Fresh, flavorful, and some of the best we've had. What really made our visit special, though, was the experience. We enjoyed great conversation, and one of the highlights was seeing the owner's son proudly show us the crab he had caught. It gave us a glimpse into the local fishing life and made the meal feel even more authentic. Great food, warm hospitality, and a genuine local atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our Oregon trip. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

(It's good if you are not in a hurry.) For market shopping, look for sales for the week and use your Safeway card to get the best deal and discounts. ( To become a member, you just need a cell number or or get a Safeway member #.) Then use your Safeway card number when buying Safeway gas to additional savings! When we went we got .30 cents off each gallon ( I don't know how that gas savings program works.)

The bigger issue... the outer coating on the chicken is mushy and falling off the chicken, the sauce tastes slightly sweet but no real flavor to it, the chicken under the coating simply taste like it soaked in salt water. FOR ALMOST $8.00 THE NEXT TIME I WANT CHINESE FOOD I WILL JUST GO TO AN ACTUAL RESTAURAUNT WHERE THE FOOD MAY BE EDIBLE AND WAY MORE FOR A SIMILAR PRICE! Florence can be a bit too post-high-school small town, but this store had decent employees until a year or so ago. Then there was the young very rude male who snarled my order through the checkout 1st time he was there and the crabby older woman who told me everyone *loved* him - until another long term employee said, Nope, several other complaints. I guess the young man got a talking to, because he at least acted like a grown up person working in a business after that. But then the two other long term employees started weirding out: the older man started making very inappropriate "funny" (not funny) comments while checking my items through, and the other long term employee started squeezing carts through corner aisles when I happened to be in those places. 1st time, maybe just chance, but 2nd time, in opposite corner, both times coming from across the store: nope. People should be able to just buy groceries and pay for them, without having to deal with whatever bigotries or bad days the employees are having.

The aisles are wider, the shelves are well-stocked, and everything feels thoughtfully arranged. I've always loved shopping here for the unbeatable deals, but now it feels like I'm shopping at a high-end market without the high-end prices! The staff, as always, are friendly, helpful, and quick to greet you with a smile. You can tell a lot of care went into this remodel, and it has completely elevated the shopping experience. We walked in about 20 minutes before closing and were immediately greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. My husband was admiring the huge mixer in the lobby, and the owner brought up a picture on his phone of his wife standing by their even bigger mixer in the back. Super cool. We ended up ordering 4 donuts... chocolate frosted buttermilk bar, maple frosted buttermilk bar, regular old fashioned and chocolate frosted old fashioned. Since we showed up so close to closing, he threw in a couple extra donuts on the house! So nice! All the donuts were super fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
