This review is for TOCA which operates inside D-Bat…read more Our family has had a mixed experience at TOCA Marietta. When we first joined, sessions started right on the hour and ran smoothly. Over time, though, the start times have drifted -- sometimes beginning 10-15 minutes late and wrapping up early before the next session. It's frustrating not knowing when the actual instruction time begins or ends. Another issue is the inconsistency with the coaching. The coaches seem to rotate frequently, and there doesn't appear to be a clear, consistent curriculum from week to week. Some coaches focus more on warm-ups and running than on skill development, while others (like Odell and Ronaldo) do an excellent job teaching technique and engaging the kids. Unfortunately, we haven't seen them in a while, and switching days hasn't helped us find them again. We've also noticed that while the club doesn't require cleats or shin guards, several kids wear them, which gives them an advantage during drills and scrimmages. It would be helpful if TOCA clarified equipment expectations so all players can participate on an even playing field. Overall, TOCA Marietta has potential -- especially when led by strong coaches -- but the inconsistency in scheduling, coaching style, and structure has made our experience uneven. With more stability and clearer communication, this could be a great program.

This one does seem to be a little busier than the Perimeter location though, so keep in mind you may have to share the batting cages or have to wait on someone if they aren't open to sharing.

I've passed by this place a million times but when out little one started playing soccer here, I finally had an opportunity to check it out. There is an area for batting practice as well as an indoor soccer field. Nothin too fancy about this place but I do appreciate that there are plenty of bleachers available to sit and watch as well as bathrooms available. This place is pretty clean and the staff are helpful if you need anything.

This past weekend, I hosted a family field day and kickball event at your facility. Overall, the…read morestaff members we encountered were courteous and accommodating, which we genuinely appreciated. However, our experience with the manager/owner, Shon, introduced an element of discomfort that cannot be overlooked. In preparation for this event, I visited the location on multiple occasions and had not previously encountered him. His presence and demeanor on the day of our gathering felt noticeably reactive, particularly once it became apparent that our group--comprised of approximately 40 to 50 Black attendees--was utilizing the space. This created an impression that our presence was, in some way, unexpected or unwelcome. Additionally, there was inconsistency and lack of clarity regarding your policies. We were initially informed that external speakers were not permitted. Afterward, we were told we could only utilize the facility's radio system. When we requested a station change to better suit the tone of our private event, the response involved internal deliberation and hesitation. When Shon eventually addressed us, his explanation--though carefully worded--suggested an underlying reluctance to allow what he indirectly referred to as "urban" music. While he attempted to frame this in consideration of "families" and "Christian patrons," the implication was both unnecessary and, frankly, offensive. It is important to emphasize that this was a paid, private event. As such, it is reasonable to expect that the environment would be tailored to the preferences of the hosting party, rather than hypothetical or intermittent walk-in guests. The repeated presence of management circling our group, observing, and intermittently interjecting added to an atmosphere that felt less like hospitality and more like scrutiny. While we remained focused on enjoying the occasion we planned and paid for, the overall experience was undeniably impacted by what felt like biased assumptions and differential treatment. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable and, quite honestly, disrespected. I trust this feedback will be taken seriously and used to reassess how guests--regardless of background--are engaged and accommodated moving forward.

While it may seem like there's "not much to review" when it comes to gyms, I genuinely believe not all gyms are the same. Onelife clearly takes pride in their space. The facility is clean, the machines are well-maintained and up to date, and they pay attention to the little details (which I definitely notice). The personal training rates are also very reasonable, and overall, the vibe is exactly what I look for in a gym. You can tell most people are there to actually work out--not just hang around, socialize, or hold up equipment. I really appreciate being in an environment where people are focused, respectful, and using the gym for what it's meant for. If you're looking for a gym that feels welcoming, well-run, and truly built for people who want to move and improve, Onelife Fitness Perimeter is it. I'd also like to give a shout out to the general manager Kamera, she is an absolute ray of sunshine.

Lots of cardio machines on both floors and a designated stretching area and cross fit section. They sell protein shakes, energy drinks and snacks. They also offer amenities like massage chairs and saunas. This location does not have a pool. Only comment I can add is the guy working at the reception can be a little more lively. Just gave off the vibe he didn't want to be there.

One thing I've noticed is that the facility is constantly undergoing renovations. Since the beginning of this year, they have renovated the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and men's locker room, and now the women's locker room is being updated as well. While it's good to see continuous improvements, the ongoing construction can sometimes feel inconvenient and is a reminder that the facility is aging. My experiences with the staff have been mixed. Some employees are friendly and helpful, while others come across as less welcoming. One incident in particular left a disappointing impression. I accidentally left my phone at the Life Cafe table and realized it after I had already left the gym. When I returned, a young staff member asked to see my membership card. I explained that my membership information was on the phone I had left inside, but despite the obvious situation, he refused to let me enter without an ID. Even after explaining multiple times that I was simply trying to retrieve my phone, he continued insisting on identification. It felt like common sense and flexibility were missing in that moment. Another concern is the membership cost. I currently pay more than $180 per month, which is quite expensive. At that price point, I believe members naturally expect not only quality facilities but also consistently professional and understanding customer service. Despite these frustrations, I still appreciate the convenience of the location and the overall amenities the gym provides.

The experience i had today with a member and the employee was honestly like no other. Currently they are having renovation done in the ladies locker room so they had us go to the family locker room. When i finished my shower i stepped out to grab lotion and finish getting ready for work. Well this particular member who i have never seen before starts off with an attitude saying "are you done"". i tell her nicely not yet I'm getting lotion. She then proceeds to tell me "what am i doing out the locker room if I'm not even finished". I was so confused where her attitude was coming from so i asked her why are you being rude? She then proceeds to come at me saying I'm the example of what people shouldn't do?? She also calls me names like "midget" and little girl" etc. I ask her what her problem because I'm genuinely lost where the attitude is coming from if I'm being nice to her? then she puts her hand in my face so that's where she crossed the line with me and that's when i complained to the front desk workers of what happened, an employee named Mai or May who is typically in the front desk area comes with me so i can point out the lady. I started to get overwhelmed while explaining and the lady tells me to "stop crying" and how "my tears aren't necessary"?? after she almost hit me. I walked back out to the front desk area to cool down and Mai comes out saying how i started the argument and how i shouldn't have taken long because bathrooms were limited which I didn't even take more than 20 minutes getting ready also there was no sign saying you are limited this amount of time to shower and get ready so I was in fact allowed to take my time. I've always respected rules and regulations at all times but there was nothing present saying i needed to be done under a certain amount of time and the fact the employee sided with her not even hearing my side made me beyond disappointed and mistreated really shows the type of employees they're hiring to work there. Keep in mind I'm a 20 year old women and this lady was probably in her 50s-60s. Words cant describe how disappointed i am with the way i was treated by this employee Mai, knowing how this lady made me cry and mistreated me which she saw with her own eyes too how rude this lady was with me. This definitely makes me view lifetime much differently moving forward so I hope you guys start choosing your employees better.
