The restaurant offers ample parking. It is decorated like most Midwest Mexican restaurants. The table had a tacky feel to it, but at least we were seated quickly. Our complimentary chips and salsa were delivered quickly by a gentleman who seemed to be tasked with chip, salsa and water delivery. The water came 5 minutes later. After about 15 minutes we were waited on. Our waiter was good but was clearly only there to take our order. My dining partner and I discussed the staffing and decided it was adequate but not well coordinated. Our drinks were good but also took a long time to be delivered. When the food came, neither of us had hot rice or beans; however, our main meals were appropriately hot. We both thought our main meal was flavorful and of ample size. Overall, I'd give it a second try. Staffing was odd but food and drinks were good.

Los Magueyes is more generous with portions and serve bean dip as complimentary with the tortillas. Day and night difference in the 2. Now both have their specialties and the food is good at both. For overall experience, I would go with Los Magueyes hands down.

It was supposed to be two enchiladas with ground beef. What came out was almost unrecognizable It looked like a plate of soup. I've attached a photo of this disaster The refried beans were very runny as was whatever it was that covered the enchiladas They were soggy and bland This restaurant has gone through many changes over the years and I was very hopeful that we might have another good Mexican restaurant here but they really need to take a good hard look at what they are offering. This meal was just terrible The chips brought out with a watery red "salsa" were stale and the salsa was bland and just like red colored water. They tried to liven it up with a little bowl of refried beans as a dip but that really didn't work either A good cheese sauce (warm) would be much more pleasant offering But the main meal was just sad. A watery plate of something that neither looked or tasted appetizing I want this place to succeed! I just think they need to send their cooks to a good culinary school to learn how to cook real Mexican food that is both flavorful and appealing. By the way the Margarita was OUTSTANDING! The bartender got this right! They have a wonderful facility to work with, some great waiters to sell the product. Now they just need to work on the food! Come on guys, even a Gringo can make better enchiladas!

There were about 3 tables inside and a birthday party outside(it was almost over) when we walked in. Stood there for a few minutes and then the bartender (guessing he may have been the manager) said we could sit anywhere. We picked a table and waited and waited-everyone was going around lost, looked at us and no one stopped to help us. We were just about to walk out. Finally the same bartender asked if we had been helped yet and we said no so he asked what we wanted to drink, we ordered pops and he said it was on him and he was sorry about that. He came out from behind the bar and went to the host stand and got us menus and silverware-at this time the host finally came back to her station and said she didn't see us walk in-well no she didn't, she wasn't there. Then there was a conversation between bartender and host about who was gonna be our waitress. Sat there for awhile looking at the menus and no waitress, finally just about fed up and she showed up. She asked if we wanted any apps, we said no and said we were ready to order. I ordered 10 wings and asked about two sauces, which she was unsure of the difference, she said she was fairly new and just learned them all, but did answer my questions. I ordered spicy garlic and spicy Thai sauces on the side. After I ordered she asked what my pop was, I said it didn't make a difference as the bartender said he covered the cost. She said just so she knows for refills and such. Husband ordered 10 traditional wings with the maple bacon bbq sauce. Also ordered a Philly cheesesteak w/fries for us to try. We both got carrots, celery and blue cheese. Our food was delivered in a timely manner. For my wings-she brought boneless, which I realized I didn't specify so not her fault, but my husband's was also boneless and he had ordered traditional. I asked her about it and she said oh, I didn't hear him, I just put boneless in because most people that dine in order them because of the deal. I stated well we didn't know there was a deal as no one told us. She just said oh well most people know the deal before they come in and I said we didn't. And she just looked at me. So I asked well what is the deal and she's like well boneless wings are $0.80 each. I said ok. We sent his back as I knew he ordered traditional. When she checked on us while waiting for his to be fixed, I asked about my sauces. It did not taste like a spicy garlic. She said it is, I said well it tastes like buffalo-which it did, No garlic flavor at all. She just said that's weird and walked away. Finally my husband's new Wings came out and they were really good, best part of the meal, he did get all flats, which I love but he prefers a mix (not sure if they always do flats or not). Most laughable part of the meal is , we get the bill and lo and behold the 2 pops were on there. (They charge for the veggies, blue cheese and and extra sauces as well.) She came to take our bill and I said those two pops should not be on there, the bartender said he was gonna cover those, she said I didn't know, he didn't say anything to me. (I bit my tongue, I was gonna say--but I told you at the beginning). So she said she would go take them off, took her a bit, but did get it resolved. We saw her more when it was time to pay then the whole rest of the meal! Also, the men's bathroom stall door wouldn't stay closed and toilet didn't flush. There was also a lot of confusion when a few other tables came in and then they were talking about better let the kitchen know there's a table of 6, like it was group of 16... Overall we won't go back, which is too bad as the chicken wings were good, even the boneless ones were tender.
