The day of comes, and I have not yet heard anything or received any link. I called and they informed me that I would have to come in person for a consult.. I do not live anywhere near Scottsdale... this is exactly why I asked for virtual and confirmed it was okay multiple times.. I already paid so I went back and forth to schedule a travel day that would work but they only do consults on Tues/Fri. After scheduling the forced in-person consult, every reminder I got states "your virtual consultation is coming up!" ... what do you mean... I just cleared my schedule to travel because virtual was not an option? Anyway, the in-person consult was very uncomfortable and Dr. Holden made some inappropriate comments regarding how attractive I am and my sexuality. That feeling alone made me certain I would not be booking a surgery with him & I would not feel comfortable being under anesthesia with him. The poor office organization and the uneasy feeling is the reason I went with another surgeon.

I should have listened to my gut because since then dealing with this office has been a NIGHTMARE. From scheduling issues, to having to do the leg work to secure an anesthetist, being sent to another surgeon at a totally different office, to ending up being told I can't have the surgery upon arrival the morning of because I followed the wrong directions of which the office provided. I have missed days of work, have taken unnecessary prescriptions and am out money + time I'll never get back. DO NOT GO HERE.

It didn't feel like a real medical practice. And it felt like the medical staff had to "deal" with my after the initial sales pitch. There was a 2 page print out for post & pre-op care. It was very shoddy. And I had to pick up and take my own drugs to knock myself out prior to the procedure. That was the wackiest part. If I asked questions or raised suspicions about any steps, of course I was made to feel like I was stupid or not getting something that was very simple. It all makes sense now why they were acting like this. I was scammed. The procedure was fully covered by my insurance, however I still feel sick by the fact that I was taken advantage of by Dr. Stewart. They do. Booked the appt. Found out 2 days before my Valley ENT appt that my insurance approved it after all, but I was already scheduled to see Dr. Kelsch @ Valley ENT so I kept the appt. I explained that I already had a scope and sinus ENT 2 weeks prior but they said they needed their own. Fine. But then when we were ready to discuss the 2 options, Dr. Kelsch left the room and returned with 1 pamphlet for each (not super helpful when you want to know deeper, and pros and cons). He stood in the doorway, one foot and his body halfway out, and apparently my appt was over with no oppty for education or Q&A. WTH? Fine, so I asked the out-nurse about the procedures. She looked at me funny. I told her I didn't get education or Q&A from Dr. Kelsch and she said that was very strange. Ok, sounds he normally does, but did not for me. A few days later I left a VM asking for websites Dr. Kelsch recommended for self-education, and an oppty for a phone call Q&A with him. No reply. Fine, maybe VM not working. CALLED AGAIN, talked to a medical assistant, explained what I needed. Three weeks later, STILL NO REPLY. Fine, I'm already approved at the other ENT so I'M GOING BACK THERE. I think I've given AZ Valley ENT the benefit of the doubt enough times. I initially chose to call them since the reviews were good on my insurer's portal but seeing the reviews here, I realize that I should have also checked Google reviews. I have to write this because I had an unpleasant experience few months ago…read more My right ear was hurting from flying Paris-Phoenix in mid July and as soon as I landed in phoenix I called the office to make an appointment. I didn't get to see Dr. Weiner until mid August, you know how it is that you can't get in right away. By the time I went to see Dr. Weiner, my ear was already fine. He checked my both ears anyway and he said that my right ear had wax, so he did the cerumen removal. Everything went well, so I was happy with the service. Prior to the cerumen removal, I was ordered to get hearing test. I told the hearing lady that my hearing was fine and I didn't need a hearing test, but she insisted and made me to sign the paperwork. I asked her multiple times that the insurance will cover for the test and she said yes! On the following month I received bill from this office with amount of $120.45. I called the billing company and she said yes I had to pay that amount after insurance deductible. In the statement description also they charged me $221 for a new patient. I was like really! I wasn't new because I came to this office for wax removal before.Plus I never heard doctors will charge for the new patients, where was that come from. Dr. Weiner was a wonderful ENT, but unfortunately the management was very poor. So disappointing.

Dr Weiner picked up my nervousness immediately and the first thing he did was cracked a pretty funny joke, which immediately took the tension off. It was perfect! The surgery was completed in no-time, a few days for recovery and I can tell you wonderful it is to actually breathe through both nostrils at the same time and to have a better sense of smell again. Very pleased with the outcome. You never feel Dr Weiner is rushing things during office visits. He is completely present for you and your questions. He is just a pleasant doctor and good-hearted person to talk to. He cares.

It was often not easy and…read morerequired a lot of patience for the exhorbitant wait times, the multiple phone calls required to actually get the care that my doctor thought I should have and it required a level of micromanagement that I don't ever care to do again. I did these things because I had a great relationship with Dr. Erdos. He is kind, supportive, thorough and listened to all of my feedback about my care and the runnings of the practice. He was a fabulous partner is diagnosing and helping me manage a complex immune disease. At one point, he put me in contact with the CEO so I could help her troubleshoot where things were going wrong with patient communication. This year, things went even more downhill. I stopped getting calls back. Out of six phone calls, ONE was returned. I left multiple messages to get them to send the prescription that I needed. I left multiple phone calls about the patient portal that was broken and never heard from anyone. After I decided to seek care elsewhere, they contacted me to see how I was tolerating the new medication! The medication that they never sent in! And the person who called me referenced a note from a doctor that I do not and have never seen. I physically went there to get a copy of the prescription and then magically, the pharmacy received it! All of this further validated my decision to leave. I shouldn't have to work this hard. Neither should you.

There is no way to reach a person at this office because all phone calls are routed through an automated system with extremely long wait times. The nurses are doing the best they can with the very limited resources that are allocated to patient care. I can only assume that the doctors who manage the practice pay themselves well. I have no doubts as to the competence of Dr Erdos but the way the office is managed could be improved.
