When you walk in you're greeted by the front desk, the ladies up front are kind and intelligent. Dr. Sagona guided me through the process of an eye exam and was easy to talk to. She has a good demeanor that makes you feel comfortable. Her husband Sam is the one who helps you choose out your actual glasses and he knows all about lenses and frames. I was so upset when I arrived and found them closed. $702.00 and I have no classes! I called and they gave me the manager, Chris from the Fort Meyers office, he was very combative, rude and an awful person to talk to. I asked to have someone to meet me there to get me the glasses. He said I am in Fort Meyers and we will not. I asked how come the office won't have simply mentioned to me be here before Friday because we are closed on Fridays. Chris keep talking over me and telling me he could mail the glasses to me, being mean and not thoughtful at all. I've been to other doctors with filthy equipment. Made me think twice before placing my face next to them. The machines at Dr. Andersen are clean and are wiped clean before and after every test. Also the wait time is non existent as they don't overbook. They also have a decent selection of eyewear though I didn't find the sunglasses I wanted from their selection. I told the tech that I would be flying the week after my surgery and she said that was fine and we set up all my appointments. I told a couple of my friends and they said that I can't fly that soon after so I called Frantz and the woman who answered also said I can't fly that soon. She said someone would call me back to schedule my surgery. I did not receive a call back so I called over the weekend and left a message letting them know no one had called me back. Someone did call on Monday morning but I missed their call. I quickly called back and the person who called was unavailable and would call me back. I did not get a call back. I went in with a specific eye issue I am experiencing and after spending 25 minutes with me, he stopped the eye examination and very politely informed me that he could not treat me for the issue I had and did not want to continue on with the exam and waste my time (which was after going through some eye tests and determining what my exact problem was). He was also beyond generous to not charge my insurance for the appointment, even though I took up his very valuable time. He even referred me to a specialist that can properly treat / monitor my condition. I have had bad experiences in the past with doctors, dentists, etc that "treat" you for something just so they can get paid. It is very rare to find someone in this field that you can trust, that is truly honest and looking out for your best interests and Dr. Gresham definitely has these qualities. You can tell he cares about his patients and their well-being and that is personally all I can ever ask for in a doctor. Although he couldn't help me today with my issue, I will not only be back for my annual eye exams but referring family members / friends as well.
