Mmmmm... The supreme pizza was great!

What great find! Franks corner kitchen has some really great bar food and the pizza was really great! The loaded fries as an appetizer were pretty delicious too! I think the best part is the staff. The girl running the bar and serving is FANTASTIC and made us feel right at home in a decent size crowd for a Sunday. We will definitely be back!

Everything here is delicious. I've tried everything on the menu. The corner fries are probably my favorite.

Some of the best burgers around! His pizza is very good as well. Great service. Cash only but has an ATM machine on site.

Nice place for a good meal or just drinks. Lots of variety in the menu and is all good. Like to stop in whenever in the area.

Old 50 Cafe - Breakfast horseshoe

If you like a good old fashioned breakfast diner experience, then the Old 50 Cafe is your spot…read more We're talking big portions, hearty menu items (not a microgreen in sight), and constant coffee cup refills. Yes, please. On my visit here, I ordered the breakfast horseshoe, which is a menu item I noticed on multiple menus in Southern Illinois but haven't ever seen it elsewhere. Apparently, it's a variation of a classic horseshoe sandwich that originated in Springfield, Illinois. Anyway, my breakfast consisted of a bed of hashbrowns, topped with biscuits, two breakfast sausage patties, all smothered in gravy and topped with two eggs your way (I got them scrambled). It was a gravy drenched delight. The kind of breakfast that will have you saying things like 'whew! That really sticks to your ribs' and 'my tummy is so happy right now.' No? Just me, then? The service was kind and attentive (our coffee cups were kept delightfully full) and the prices are super reasonable. Get to it!

Not great, not bad. We were looking for a quick lunch and settled on this place…read more I'm from out of town but this looked vaguely diner-esque so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's an older place that has been several bars/restaurants before settling into "Old 50" - a name that doesn't exactly make my mouth water. Inside it has plenty of room. There's one room to your right as you enter but up on the left you turn into their main room - there's a bar there that isn't really in use! That's a shame too cause it looks real nice! A little polishing and some decoration and it would make a nice focal point! We sat in a booth. Got soup with our meals to start. Kind of a heavily salted vegetable soup but it was all right. I had the turkey club. I've had better. Could have used more mayo, turkey was a little dry. Fries were all right. My wife had the open faced turkey sandwich - the gravy greatly helped that dry and somewhat bland turkey. I want to like it more, but the food - I don't know. It has a large diner style menu so, if I'm in the area I'd be happy to try it again. These older style americana diner-ish places need to be kept around, even if they need a little improvement.
