessary because I called for clarification. It's strange that everyone I spoke to sounded like they're dodging the responsibility, even though I'm trying to PAY. Overall, do not be deterred to come to Dr. Ng because of other people. They can't replace the doctor and her talent. It's important to find a good doctor regardless of any other situation. I highly recommend Dr. Ng for sewing up stretch marks! Despite other people, I would come back for her again :). read more

Honestly, I don't even have the words to describe how much I love and appreciate Dr. Ng and her team. I recently am recovering from breast reduction/ lift and panniculectomy. As with any surgery I was nervous. I had a gastric sleeve done back in April of last year and lost 140lbs. I was referred to Dr. Ng for the lift and removal of extra skin. From the moment I walked in the office I was greeted and welcomed with warm smiles and open arms. After a breast cancer diagnosis, I was referred by my breast surgeon to Dr. Ng for a bilateral reduction and lift as a part of my lumpectomy. Dr. Ng is amazing. She was patient and kind, answered all of my questions and re-assured me both during our pre-op meeting and on the day of surgery. I felt 100% confident in her abilities.
