I told the tech that I would be flying the week after my surgery and she said that was fine and we set up all my appointments. I told a couple of my friends and they said that I can't fly that soon after so I called Frantz and the woman who answered also said I can't fly that soon. She said someone would call me back to schedule my surgery. I did not receive a call back so I called over the weekend and left a message letting them know no one had called me back. Someone did call on Monday morning but I missed their call. I quickly called back and the person who called was unavailable and would call me back. I did not get a call back. I called and cancelled and told the woman all the issues I had and how I didn't feel comfortable having surgery at a facility that doesn't return your calls and that gives incorrect information and she said "Ok, we will cancel everything. Call back if you change your mind." HA! I don't think so.

I am so disappointed with BP. I have a number of eye issues and, because of its reputation,…read morethought it would be a good match. After going there 4 years I have decided it is not. The final straw was having horrible reactions after eye injections at BP. I was miserable for almost 24 hrs after each one. Getting subsequent injections from my retinologist in Louisville with NO negative reaction I discovered that the only difference in the prep was BP uses Betadine after the injection, Louisville does not. Louisville does not experience a higher infection rate than considered normal. When I requested no Betadine after the injection at BP, I was told no. She said she had been doing it this way for 20 years and it's BP's procedure. Clearly patient comfort, without compromising safety, is not a priority. Plus, good luck trying to get an erroneous bill removed from an account. I tried 4 times with the accounting department and with collections. All said it appeared to be an error yet it still shows up as an outstanding bill. Definitely time for me to go else where.

I believe I didn't listen to his initial timeframe. My follow-up visit was significantly more efficient than my initial visit. This practice operates on a one-person basis. I am astounded by the doctor's ability to maintain order and efficiency. The staff in the back of the practice exhibits a high level of professionalism, while I cannot say the same about the staff in the front.

I was quoted around $250. When I arrived, I was charged over $450. The trial contact lenses they gave me didn't work. I came back for a second appointment, and they still got it wrong. I went back a third time, practically begging them to get it right, and it was even worse. Between waiting for available appointments and going back and forth, this whole process took more than 2 months. During that time, I suffered constant headaches trying to adjust my eyes to lenses that weren't the right prescription. It even affected my safety: I nearly had an accident while driving at night because I couldn't see properly. What frustrated me most was how I was treated. Every time I explained what I was experiencing, Dr. Paul M. Rougraff and some of his nurses basically ignored me and told me what I was saying didn't make sense. Their attitude was dismissive and rude. The only exception was the front desk staff, who were kind. I gave up and went to Costco instead. They got my prescription right the first time, for about a third of what I paid here. I'm finally happy with my vision. Save yourself the money, the time, and the frustration. Go somewhere else.

He was very descriptive of how the procedure was going to go at the pre-op appointment and then went back over it again on the day of surgery. He gave me his phone number for any questions I may have and was actually pretty responsive. The eye drops that were prescribed at my normal pharmacy were put on back order, so his staff had them sent to a pharmacy they knew had it. Minutes after the surgery, I cried because I could actually read the road signs! I haven't been able to do that without glasses or contacts since I was 10. My post-op appointment today was amazing! My results are phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for better! I am so so happy. Dr. Robin and his staff literally just made my quality of life so much better. Forever grateful!

In addition to my growing cataract problem, my vision had steadily declined over 45 years periodically requiring stronger and stronger lenses. (Suddenly, at age 40, I couldn't read a newspaper.) While I don't recall who suggested Fisher Eye, it was only good luck that I wound up with Dr. Vaziri who suggested that my cataract removal could include a lens replacement that would eliminate my having to wear any glasses at all. Apparently, a fairly recent development in artificial lenses that would focus far, near, and in between was becoming routine and would work for me, even at my ripe old age of 85. Wow, I'm now, completely glasses free with 20/20 vision! Thank you, Dr. Vaziri. The procedure is not inexpensive, but, in my estimation worth it. No hassle, no pain, only gain.
