Jay and Andrew were professional, courteous, and very efficient while also paying attention to the little details, like post placement, to ensure the finished porch looked and functioned at its best. There is a reason we have been repeat customers with Care Free Homes and that is due to the quality of work you know you are getting out of every project they do. We could not recommend them enough if you are looking to have quality work done on your house.

We knew the game, add in lots of extras so he can spend hours at your home taking extras out to reduce the price to make it look like you're getting a deal. Even if they had come in with the best price we still would not have used then - if you can't trust the first point of contact to respect what you want then what confidence are you supposed to have with any of their team? Update: Sorry Stephanie but I have to disagree with your response. You are right in that we cancelled the follow up meeting - we were told we would receive a 'report' a couple of days after the initial meet - that didn't materialize so we asked to cancel the follow up and just get the quote. As for the add-ons - my husband SPECIFICALLY said we did not want gutters as ours were not that old - Alex added in new gutters, downspouts, leaf guards - why do that when you have been told we did not want them. It's not that difficult when a customer says 'I just want James Hardie Siding in Deep Ocean Blue and Artic White Trim to replace what we have now - measure it up and quote' - where in that conversation does it say 'but please go away and add in anything else you might like to see on our home? I appreciate as a company you have a system of how you do things with visits etc, however, it is not one size fits all - you still have to listen to the customer, and in this instance, your potential customer was ignored. We gave the exact same brief to 4 separate siding companies, yours was the only one that came back with a proposal that listed several things we specifically said we didn't want, or that were added in unnecessarily. This is an account of our experience with Care Free Homes, so we will have to agree to disgree.

If you're looking for an outfit that can do any job, from building entire houses start to finish,…read moreto simply building you a deck or replacing stairs, Longfellow Design Build is an excellent choice. They have pros in all of the building trades: foundations, HVAC, framing, electrical, plumbing, interior design, specialty kitchens and bathrooms...it an all-inclusive experience and they handle everything. Their name says it all. Design Build. That's what we wanted and that's what they delivered, every step of the way, including permitting with the town, architectural drawings, elevations and blueprints, engineering schematics and plans, and of course all elements of construction both outside and inside. We contracted Longfellow to design and build an entire 2ndfloor for our cottage in the Swifts Beach area of Wareham. They worked closely with us and provided several options for materials, fixtures and appliances, flooring, lighting, etc. They invited us to consult with them at every stage, and they willingly changed some of the plans during construction when we asked for some additional windows and partition walls. No problem. We were so pleased with the end-result of our new upstairs that we had them renovate our downstairs, too. We had them re-shingle our entire home, add new hardwood floors throughout the downstairs, insulate, drywall, and plaster all of our 1st floor walls, replace some windows, and replace all of our downstairs electrical outlets. These folks are fast, too. Honestly...in two days' time they demolished our roof, framed and decked the new 2nd floor, erected all of the outer walls, framed the new roof which included a massive, sturdy LVL beam for the ridge board, and then sheathed and wrapped it all in Tyvek. We were dumbfounded. Their electricians are first rate, and fast. It's the same with every other aspect of their construction, including keeping the yard clean and being courteous to our neighbors. They have several skilled crews and multiple trade masters on their team, with showrooms in Falmouth, Osterville, Sandwich, and Harwich Port. They also construct and remodel homes in the local towns off-Cape, which was the case with us. In short, Longfellow Design Build took our three-season cottage and transformed it into beautiful, comfortable, weather-tight, luxurious, year-round home, AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! We are so glad we entrusted them with our whole-home makeover. They hit a home run for us. Cally Robyn Wareham, Massachusetts

We cracked one such large 36" x 40" unit and neither the OEM dealer network or factory was able to assist us, referring us to local glass companies, several of whom either tried and failed or passed on taking on the project as too difficult. While the 3M plastic sheeting we installed while trying to fix this did work, it looked exactly like it sounds and was not going to be a good long term solution. Enter NEHG who not only accepted the assignment, came back to ensure it was the exact fit (saving us many thousands of dollars in replacement costs for the incumbent) and did so at an extremely cost effective price. Service and support is as equally strong as the final product they reinstalled and they are now in queue for us to do a bathroom mirror replacement project as a result of our confidence in their skills and fair trade approach. Give them your business with confidence and while I hope my review does not create a perfect storm of legacy Pella window owners who might have been looking at their cracked or broken windows and had given up and now will line up for the work, at least know if our project is any such evidence, you are in the best of care having their help.
