What's not to like about Costco? -They run the tightest ship in the industry. -They vet their suppliers and hold them to contractual terms. -They offer a no-ask return policy on virtually everything -They offer the highest quality products -They constantly feature the latest new products -Their prices are consistently the best Case in point: I waited for "Black Friday" to purchase an Apple 64Gb 9th-generation iPad from Amazon or Target, or Apple, or Best Buy. The best price I could find on line was $249.99. The same exact iPad was $229.99 at this Costco (that's their everyday price--Costco doesn't offer Black Friday discounts). I would like to point out that Yelp Elite Reviewers rate this Costco as 5-Stars. Reviewers with hurt feelings over adherence to store policies rate this Costco as 1-Star. It pays to read the reviews written by the Yelp Elites, no matter what business you're considering. I have bought my medications, eyeglasses, bulk foods, wine, toiletries...oh yes...pizza and rotisserie chicken here for 20 years. Beware of the food court, don't order from the kiosk anymore. They don't call out your number anymore. So after waiting awhile, someone tells you, you have to get in line, then the order line at the counter can walk up order and get there food all at once. It took away 1 person filling orders from the long line so it took even longer. We had at least 10 of us in line. And I felt like my cart was unsupervised because we can no longer wait at it. read more

Love it. It does not pretend to be anything other than it is. Basic, high volume, often lowest cost, and I've always found employees helpful. Sure there is one or two out there in this large company but not judging the whole biz because of a single event. That's silly. Don't really like the fact that membership keeps climbing but everything is. Like it so much I bought into the company. Figured that their getting my and a lot of other peoples money I might as well share in that side of the biz also. And dividend cover my membership fee as well as the cash savings using the credit card. Only negative thing from that side is that their return policy can be way too loose, accepting stuff that buyers abused, broke or simply were idiots with. Great value and services read more

I bought a Costco card online this month at the Costco Website so that I could take advantage of lower prices. I went to the East Wenatchee, WA Costco to get my card, they took my picture and gave it to me right there in the store. It worked for one day. I found one potential good deal on Orange juice advertised on the sign above the cooler. When I got to the register it cost much more than was advertised, so really I could find better deals at Safeway a block away where they have friendly staff that seem happy to be working there. This Costco is polar opposite. The rules seem to change daily. We were allowed to go into the exit in order to access the membership desk and food court. The next day I went there to get gasoline and my card didn't work so I went in to the exit to talk to the staff at the membership desk there. As a disabled person I try to save steps when possible. The man at the door argued with me and treated me like a criminal for going into that area and said I should go around the long way to get to the membership desk that was right there next to him. I explained that my new card didn't work and I needed to go to membership desk and food court. He finally let me in when I complained that my card wasn't working and it didn't matter as I could not go into the entrance door because my card would not scan. I waited a few minutes but all the membership people were busy with other customers so I went to the food court that is also in that area to order a piece of pizza. Staff member from the door came running at me and said I cannot come in that door as I scanned my credit card to order food! I did not have much time to wait around because I had to be at work in 15 minutes. So back in the line at the membership desk I was waiting next in line then. Someone else came up and they waited on her instead! By this time I was going to be late for work. A person left so I approached the employee at the desk. "Oh. I'm still working with that lady that just walked away" Are you kidding? I said I bought this card, you processed it and handed it to me and it doesn't work now! I have waited too long now my food is getting cold sitting there at the food court, my lunch for work. So she went to another computer and looked it up. She said my membership was cancelled! I did not cancel it. Some kind of problem with their website and she wanted me to pay her again, saying my credit card was NOT charged in error. I asked why they would take my picture and hand me a card anyways if I didn't pay already. She said there was a problem with their website and I am not the only one with this issue. Now after this experience with Costco I will NOT pay them again. The rude people have no idea what customer service is about so why on earth would I want to be a member. We have to pay $65 for the opportunity to shop there as if it's a great deal. It's like there is a dictator minding the door. The prices are cheaper at Safeway a block where they are nice to people. Avoid this place, it's not worth the hassle of the angry workers who "greet you" at the door. What a joke! Other Costco stores I have been to seemed to understand customer service somewhat. Unfriendly to customers who pay for the opportunity to shop there. The pharmacy is the only good thing about this store, they seem to keep everything in stock that other pharmacies have trouble with but it costs more for that convenience, about double for good Rx pricing as compared to Fred Meyer. My Mom recently had shoulder replacement surgery so I have been accompanying her on her errands to help with any lifting. We live in Quincy so our closest Costco is East Wenatchee. I found the store to be well stocked and clean. All of the check-out lanes were open and the cashier that helped us out was named Kurt. Kurt was super efficient and kind to my Mom. I was impressed with his packing skills as he seemed to effortlessly find the perfect spot for each of our items to fit neatly in the two carts we had filled. The large order didn't faze him and my Mom enjoyed chatting about his Uncle's steer. He is definitely an asset to Costco. After putting all the groceries away in the car, I was greeted by a smiling pair of young men who collected our carts without hesitation. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. This store has no professionals. Admin team is ghetto using words like nah and "we dun do Dat he" what does that mean? Incompetent. Stores in spokane do not treat you the way this store treats people. I am livid and will not be renewing because of this. I hope you open your eyes and retrain all the nasty employees. Never again! I'm a local here, got sent here to get a few things for someone who has an account here. In the self check out this young boy named Cesar comes up to me and asks if he can help me to scan items. I was busy looking in my purse for the persons Costco card that sent me to get items for him. So didn't answer at the moment. He then asked again....I finally said ok,sure. He then scanned the Costco card then asked to see the photo on it. He asked if my husband was there shopping with me. ( well he isn't my husband but anyways) I said no I'm just there picking him up some waters. He said, I can't let you continue checking out if the person is not here with you shopping. I said ok? Why is that? He said you need to pay for a membership to continue and tht I can't use other people's cards who aren't with me. I called my person I was shopping for told him and he wasn't too happy. The boy got the manager which was a short older grumpy lady with very short hair and a mean scowl on her face. She came over, i..ediaty grabbed the cart frowned at me and basically said, I can't continue checking out and I was still asking to the guy on the phone that's a member there and she said what she did and took off all grumpy with the cart to put it back. Never again will I step foot into that store that shows very poor customer service Ike that! Talking to me how they did giving me the 3rd degree. Careless, rude,unhelpful,unforgiving,poorest way to show a shopper how to represent East Wenatchee Costco! I will take my business to WIncos. Love Costco for all the big purchases and some of the basics! We just moved to Wenatchee, so it was nice to see that they had Costco and that this locations is well stocked and well maintained. I felt like I could find what I needed in the aisles and there was plenty of friendly staff available to help. Service is great! Just visited Costco tonight. It was an interesting conversation with Justin a store manager. Justin told me it was Costco's policy to in inform shoppers that masks were required but if a customer did not want to wear a mask that was up to them. Washington state, where this Costco is located has a mandatory state wide mask mandate. It's good to know that for Costco the word required has a new meaning. A very un scientific estimate of the amount of people inside this Costco tonight was about thirty percent. It would be interesting to know at what percent of unmasked customers, would be the tipping point where Costco would really "require" masks. The general service, photo and optical are great. The food court lacks service as everyone is just so busy they forget to smile. I'll never forget how I ordered 4 pizzas last year, went to get one thing and checked out and came back and saw my pizzas in the oven and they took them out and gave them to another customer with the same order who had 2 numbers after me because he was huffin and puffin about the wait (which was only 20 min). I was shocked and asked why and the poor girl just told me her manager told her to and she was so sorry. I looked at the manager and he went and hid. (seriously) I guess getting mad will get you ahead of another paying customer here. Unfortunately I don't mind waiting 20 min for 4 pizzas. What I did mind was being late to the party I was bringing the pizzas to. That guy probably got into his car and laughed the whole way home! read more

This review stretches time. I bought my new tires here a couple years ago. Immediately after one new tire was chronically losing air pressure. It took them multiple attempts to correct the issue. At the time I just figure "it happens." Today I had a flat tire due to a screw through the tread. No big deal, Costco will repair for free. I assume like every other place I've bought tires from, a plug will be an in-and-out experience. Fifteen minutes tops. I called to let them know I was on my way. They said it would be "2-3 hours" because they operate off appointments. For a plug? I took it to a local place instead, got right in without a wait, paid $14, and I was pulling out within 5 minutes. I'm going to locally owned small businesses from now on. read more

I have always liked Costco, until now. Problem is I have some friends who work here and they do a wonderful job. Theyt were doing a wonderful job before we knew each other and became friends. However.....total disrespect and denigration from the boy in the tire department. Refused to give the price of the inexpensive tire intending to push this old man into a 65,000-80,000 mile tire for a car with 330,000 miles on it. Had no idea, of course, that I used to work for a tire company. I guess he saw me as an old man and not a twenty-five year customer at Costco. I will no longer honor the tires at Costco, or it's tire people because of this slight to me. I will recommend that no one purchase tires from this place of youth indiscretion and disrespect. read more

Worst customer service experience, ever!!! They should be ashamed!! I came over from Wenatchee, had forgotten my Costco card, so hubby gave me his. Membership is under my name, anyway. Had a months worth of groceries and came to the cashier and the assistant at the cashier was being a total jack-ass, when I told him the costco card was my husbands. I assured him my husband was coming as well to help me carry out. This guy kept on saying "but is he here now!?", when I replied "he is on his way" "probably in parking lot now". There was no effort of helping ONLY effort of stopping me from buying 600$ worth of groceries and trying to make me look like a liar and cheater. Finally, I told him the membership was under name and he reluctanly and with eyerolls went over to confirm through their machine. GEEZ! I want to cancel my membership!!! read more

Costco is my favorite store in Wenatchee. For the most part, all the employees that I have come in contact with are very courteous and knowledgeable. I want to express special kudos to Stan. Twice now he has gone far and beyond to help me make sure that the product that I wanted to buy was going to be perfect for me. Not only was he helpful but he had a great attitude while doing so. He deserves commendation and recognition for his excellent customer service. I too have had issues with the tire department and have chosen never to buy tires from Costco again. Having read the negative reviews, I thought I'd point out that Costco is Costco and people are people where ever one goes. There are larger stores with more options but I only have to drive 30 miles to get to the Wenatchee store; I'm glad I don't have to drive to Kirkland as I did in the beginning...however I do wish I could get out of Costco today having spent only $100.00 as was the case "back in the day". I have shopped Costco in Wenatchee from the beginning and have never been treated poorly by customer service, anyone in the tire shop, any department or anyone on the floor. I bought 4 new tires about 15 years ago and the very next morning while driving on a canal bank in fresh snow, I hit a rock and cut the sidewalls on two tires. I took them back prepared to buy replacements and was told it was a "road hazard". I explained I was off-road...they didn't care and stood behind their own "Costco Signature" brand of tires. They replaced the two tires I destroyed at no charge. Good prices, good selection, excellent return policy and good people in my opinion; what's not to like?
