I called V O and asked them to call the company that made them, Essilor, to see if they would replace the faulty product and was told that Essilor would not replace the faulty lenses. V. O. said that the company had had issues with some lamination combinations. BUYER BEWARE of lenses made by Essilor . i'M OUT $1,000 AND NO GLASSES.

After asking a couple of questions - when the last time was that I had my eyes checked, were the lens in my existing glasses the current prescription, etc.--they agreed that they could read the prescription off my existing lens and make up a new set of glasses. I agreed and they said that they'd have my new glasses ready early the next week. They called two days later and said that my new glasses were ready; I picked them up Friday -- what a quick turnaround! Nice that they accepted walk-ins. Very friendly and efficient staff. Dr Sagona's report from September 26, 2023 does not have a report like the others I received, it has hand written notes which state " I can feel right lens on cornea after two hours get blurry, thinks it's touching the cornea  . Hit two hours." There is also hand written note on the bottom to "re-order O D only with the prescription."Keep both lenses in office. Patient left wearing own scleral lenses ". Dr.Sagona failed  to mention what day I picked those Sinergy scleral lenses up from Samantha and that I was instructed to wear them in to my appointment so she can see how the scleral lenses are in my eyes , which made sense. She also forgot to document that I told her I wore them for 4 1/2 hours two days previously to our scheduled appointment on a certain date and my eyes became very irritated, and that is why I knew I could only wear them for about 2 1/2 hours for the appointment on certain date. On October 3, 2023 report is injury of conjunctiva and corneal abrasion and on October 10, 2023 it is documented again for conjunctival hyperemia right eye in October 3, 2023 notes. Documented on October 12, 2023 and October 13, 2023 notes show my eyes progressively worsen.  I keep meticulous notes of dates, times and what transpired during our interactions.   Any person can read these notes and see it was caused by the scleral lens fitting, causing major irritation in both of my eyes.  You have not spoken to me since you referred me to Dr. Ginsberg nor did anyone or yourself from your office call to see how I was doing while under your care, you're basing it on Dr Ginsberg's diagnosis of a new CPAP with a question mark ?  That is my fault because when he asked me "do you use a CPAP machine, I responded yes, I just got a new one". I should have been more specific and told him I just got a new replacement for my old CPAP machine which was eight years old and is documented with the 911 World Trade Center health program First Responders under the James Zadroga Act of 2010 but I did not think we were looking for causes of my eye problem , I thought we knew. Sam, your husband and co owner who is not an optometrist or ophthalmologist has been talking to me and responding to e mails in regards and I appreciate it because at least someone is.  I acknowledge that my situation is unique, but I believe I should have been informed during my initial visit that I would be better served by another Doctor who could prescribe the same lenses that have previously worked for me. With that said, I believe that the abrasions were a result of the ill-fitting lenses, which left me unable to perform daily tasks for over four weeks. I couldn't drive, buy groceries, or even keep the lights on in my home. I supplied you with my last scleral lens prescription but was not advised until after the examination was complete that you were not able to prescribe Essilor scleral lens to me. IF YOU NEED CONTACT LENSES PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE !!! I know they will not care to respond because of the HIPAA catch all which works in their favor !

I then inquired to see if they by chance would be done in time for my vacation, the receptionist was kind and said I will find out and let you know. She called me right back and left a message they would be there that day or the next day. GREAT I thought. I worked on Thursday. I didn't realize that the office was closed on Friday and nor was anything mentioned as it would have been pertinent to picking them up Before Friday. I was so upset when I arrived and found them closed. $702.00 and I have no classes! I called and they gave me the manager, Chris from the Fort Meyers office, he was very combative, rude and an awful person to talk to. I asked to have someone to meet me there to get me the glasses. He said I am in Fort Meyers and we will not. I asked how come the office won't have simply mentioned to me be here before Friday because we are closed on Fridays. Chris keep talking over me and telling me he could mail the glasses to me, being mean and not thoughtful at all. Like mailing they to me would help my situation, it was just awful, I work retail and I have never said such rotten things to a customer. I've been to other doctors with filthy equipment. Made me think twice before placing my face next to them. The machines at Dr. Andersen are clean and are wiped clean before and after every test. Also the wait time is non existent as they don't overbook. They also have a decent selection of eyewear though I didn't find the sunglasses I wanted from their selection. I told the tech that I would be flying the week after my surgery and she said that was fine and we set up all my appointments. I told a couple of my friends and they said that I can't fly that soon after so I called Frantz and the woman who answered also said I can't fly that soon. She said someone would call me back to schedule my surgery. I did not receive a call back so I called over the weekend and left a message letting them know no one had called me back. Someone did call on Monday morning but I missed their call. I quickly called back and the person who called was unavailable and would call me back. I did not get a call back. I called and cancelled and told the woman all the issues I had and how I didn't feel comfortable having surgery at a facility that doesn't return your calls and that gives incorrect information and she said "Ok, we will cancel everything. I went in with a specific eye issue I am experiencing and after spending 25 minutes with me, he stopped the eye examination and very politely informed me that he could not treat me for the issue I had and did not want to continue on with the exam and waste my time (which was after going through some eye tests and determining what my exact problem was). He was also beyond generous to not charge my insurance for the appointment, even though I took up his very valuable time. He even referred me to a specialist that can properly treat / monitor my condition. I have had bad experiences in the past with doctors, dentists, etc that "treat" you for something just so they can get paid. It is very rare to find someone in this field that you can trust, that is truly honest and looking out for your best interests and Dr. Gresham definitely has these qualities. You can tell he cares about his patients and their well-being and that is personally all I can ever ask for in a doctor. Although he couldn't help me today with my issue, I will not only be back for my annual eye exams but referring family members / friends as well.

He arrived 15 minutes early they were efficient and we were in and out in half and hour. This eye group has 4 doctors. They have newer equipment for the eye test and people seemed happy. Fairly nice waiting room furniture comfy chairs plenty out front. Parking is close by up front. The office is willing to bill your insurance as a courtesey plus they are aware that after a eye test they offer the funky sunshield, after you get dialated so you don't get blinded when you get on the road. Since I'm an old fart now m1y eyes are starting to improve and they have been stabile for the last 7 years. yeah!
