This may be the best store ever. Very modern and clean, polite and helpful staff, a tremendous variety of products and the lowest prices. I typically use their app to order my groceries and their staff members do all the shopping for me at no extra cost. Due to my personal health problems, this is incredibly helpful to me. Also, using their app, you have access to their electronic coupons which offer tremendous savings. They will also accept paper coupons before finalizing your purchase. The team members who have brought groceries out to my car are consistently both friendly and efficient and I have never had a missing product. I believe that this situation has been resolved, the Manager that verbally abused me in public has been relocated. The atmosphere is better. This store is a normally a wonderful place to shop, and all of the employees have been very helpful when asked for assistance. I think that they have a great buyer for clothing selection, their jewelry store always has options at different price levels and also has great customer service. I always shop the sales in grocery and sundry items and they seem to have everything I need in stock and offer $5 chicken with free sodas on Thursdays. I'm addicted to their Kettle Corn! I went through the self serve line, that one with the long belt. A clerk walked through the other way, there really is no room for more than one person, but she looked through my cart as if I was stealing something. I brought my own bags and maybe she thought something was in there, but I scanned everything in my cart, because why wouldn't I? A girl was behind me, but she did not give her the same courtesy to look through her basket. As I was getting ready to leave she made sure to get close to me while my back was turned and say "have a nice day" but clearly not in a nice way. Being a POC it was hard to not feel racially profiled. But I prayed for that woman. We all have bad days or whatever. Frequently, the price advertised is not the price that is charged. On Nov. 6th, at the Salmon Creek Fred Meyers, I was charged $9.99 for toilet paper advertised at $6.99. At the self check out, I asked the clerk to verify as the item was close to the check out area. She verified that the advertised price (yellow sticker) showed $6.99 with card which I entered. This happens way more often than it should and most people probably don't check what they're being charged. For months now, I have avoided shopping at any Fred Meyers as I find their advertising to be very deceptive and their prices to be very high. Shame on you Fred Meyers! read more

PICK UP: Overall this is a great service that is offered. It's very convenient. You order online, pay online, then drive up, either use the app or call them to let you know you arrived and then they bring groceries to your car. My main problem, and this happened twice, is that they will not give an obvious replacement if your item is there. For example, I ordered everything for a sandwich, lettuce, tomatoes, break, sandwich meat, mayonnaise. I got everything except the break. Yes, I did order Franz Bread (or something like that) and instead of getting me a different 9 grain break, they just didn't give me any bread. They normally offer something but this time, nope. The problem was that I picked up on the way to work so that I could have this for lunch for the week. Guess what I had that day for lunch. Rolled meat. read more

Honestly I can't deal with this FM anymore. They're so freaked out about shoplifting that they've turned the place into Fort Knox and it's actually really hard to just walk in, buy groceries, and walk out. The security guard posted at the door checking receipts is annoying enough, but then a few times ago the receipt printer jammed at the end of our checkout and they told us we literally couldn't exit the store until they fixed it and got our receipt. I said just go grab a manager to escort us out and explain to the security guard (which like, again, this is already an ABSURD amount of security for fking groceries) and they just looked worried and confused and said nothing. We waited for like 5 minutes while they tried to fix the receipt machine. Next time I would tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine- seriously, if the Checking of the Receipt is such a sacred and inviolable part of the shopping experience here, you'd damn well better have workarounds for when the printer jams that don't involve, you know, unlawful detainer. Then the last time we were there we wanted to buy limoncello but that was again behind lock and key. We all know it takes forever once you push the button for a sales associate (because of course greedy Kroger isn't about to staff the stores appropriately) and I don't have that much time to spare for a spritz. No problem mates, we'll just go to Total Wine and buy it from a business that actually *wants to sell it to us*. The produce section is pretty sparse and basic for such a big store in a nice area, but again, it's clear that this location is just.. not really that interested in the business of selling groceries. They're in the business of reducing shrinkage. And I guess making it nearly impossible to take goods out of the store is a surefire way to do that! But it's somewhat problematic when your whole business is people paying for your goods and then taking them out of the store. Yes, we all know, theft is at an all-time high, blah blah blah. But when you make your store a series of obstacle courses to do business with, you have lost the plot in a MAJOR way. Also Kroger Corp netted $31.8 billion in gross profit in 2023. Being this afraid of shrinkage is pathological, and a person with such an irrational outsized fear would be prescribed medication for it. This used to be our go-to on the weekends after a nice walk at the Greenway trail to the south. Now we're doing way more Chuck's and Winco even though it's logistically less desirable from that location. read more

I hate Fred Meyers, every time I come I'm reminded how much I hate it. If only I could remind myself not to go. Self check out is a joke and it's not for everyone, but it's definitely forced on you. They only have 3 check stands open, that are always incredibly long. The staff is always nice and helpful. BEWARE! Every time you walk in to a fred meyer store you are being robbed! I got into the habit of checking my receipt after every shopping experience with f/m a few years ago. The store in Hazeldell overcharged every time I went there. I use the pickup service. Either I would be charged for missing items, electronic coupons weren't applied or they charged full price instead of sale price. And it's not just a few cents here and there. My highest f/m robbery experience was over $30.00. Every order from that store there was an error on the receipt. I stopped going to that location and started going to the one on Mill Plain off of I-205. They've been good until today when they charged me for 8 items that I ordered but didn't receive on the pickup. This company is robbing cucustomers out of millions of dollars every year. Their customer service line is AWFUL! I was on hold for almost 40 minutes and was hung up on! And the company treats the employees horribly with no benefits. read more

The store was clean and well organized with self checkout cash registers near the North side of the store. The parking lot also contains Tesla Superchargers at the North end of the main parking lot. This review is for the Fred Meyer Jewelers at Salmon Creek. I didn't see a separate page just for them but wanted to leave this feedback. I went in a couple weeks ago on a Monday. I had two items that required repair - a sterling silver necklace that needed the clasp soldered and a gold hoop earring that the post had broken (I still had the post). I was asked to leave the pieces and they would call me with a quote before starting the work. The girl said she couldn't imagine more than $40 for both repairs. She quoted me a completion date of about 10 days. No sooner had I left than she called me back and said the jeweler was on vacation and it would be a few days later for completion. I said OK. She called me a couple days later and quoted me $45 for the necklace and $75 for the earring repair. This is INSANE. The 14kt gold hoops didn't even cost me much more than $75. I instructed them not to do any work and I would be there to pick up the pieces. I went to Celebration Jewelers in Battleground the next day. They gave me an estimate on the spot for the necklace of $32 and said they would call with the earring price once the repairman got in later that day. They called me a couple hours later with the price on the earring of $35. I told them to do it. Celebration completed the repair in less than 48 hours later. Total cost $67 compared to Fred Meyer cost of $120 which is SIGNIFICANTLY less. DO NOT have your jewelry repaired here! read more

Just received a delivery order from Fred Meyer. Had ordered pepperoni. They were out of the brand I wanted. Instead of either deleting it or providing another brand, the shopper included an entire pizza kit that expired in October, 2020. The pepperoni was grey and rotten. When I called customer service the rep was snarky, unprofessional and only apologized after I repeated how disappointing it was to receive rotten food. I was raised in Portland and shopping at Fred Meyer's is a tradition spanning many decades. I have grown accustomed to having a reliable store in my neighborhood with everything my family needs...however today marks a turning point. After months of renovations the new Fred Meyer no longer has the everyday products I need available (comet, barbasol shaving cream, copper cleaner and the list goes on...) and customer service is lacking. They argued with my husband that "Frozen" themed bags were freezer bags because they said they were frozen. He explained that was a movie not the type of bag and they couldn't comprehend it! 2. After being to several Super Markets in several states I can honestly and confidently say that this location truly is "woohoo! as good as it gets!" Why would I dole out such a stamp you ask? For so many reasons... honestly this location excites me so much I'll have to probably keep editing this review every time I remember something that makes it so great! - Extremely large and fully stocked. I can pretty much find anything here when it comes to groceries. - They have a regular retail store on both sides if you need to pick up any clothing items...etc. - Their fully stocked with friendly employees deli has Boar's Head products... So, since the new corporation took over a few years ago, this location continually declines and after todays events I will no longer be shopping at this store or the Fred Meyer franchise Middle of Sunday and every single aisle was full of unstocked merchandise making it very difficult for other shoppers and carts to navigate. Maybe do that at night when there aren't any shoppers. But that is not my incident today, VERY rude manager up front not sure she really liked her job. I am 50 and my ID expired three days ago- waiting for new one in mail. But they did an ID check and wouldn't sell a bottle of wine to me. I'm 50, and clearly 3 days ago I was 3 days younger with a non expired ID and can legally purchase alcohol. Must be a new company policy which is way beyond the "we ID anyone who looks under 30" standards. Like frisking elderly woman and babies for bombs at the airport. I purchased two cables in January for $20 each. They were they wrong ones. I sat on them for six months, but they were nee in box and with receipt. I was told they only honor 90 days. I just returned a malfunctioning HP printer to Costco that was 13 months old and no questions were asked. My family has spent tens of thousands at Fred Meyer for food, jewelry, auto, household, and electronics and all I wanted was a credit or the correct cables and this was too much to ask. I handed the cables to the clerk (an older blonde) in customer service and told her to put them back in stock or throw them out. She made a gruff fave and chucked them out. $40.00 in the toilet. When I shop Fred Meyer I usually shop at the Tenney Rd. store. Today I was shopping there for a specific item - a buy one get one free sale on boneless chuck roasts. I saw a couple that I liked in their meat counter. I was being helped by a wonderful person named Linda. As it turned out she was actually off work when she started to help me. Between the two of us I found, with Linda's help, two great roasts. I just want to say how much I appreciated Linda's service. She definitely went above and beyond to give me the very best service. If you're visiting (from a state like AZ) & need items that require an ID. Hiiiiiighly do NOT recommend coming here. I am a single mother who just recently moved to Salmon Creek, I do not have my car just yet. So everywhere I go is either on foot or to call an uber/lyft. Last night, was horrible... I just got off work and was in dire need of baby food/formula water. After trying to purchase two 16oz adult beverages, fruits, & baby food... they(cashier, floor/front end manager, and another manager "from the back")look at my ID and refused to complete my purchase telling me my ID was not valid. They immediately got on their phones and looked at me shaking their head.... On the verge of breaking down, I just turned away because of the scene that was caused over my VALID drivers license. The cashier repeatedly telling me "there's noooo way a drivers license expires on your 65th birthday....... i was trained that ID's expire after 5/6 years.." ....whoever is training these workers is obviously not up to date with drivers licensing laws.. I went to Safeway two mins away from this place; now THEY were extremely friendly and not only understanding but the cashier & his manager were EDUCATED on the current licensing laws(informing me of a new law AZ is trying to pass in terms of having to change your picture). Sucks because being that I live so close, I frequent this store everyday. I have had a continuing problem with curbside pickup and the quality of the items received. I have been given celery that was rotting/ smelling, carrots covered with black mold, and baked goods past their expiration date. Eggs are put at the bottom of the bag under heavy items, resulting in at least a couple ruined eggs, and a sticky mess of an egg carton. The canned goods are even worse. I have been given tomato sauce in cans so severely dented they can't stand upright. Once a can had fractures and spilled tomato sauce over everything in the bag. Yesterday I paid for 6 cans of tomato sauce. 5 of the cans were severely dented. Because they may have been compromised, I am now out $6. I don't have the time or means to replace them to make the spaghetti I had planned. I can't just go pick up new ones because there is a $4.95 service fee if you don't spend at least $35. ( unlike Target for example, where there is no $ minimum and pickup is always free) I believe that the employees are picking items from the garbage/ discard piles back in the storeroom. I know that many items I receive could never be sold off the shelves. I have completed feedback forms after each order. I have talked to customer service representatives. It took a week to get a refund on the rotting vegetables, so I don't even bother now. The app claims products are in stock, but invariably there are a handful of items that are not available. That leads me to believe that the employee fulfilling the order just couldn't be bothered to look. I keep returning to Freddie's because it is the closest store to me, the employees who load the car are always prompt and friendly, and prices are competitive. Because of Covid I have not entered the Tenney Road store since before Thanksgiving. There were so many customers with no masks, and a couple of the cashiers routinely wearing their mask below their noses. Curbside is much safer for sure, but it is often frustrating. I feel that curbside customers are being taken advantage of by being given rotting, expired or damaged items. You don't know until you get home to unpack, and by then it is too late to do anything about it. All in all, it is very poor customer service at the Tenney Road Fred Meyer. read more

They do not follow WA state mandate re wearing masks. Per a store director, "No one will be turned away for not wearing a mask." I usually arrange for pick-up of groceries, but yesterday that was not possible. I found that about 25% of customers were not wearing a mask. I am at-risk category due to age and complex medical status. I shall not shop Fred Meyer until there is a vaccine for Covid19. The store director said the mask decision is a financial decision. The pharmacy here is awful. They never have the prescription prepped when you arrive, even though the doctor has already ordered it. You have to wait in a slow line twice, first to verify you're there and then again for pickup. Typical wait times are 45 to 90 minutes total. No sweat, because we're switching to Walgreens. read more

My family and I are on vacation we just walked into the store today at 12:30 4/5/2023. We needed to use the bathrooms and buy facial tissue. We were using the Tesla charge stations that's what brought us into this particular grocery store. As I said earlier we needed to use the bathrooms. And the entire hall that leads to the bathroom two employees were behind us talking, one about her upcoming vacation. My family of four was walking as fast as possible, because I know what that's like to be on break and customers might be in the way. One of them goes into the bathroom right behind us. I'm coming out of the bathroom stall and store associate just cuts me off, as I'm trying to wash my hands. So I just wait until she's done washing her hands. And I'm waiting on my child to finish up in the bathroom as well. The employee leans over and from the hand washing station. And says "is everything okay," but it was more in a sarcastic, condescending tone. And I tell her " I'm waiting for her to be done washing her hands at the sink." I've never gone to a grocery store and an employee was looking for a fight. They usually just work and nice and respectful since I'm a paying customer. She needs more customer service skills training. I worked in customer service my entire life and I never treated a customer like this before.
