This store routinely overcharges on sale items, for example if an avocado is on sale for $.99 when you get to the register it rings up as full price, $2.25. This has happened tomy wife and I more times than I can remember. Sometimes we catch it but I'm sure that we don't notice every time. DON'T use Fred Meyer delivery service! Due to the recent health warnings, I decided to have groceries delivered. (Pick-up at the local store, formerly via Click-list, wasn't available for almost a week.) The delivery was on time, but that's about the best I can say. 1. Your order will be fulfilled by an Instacart employee, NOT a Fred Meyer employee. 2. Whomever picked my groceries got multiple items wrong. An off-brand vs. name brand; smaller count package than what was requested; substitutions when I requested none. Pre-packaged salad was brown and disgusting-looking. 3. Don't bother with trying to get any issues resolved with the local Fred Meyer customer service desk. They will just refer you to Instacart, with horribly long hold times. 4. Could not get an itemized receipt of what I ordered. The delivery person said it's online, but the only "receipt" is my grocery list and what SHOULD have been delivered. I have no idea what I was charged for which items. 5. SHOP AT SUPER 1 OR ELSEWHERE. Delivery FAIL at Fred Meyer. read more

Cheapest place in town for almost everything. They have the cheapest groceries...yes, cheaper than Super 1 and Safeway. Selection is not good and they run out of stock easily (i.e. bags of ice on a hot day). I used to work there as a cashier and H-A-T-E-D it!!!! This store is the perfect example of how poor management can destroy a fairly good business. in the last 10 years this store has gotten progressively worse in every way. Today, the shelves were empty, nutrition could have cared less about helping me, and I was furious when I left the store. Corporate office COULD GIVE A CRAP. The worst customer service I've ever experienced! When we were checking out, my partner asked the clerk, KAREN, what the digital TV's one the front walls were about? Simple question right, since we had just moved here and really didn't know. Her response was and I quote, "What do you think they're for? What does it say?" She never answered the question. Fred Meyer happen to be having a sale on canned cinnamon rolls 10/$10. Our son loves them so we bought 10 of the rolls. Her reply after the previous rude comment was "So you like to cheat? I said excuse me? She said your cheating buying these cinnamon rolls, I only make mine from scratch! So you like to cheat?" She is the WORST clerk I've ever had the displeasure of checking out with. I've lived in literally every major city on the west coast from San Diego to LA to San Francisco to Portland and Seattle and have never been treated so poorly! I've shopped at various Freddie's stores throughout Washington and Oregon and this store hands-down is the worst I have ever been in. Horrible customer service, things on sale are never in stock, produce that is wilted and days past looking fresh, so many birds flying over the bakery and bulk section (is that even ok?!), over-charging, and my list could go on but I'm sure you get the point. If you want good customer service and good produce from a grocery store head to Super 1 where they seem to care what running a business takes. read more

Not much to say, it's a Freddy's. Recently remodeled, clean, good employees. Some prices are expensive while others aren't. Always good to check the Sunday paper for the ad, and the store itself for some decent non-coupon deals. Next door to Goodwill, so shop for groceries here and stop over there for some cheap second-hand items. read more

Went on a Monday morning around 10am. Started in produce. No onions, russet potatos, carrots. No Hawaiian bread or 2% milk. I could go on.

Management is awful. Employees are inappropriate and rude. Walmart used to make me feel sick then I went to Fred Meyer.

Not happy at all. Five days ago I lost my phone while at Fred Meyer. We asked customer service if they had it, they said no so we left my moms name and number with a description of the phone. We called if 25 times. I even have my statement to the cops thinking maybe it was stolen! Five days later my sister decides to call it again. Someone answered. IT WAS IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE DRAWER THE WHOLE TIME!!!!! And it wasn't logged in the lost items lost like it was supposed to be! This is bull crap! If you find someone's phone, and they ask about it, YOU GIVE IT BACK!!!! OR YOU AT LEAST CALL WHEN ITA FOUND!! read more

I'm a once-a-week Sunday shopper. That being said, DON'T shop at this Fred Meyer on a Sunday, which happens to be the day after the ads come out. No matter what time of day, there will be bare shelves and they will be under- or out-of-stock. They are consistent on that. Watch the prices, especially on Sunday. The managers don't always change the price after the ad comes out. It's not unusual for the specialty food departments to not know what is on sale that week. I always carry an ad with me. Produce is hit-and-miss. They should be embarrassed to put out some of that stuff. On the positive side, their rewards program is good. I very seldom have to wait behind more than one person. read more

Good selection, good prices, pharmacy is clean, friendly and fairly efficient. realistically I don't expect perfect and from a pracitical standpoint this is as good as it gets in my opinion. read more

I love this Fred Meyer. I have had good luck finding a great variety of items I need here, although typically I just get groceries. My husband (believes he) has a gluten intolerance, and I can find lots of gluten-free products, among other sometimes difficult-to-find products. There aren't usually a lot of screaming children, even though it can be very busy at times. They have a policy apparently where if there is more than one person ahead of you at a checkout line, they open up a new one. There is always some very visible person up front whose main job seems to be overseeing this process, and being available to answer questions for customers. Best of all, they are genuinely helpful and cashiers have always been very friendly to me. I've never run into anyone with an attitude or who seemed miserable working there, and I've been coming here for about 7 months now. :) Kudos! read more

The worst experiences with customer service in my life have occurred in this Fred Meyer. I am a frequent consumer of electronic items, and nearly every time I have attempted to make a purchase, I have been treated incredibly rudely by the employees. Also, on my most recent venture to the store, I went in to purchase an iHome entertainment device. On the display shelf was a blue iHome on sale for 35 dollars marked down from 50. I quickly located a box for one and took it up to the counter. When it was rang up, it registered as 50 dollars. I told the cashier of the sale, and she told me that only the blue version of the product was on sale, but the silver version I was attempting to purchase was still at full price. I reassure you that these two items are the exact same product, and only the color scheme was different. It is this kind of nonsensical rationing paired with the rude customer service that has moved me to the decision to never shop at this Fred Meyer ever again. read more

Fred Meyers is overly expensive and I am sure they communicate with Safeway to keep the prices fixed. It is good for college kids who need a job, but some of the older people who work there are just plain rude. read more
