I cancelled my Lasik surgery based on the poor customer service and my friend had even gone there. I gave them an extra star because I thought it was nice that they came out to let me know they were running late for my consult. I told the tech that I would be flying the week after my surgery and she said that was fine and we set up all my appointments. I told a couple of my friends and they said that I can't fly that soon after so I called Frantz and the woman who answered also said I can't fly that soon. She said someone would call me back to schedule my surgery. I did not receive a call back so I called over the weekend and left a message letting them know no one had called me back. Someone did call on Monday morning but I missed their call. I quickly called back and the person who called was unavailable and would call me back. I did not get a call back. I called and cancelled and told the woman all the issues I had and how I didn't feel comfortable having surgery at a facility that doesn't return your calls and that gives incorrect information and she said "Ok, we will cancel everything. Call back if you change your mind." HA! I don't think so. read more

Cataracts ssurgery - I will not go there again. i tried several times to cancel and they keep hounding me and no way to get them to send me a note/email saying I canceled. Most importantly - I felt like I was pressured into getting the 10,000 surgery for vision correction. It felt more like I was dealing with a used car sales person than a doctor. I have aetna and was to have a checkup with no charge . They sent me a bill for $45 so I called my insurance company and they said I saw a specialist that referred me to another specialists as he did not know I was having any problems with flashes. If that was the case then I would have asked for a specialist And paid my copay. I still had the pay them $50 as it was past a month while the insurance company and was investigating. I ended up paying online. I didn't want to deal with the billing. Canceling the specialist appointment for Aug 18,2025. Want nothing to do with Frantz. read more

I had a routine exam. They billed my medical instead of my vision insurance. My vision insurance covered everything 100% with no copay, however, in billing my medical, they billed a higher rate and it didn't cover everything. There was nothing medical about the exam- it was a routine, annual exam. I called five times and they refuse to correct their billing. This is fraud. read more

I can't tell you how dis I am with Frantz Eye Care. I had cataract surgery 3 years ago with great result. After my last visit I was assured my balance was $0. Got a bill in the mail the other day for $175. Keep in mind the surgery was 3 years ago. I contacted billing department and they were of no help. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income so this extra cost doesn't make my life any easier. Thanks Dr. Frantz but unfortunately you lost a good customer. Disappointed! The eye doctor was fine and did a great job. However the person in the optical center wouldn't give me the pupillary distance of my prescription unless I purchased glasses there. She told me it was against the law. I don't t know if that's true because I've always gotten it at other places. If there was a 0 stars option, that's what I would give Franz Eye Care. I was scheduled to have cataract surgery on both eyes at Franz in Naples, but canceled the second after unsatisfactory results on the first eye. I expressed my disappointment with his staff during each and every follow up since Dr. Franz was never available to speak with directly. I canceled the appointment with him for surgery on my second eye and rescheduled with Dr. David Tran. So glad I did! What a difference all the way around. Dr Tran is involved in clinical trials and was knowledgeable about the latest in eye care. He was patient, attentive and was there for every appointment, both before and after surgery! I highly recommend Dr. David Tran on Goodlette Frank Road in Naples. read more

I went there for surgery and was disappointed. The Frantz employees who follow up with me are non-medical staff. I am disappointed and ignored. I wrote to them asking for a referral to see if a great clinic could help my eyesight but Frantz EyeCare had an office staffer tell me they would not even do that. read more

I have been waiting over a month for my appointment, only to get there and be turned away because of staff errors. My original appointment had to be rescheduled and since the North Naples office was booked, I agreed to be seen in the Goodlette Road location. I arrived for my appointment and handed the young lad my ID and insurance card. It was at this point, she stated that the Dr. with which I was scheduled does not take my eye insurance (Humana). She then stated I was called to reschedule, which was absolutely false. No one called me to reschedule the Goodlette Road visit. I was then told that the doctor with which I was scheduled is an MD and only takes regular health insurance, at which point I gave them my health insurance card and, after they called someone to verify benefits, they told me I would be covered with a 20% coinsurance. I sat down and began the paperwork. I was then called to the desk again and the young lady let me know that she received a call from another staff member who stated that the medical benefits only apply to Lee Health?? I work for a hospital here in Naples so I don't understand that logic...In any case, I live in Naples, took the time off to be seen today and ended up leaving since no other accommodations were offered. Clearly, I am not riving all the way to Lee County to see a doctor. Something should have been done to accommodate me in the near future, and a manager consulted at the very least. The office is very nice, the technician I initially worked with was very professional and thorough. When I finally reached the Dr. he seemed as if he was in a hurry. I needed to return last Friday afternoon for a contact lens check, upon arrival I was told that the Dr. is sick and I can come back Monday or wait two hours for another eye Dr. It probably would have been most professional to tell me beforehand that my appointment was canceled, it would have saved 40 miles and a couple hours of my time. I am underwhelmed by the whole experience here, I will be finding another provider for future eye care read more

Had cataract surgery with Dr. Frantz. I paid for the upgraded lens and didn't get it. Before the surgery, he came by to say hello and I reminded him that I was getting the upgraded lens. They agreed I did not receive it and offered to do a laser surgery on my eyeball to reshape it. But when they described the procedure and after effects, it sounded really scary to me. I didn't feel that I could trust them to do the correct thing since they couldn't even put the correct lens in my eye. My husband, deceased MD, said it was cleary malpractice and they should at least give me my money back (pd up front). I called business office and requested my refund but after two years have not received it. I would not recommend Dr. Frantz and his associates. read more

Was unable to answer any of my questions and was not helpful at all. Second visit today 4/19/23. Dr. Obrien's MA announced that I needed a contact lenses measurements. I drove a relative here for a check up with her glaucoma doctor. Very nice office and staff. Only issue was her appointment was at 2 and it's now 4:40 and she just got called back to see the doctor. They close at 5! I've watched people who arrived later than us leave before us. I'm watching staff leave for the day and we haven't even completed our visit. They had 3 docs in today. I understand if the issue is due to being short staffed, I'm in the medical field as well, times are tough. Two hours and 40 minute wait time is excessive. read more

Dr Robin and his team made me feel so comfortable during my procedure. I looked at over 4 different Lasik centers before choosing Frantz. I asked around SWFL where people went as well. I really thought Franz would be the place to go for contact lenses. I have been wearing glasses about 10 years and desperately wanted contacts. When I was having trouble with the first pair I returned to the office looking for help using them. The doctors solution was to change the prescription instead of trying to get used to them . The second prescription did not work and I was told there wasn't any other choices...I was dismissed. I am now due for a checkup and I have many choices. read more

My wife has had 4 eye surgeries from Dr. Corant and he is great. We are in the Naples office so much we should live there. The office manager Carol Luepkeyer may be OK with the employees there but is terrible with the patients. If you try to explain a staff problem to her she will cut you off and also not listen as she has made up her mind without hearing what the problem is all about. I was speaking quietly with her and she almost told me to get out of the office and refused to listen to my complaint. My wife only has one good eye and had surgery yesterday and I told the tech. Briana that I wanted the Doctor to do the eye pressure test and she was persistent that we had to see her first and that it would be done her way. I told her that my wife only had one eye and I did not want her to do the test only the doctor. she brought in the manager Carol Luepkeyer and she immediately told me not to be rude to her employee I tried to explain the problem but she would not listen. The advertised specialty of cataract surgery was performed by the Frantz organization. Dr. Frantz himself is the "lens man" and seen only 5 to 10 minutes in the initial office visit and pre-op to each eye. If more questions another staff member is seen. Great doc in spite of the TV ads. You have to wait while eyes dilate but staff is nice and office clean. If they would just shut off Fox News on TV so you don't have to stand in the hall to get away from the stupidity it would be great If its on next time I will switch Docs. read more
