But there seems to be a lot going for it for those living in the area or visiting. There's a community center with a pool, restrooms, water fountain, a trail where you can walk and ride your bike around, a playground, covered picnic areas, accessible parking and a large open space in the center for just about whatever your heart desires. Located in downtown North Bend, it's easily walkable from the businesses and many residential areas around. Nice to know that the city of North Bend has a great community space to go to. I came here to enjoy my takeout and take a break from hiking, and and was happy to have such a large open space to myself. Well, it felt like I had the park to myself even though there were others around. Now I know where to go in North Bend for when I want to relax outside.

This is a little bit of everything: Community Center, Pool, Park, Playground, and much, much more…read more The building is the jewel of the Snoqualmie Valley. Built in the 1930's, it is a former WPA project. Until the early 2000's, it was part of the King County Parks system when it unceremoniously closed in order to save money. Fortunately, local community members banded together and formed King County Metro Parks. Visions were shared, plans were made, Public Bonds were proposed and passed. In the past several years we have seen the property and building transformed. It supports and/or hosts many classes and local events, including Family entertainment (Family Night), a variety of seasonal craft shows, Haunted House, Festival at Mt Si, North Bend Farmer's Market and much, much more. There's a local pool which offers classes, inexpensive swim sessions and rental for parties and events. The Community itself is also available for events. But if you really want to experience it for yourself, come out for the Farmers Market and free concert (featuring local bands and musicians) every Thursday afternoon throughout the summer, OR come to the Festival at Mt Si over the second weekend of August. Disclaimer: I'm not an employee or otherwise affiliated with this in anyway. I'm just an enthusiastic local resident who is thrilled by the transformation and enjoys the tremendous benefits this place provides.

My daughter has taken some classes here so my review is based on our experiences coming here…read more The facility has staff at the door to get you to the right place or take your payment. There is a day use fee but they offer punch cards for regular use. The gym is huge. Has upper seating area. It is 3 basketball courts they place baby gates between for multiple classes. Jazzercise is going on at one end while my daughter has volleyball at the other end. The coach struggles to talk over the music of that other class. It is carpeted as well. They have lots of kid classes available here. And there are some classroom areas, so things like Tai Chi can happen in a less loud environment, but it's not perfect. There is a walking track around the gym upstairs but it costs to walk ....$3. I like this place b/c they offer classes my kids want to try. Younger kids have plenty of sports leagues to enjoy. They have a gym and you can get a good workout here without joining a gym elsewhere. It's nice when the community center is clean and offers a lot. We enjoy utilizing this place. They do not charge extra for non city residents like most of the cities around here.

Summer Concerts in the park here are a win…read more The music has been good so far, each week a different musical genre/band entertains the crowd which is made up of friends ranging in ages from newborns to 90. There's plenty of open space for the kids to run wild, for the adults to deploy their dancing skills and to relax on a Tuesday night with your chosen group. They don't allow you to bring beer or wine which likely keeps people under control, but, removes a certain sophistication from some meals with friends as we try to one up each others culinary whimsy for picnic dinners. I must say that a glass of wine can really up the taste of my food. Highly recommend going at least once this summer for the people watching, the competitive food selections spread out on our blankets and the joy of being outdoors on these gorgeous summer nights.

There are plenty of cars and play areas with big blocks and little play stands and areas for all ages, from first starting to sit up to toddling to enjoy. He really enjoyed watching the other kids and crawling around, discovering neat things to play with. It is a huge space in the community center with a nicely sized parking lot. I don't put my son in day care so it is great to have convenient, indoor, free spaces like this in Seattle. Highly recommended for parents to little ones!

My daughter was too shy and scared to go to the instructor's place because even tho we were only several steps away from her, she ignored us. I could not change another class for her because I was told that it is considered refund and they could not refund me anything. But I would not dare to take my daughter to that cold class again to "try" as the front desk staff recommended us to do it. Perhaps some sort of racism, but it's fine, keep going your way.
