What's interesting is that I have never experienced more excellent relief from menstrual cramping than I had while doing the last colon hydrotherapy session. Although I had not been aware of this, Robert pointed out that the procedure of Colon Hydrotherapy has been around for 3,500 years and has been used in 7 different civilizations. My point of view is that there's nothing that works any better for relieving menstrual cramping than using this procedure, so I highly recommend that you try it, especially when it's that time for you.

I went 2x/week for 4 months for acupuncture and herbal tea supplement (which I drank twice a day…read morereligiously), all as recommended due to my build up of stress and wanting to get off of anti-depressants. We identified I had a yin deficiency, which I have heard from other practitioners before. I was told I have inflammation from the "heat" from the yin deficiency. All made sense to me. There was no type of improvement that I could see. I was uncomfortable during the acupuncture and was barely relaxed. I've seen other practitioners and did not have this kind of experience. I really wanted to like this practice so it was disappointing. I wanted to commit to doing it for a year, but I just couldn't hold out because I was actively suffering through the acupuncture. (And I'm a fan of it!) What really got me was that Dr. Hou would see me every week and say the exact same things for 4 months. "Tongue getting better." Or "Toenails are still dark red (low oxygen) but getting better." This on repeat for 4 months. There was no visible or internal improvement on my end. I committed completely and took her suggestions. I tried to tell her my concerns, but she had no answers for me. Just that it will take a long time and that my "cells need to grow." If I had a dime for every time I was told my "cells need to grow," here I would be rich. I understand TCM and have no issue with waiting, but the constant "you're getting better" was suspicious. I had a bad feeling about it. I was basically told to wait a year to see improvement, but the repetition felt very "snake oil salesman" to me. Not to mention, the place seems like it hasn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. The tables are uncomfortable. The prices are decent, so if you want to give it a try and see if your issues resolve unlike mine, give it a shot! I saw a lot of great reviews so I really wanted to give it a solid try. But I need to get a second opinion after this experience. I was sketched out and had to trust my gut.

I have suffered…read morefrom adrenal fatigue for more than 12 years and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on all kinds of treatments from various practitioners, including holistic MDs, another naturopath, acupuncturists, and even a hormone doctor. Nothing helped in the long term. Yet I was becoming debilitated by the crushing fatigue, brain fog and muscle weakness that are hallmarks of the problem. This is an ailment that traditional doctors don't even recognize because there's no drug therapy for it, never mind that at least 50%, and likely a far higher percentage, of Americans are suffering from it. I had nearly given up hope when I went to Dr. Hayduk, but her methodical, science-based manner won me over, not to mention her great sense of humor. One of the most helpful aspects of my first visit with her is that she went through all of the supplements I was then taking and explained why they weren't working for me, or worse, might actually be harmful. I've worked in the supplement field and used to attend all the trade shows, so I really questioned her on some of her recommendations. But darned if she wasn't right! I swapped out everything I was taking for what she advised, and in just a few days, I was starting to have more energy, feel more positive. Still, I've had some initial good results before, so I wasn't completely convinced. But now, here it is, almost 3 months since I first saw Dr. Hayduk, and I am much, much improved--almost like a normal, healthy person. In contrast to the doctors who would have me come back multiple times and sell me gobs of high-priced supplements, I've only seen Dr. Hayduk for two visits, and she had me do one large blood workup of some usual and some relatively obscure tests, which she went over in minute detail. The blood work was brilliant: It uncovered an old virus that's been hanging out in my system for years, dragging down my immune system too. That likely explains why adrenal hormones and other typical adrenal repair supplements never worked for me. The other aspect of Dr. Hayduk's treatment that I really appreciate is she tries to use as many edible or drinkable additions to regular diet as possible, as opposed to requiring patients to toss back handfuls of capsules. Furthermore, she gives terrific economical suggestions for supplement sourcing, such as for the adaptogen she wanted me to take. The one she likes is pretty pricey, as most adaptogens are, so she gives the other option of purchasing bulk powders online and encapsulating them yourself. That has saved me a boatload of money, and allowed me to take a larger quantity of an expensive supplement than I might have otherwise. I'm sure the larger quantities are helping. There are many more praiseworthy things I could say about Dr. Hayduk, but you really just need to experience her pinnacle of care for yourself. If you have a longstanding problem for which you have been unable to find lasting help, she will get to the bottom of it. She is truly one of a kind.

I can't begin to say enough positive things about Laura!…read more However, I will start with, she is an amazing, gifted healer! From the moment I met her, she presented herself with a welcoming, kind, compassionate and calming presence. She truly listens and hears what your issues and concerns are! I had been diagnosed with a sprained rotator cuff, which was not only painful and limiting, but draining me of my energy! Although I love my primary care doc, his solution was to put me on heavy duty anti-inflammatory meds, which can be hard on your liver and have side-effects as well! I am not a stranger to acupuncture and was able to get an appt near where I live... I was fortunate enough to be seen by Laura.:) I had recently lost my husband, which Laura took into account with compassion, as well as my injury. I hope I am stating this correctly, but she explained that grieving can also contribute to the injury healing and that you hold grief in the left side of your body... the sprain is in my left side. Laura started with a 'clearing'... which I can only explain as "getting rid of my junk" ... I felt revived when leaving that day! I continued to see her for several more appts. I'm happy to say that my shoulder has improved 100% from when I had my first treatment, as well as other issues I had been having!
