FINALLY Zach and I made it out onto Lake Belton! We tried last year and Frank's was doing some maintenance on the bobcats and then we just didn't get around to it. So we showed up today a casual 10 minutes late. I'm always stressed about being late and they were very cool with it which immediately relaxed me. I think the marina itself could use more signage as we didn't see where to go to check in and had to be directed by someone else on the dock. We find our way, one of the employees said she was going to check that our bobcat was working (really appreciate that, always want to know it works) and we checked in inside. Without prompting, they recommend some cool areas of the lake to check out. This was excellent and I loved it. Zach was driving, so I was thriving, and they had wine on sale for 20% off, so they twisted my arm and I ended up with some delicious, cheap, plastic, single-serving bottles of wine. They were very patient with my nerves as we got loaded onto the boat and I tried not to lose all of my items. I really misinterpreted the size of the boat and, as I always do, overpacked. We did not need towels, we did not really need ... anything .... except maybe the wine. They gave us a great overview of how to steer the bobcat, cuz it was a little different than what we are used to with big boy boats, and we were off! We had a great time, we made it back alive, we signed a paper saying we were alive and had returned their bobcat, and they surprised us by saying bobcat rentals no longer have to pay for gas. We did not argue and hippity hopped it out of there. They made it so easy, the price is reasonable, they seem to have pretty open availability, and you can rent by the 1/2 hour. I can see us having a date night where we grab some dinner at Deadfish and then take a bobcat out for an hour to watch the sunset from the lake. This is my life now? No complaints. read more

The place is a total disaster. They have been working on a massive renovation for months and there is no end in sight. Multiple boat docks (with slips that people pay for monthly) are unusable. They can't seem to keep employees, the staff and even the management quit on a regular basis. You can still rent a kayak or a canoe, but stay far away if you have a boat that you want to park on the lake. read more

Rented some kayaks , for a group of 4 . We got the double kayaks . The price for the hours to be on the kayaks & the rental price were awesome. My family & I had a great time ! Would come back here ! Next time I'm going to a rent a boat & try out the paddle boats . read more

Let me start out by saying I frequently go to Frank's on the weekends for a relaxing day on the water. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is soooo chill. I was especially impressed with the service today because as soon as we went out on the water it started to storm and we had to turn around! Funnily, the staff didn't see us turn around and spent over 20 min looking for us on the water while we sat and waited at the marina to get our stuff. When they got back we had a great laugh and they offered us to come back for free the next chance we got. Goooood stuff! Lol read more

My family and I rented a boat a few weeks ago for a day on the water and were really surprised at the condition of the boat based on the amount of money it costs to rent. The issues were the cleanliness of the vessel. I brought Clorox wipes with us to wipe down the boat before we took off, but I couldn't even do so because the grime and dirt was SO thick and caked on. (Specifically on the table that comes on the boat) I could not believe the conditions being that we paid hundreds of dollars for a few hours. (Comparable to that of bigger cities) We've spent a day on a boat before in Destin, Florida and the boat was in tip top condition. You could tell the staff cleaned all the time. Franks Marina pontoon boat was so dirty I couldn't even clean it myself AND we could not enjoy ourselves the way we wanted. We packed a picnic as we usually do when we go out for the day and could not even enjoy the food for the lack of cleanliness. It was absolutely disgusting. We literally sat down in one spot and did not move because of the filth! Not to mention there was trash on the boat floor as well. ALL OF THIS AND WE HAD A RESERVATION FROM THE DAY BEFORE! That's even more of a slap in the face! The staff was nice and I didn't have an issue with the transaction at all other than not being satisfied with the quality of product. The one thing that stood out that was positive was the sound system. It had a very nice sound system imbedded that I wish I could have enjoyed more. I feel like the money was a complete waste and I don't plan on going back or recommending to anyone. I could have driven a little further to Austin and gotten a better boat condition. I can't believe they rented to me this way. I can understand that the boats sit outside and a little dust may be an issue, but this was on another level and we have done business with other companies elsewhere where this wasn't a problem! Before we even started the boat, the staff member had to wipe away a cob web with his hand on the steering wheel. We really try to be patrons of small/local businesses, but lack of customer service/quality make it hard. Side note: A day before Presidents' Day I was driving around and discovered this place rents boats. I had been looking for a business close to home! The guy assured me that even though they are normally closed on Mondays, they would be open for me to go out on a boat on Presidents Day if I came in. He told me to just call before coming...which I did not get an answer when I called and did not want to drive all the way out there for them to be closed! We made plans to bring friends and we planned a picnic only for it to not happen. That was our first let down with this company. I needed to do some trailer repair and needed a place to put my boat while I did the repairs. I called Frank's and they were very accommodating. They allowed me to put my boat in a temp slip for a bit, free of charge. Then when I came back to get my boat I realized the battery died because I left the blower on. They pulled out a jump box and got me started and on my way. Great guys running this place, now I'm considering getting on the list for a slip. read more

Alright, not sure where to start, but this place is great. Long story short, my bot broke down and I ran into a string of bad luck between the boat and the trailer. These guys were so helpful, making sure my boat was ok during the crap weather, the marina manager himself towed the boat to the boat ramp for me during awful weather to help me get it out and on the trailer. The staff is a bunch of good folks that are friendly and make you feel at home at the marina. Anywhere around Fort Hood is tough to find good customer service, but you don't even have to look for it at Franks, the professional management and general good demeanor there makes it an easy place to keep going back to. I've called them 4 times now to rent a boat for the weekend and for the 4th time they've told me their gonna call me back......and no call. They have 3 boats to rent how hard is it to figure out if ones open or not. read more

Took our deposit to the bank and wouldn't call us back. Use honest companies. I called them to schedule a rental over the phone because I didn't want to pay a deposit if we got rained out. Mitzi told me that the deposit does not tie us to our time in case of inclement weather. Sure enough we got rained out. Mitzi told us initially that we could not get our money back, but they would reschedule. Then we were told that they WOULD give us a refund and were working on it. After 6 weeks of no refund and no updates, they finally just told us that they went back to no refund and we can deal with it. They took our money and said goodbye once they had it. Dishonest business. Ruined what was supposed to be a fun family get together. read more
