We joined the baseball party "late" with my 8 year old joining his first baseball team this past Spring. We wanted Grant to enjoy his first experience, so we signed him up for D-Bat over Spring Break to help build his confidence, along with his 6 year old brother. We could see a major improvement in their skills after just a few days, so we decided to continue with some private lessons with one of the camp coaches, Will Leonard. One of the best decisions we ever made! Will has done wonders for Grant, not only with baseball, but with his overall confidence. Will has shown great patience with Grant, really customizing his training to fit his specific needs, with a focus on building up his confidence and hand-eye coordination. You could see his improvement in both hitting and fielding with every game, and his coaches and teammates noticed too. Will is extremely professional and supportive and puts his best into every lesson. You can tell Will loves baseball and enjoys sharing his passion with others - what more could you ask for! D-Bat is a great place for talented ball players on the rise, as well as kids who may a little extra help. I'm always impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of the entire D-Bat staff. My boys just started playing baseball this Spring They are 8 years old. We asked their coach where to attend camp. After the boys first day it was obvious why the coach recommended D-bat They loved camp so we decided to get them a lesson. They knew Will Leonard from camp, so we signed up with him. Moving forward and six lessons later, Will is the man. The boys have made great strides and we owe it all to Will. Will's knowledge of the game is vast. He uses and shares this knowledge with my boys. It's not just with my boy's. We see him with kids before and after our lessons and we're always at the cages. One thing about Will is patience with the boys, I could take a lesson from Will in that area. He never loses his patience and if he needs to show the boys something numerous times until they get it it's no biggie. I could go on and on about Will and D-bat. The professionalism exuded by Will and the D-bat staff are surpassed by none. We highly recommend the facility and by all means get a lesson from Will. Five stars doesn't do Will or D-bat justice. D-BAT Marietta is an awesome facility with a world class team behind it! We discovered it while still under construction, and knew that once it opened we would be back. My son, who has been playing ball since age 5, has been to D-BAT camps and loved every single second. We also held his last birthday party here too. The incredible team at D-BAT made our son's birthday party a huge success down to every last detail. Finally, the team at D-BAT is superior! Our son has taken lessons with Will Leonard who has proven to be an instrumental influence to developing his baseball skills. Will has really done an outstanding job in building our son's confidence while teaching him the game that he loves so much. He's really good with kids and has easy temperament that kids respond well to. And of course, Gerry Schmidt, the General Manager of D-BAT Marietta, has also been a tremendous positive influence to our son. Great facility and staff!!! Have been very accommodating to the demands that a little league park and program can have and have provided great instructors to our kids. I had been taking my 8yo son to an instructor previously and not happy with the results. Brought my son to one of the DBAT instructors: Will Leonard whom within the first session not only provided a breakdown of the small problems in his swing mechanics but gave me actual drills to do with him to correct it. We continued to see Will over the course of the first half of the season and my son went from an average hitter to being the team's top hitter. He took away the upper body over rotation that the other instructor neglected when only focusing on one component of the swing. I highly recommend Will Leonard and DBATs and have heard similar approvals of the other instructors available. read more

Great facility. Knowledgeable staff. As a family we were not going to be able to do travel ball this summer. We decided instead to put him in baseball camp. My son goes to camp at DBats from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. He loves it. He has gotten one on one instruction during and after camp, and we have seen marked improvement. The instructors here are great. I have watched some of the instruction sessions with my son and other kids of differing ages, and these guys do it the right way. I played college baseball, and I am impressed with the knowledge, patience, and attention to detail that these instructors show. Nathan is my son's pitching instructor. He has also gotten instruction on hitting from Will and Gerald. I would recommend them all. If you want your child to improve, send them to DBats. read more

I am in an attorney softball league but hadn't played in 3 years, so I decided to get some instruction to work on my batting mechanics, which got rusty. Rick McKeone was my instructor and he did an excellent job pinpointing what I had been doing wrong. Not only that, but I've come in several times since then to practice hitting on my own. I've definitely progressed and I highly recommend Mr. McKeone for anyone seeking effective one-on-one instruction. The entire staff at D-Bat's Marietta location is courteous and very professional. Not only adults, but also youngsters accompanied by either their parents or by their teams and coaches, come here to practice. During my visits, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. D Bat is an excellent organization. My kids have practiced regularly at both the Atlanta & the Marietta facility. Since opening, D bat Marietta has maintained a friendly, well-run facility. But the best part is always the instructors & employees who serve as great role models. In Marietta, we especially appreciate the knowledge, experience, & teaching ability of Andrew Abee. He has gone above & beyond, even sharing his unique insights with my son on pitching from a catcher's point of view, as well as reinforcing key fundamentals for my daughter in hitting & fielding in softball! My son Bryan has been playing baseball since he was 4. We have spent many years playing rec ball, on all star teams, travel ball and now high school ball. Always eager to improve his game, he wanted hitting instruction from a more " professional prospect". Referred to D-bat from teammates we checked it out. Started taking lessons about 5-6 weeks ago with Will Leonard. Will is an instructor with a great teaching ability, he is professional, knowledgable and is very encouraging. My daughter took hitting, fielding and catching lessons every week for 6 months from Rick McKeone. She love every minute of it. Rick taught her proper mechanics for hitting, throwing, fielding and catching. He taught her things no other coach ever did and we love him for that. The lessons were not easy and they pushed her to reach her goals. We were platinum members and enjoyed the beautiful facilities and being able to use the cages for hitting or general practice any time we want. We will go back to DBAT MARIETTA to continue her lessons in between seasons. We love RICK! read more

Will Leonard has been a great batting instructor for my son Heath. He relates well to Will's style and he's open to new ideas and approaches to be an effective instructor. After a few weeks of working with Will my son hit his first homerun ever at Cooperstown!!! Thanks Will! We also use Miles Williams for pitching and he has really improved Heath's confidence and command in the mound. Miles is disciplined and works him hard and it pays off with the results. Great indoor training facility for baseball. Cages are all nice and good quality. We came in from out-of-town for the PerfectGame 16U WWBA tournament and needed a place for our team to take BP. PerfectGame recommended D-Bat to us and it was close to our hotel and game locations. So we reserved two cages, and when we arrived we found that the facility was super nice. The place is spacious and has several cages, plenty of room to get a big group in to do some hitting. Would recommend! read more

DBAT has first class indoor facilities and a wide range of instructors available from former MLB names you would recognize to local college players. All of them can handle a wide range of abilities and ages. My son has worked with Nathan this year and he is a great instructor for hitting, pitching and fielding. D-Bat is a great facility for us East Cobb baseball parents. The parking lot is crowded for a reason. Lots of great trainers and teachers. If your son is a power hitting 1B, 3B, LF or RF i don't think you could find a better hitting instructor than Will Leonard. I recently went with my brother to one of his lessons at D-bat with Will as his instructor and was absolutely blown away. He's got a passion for both the sport as well as the children he teaches. Nathan Harsh is very knowledgable pitching instructor. He not only works on pitching he also works on the conditioning needed to be a pitcher. He communicates to my son asking him how he has pitched in previous games and what he is about to teach him on the that given day. I feel Nathan is a very good pitching instructor that I would recommend to anybody. read more

Coach Rick is a great batting coach and I've improved so much from his lessons. He has taught me so many things, such as unique drills, batting and fielding techniques, and "relax". Have been there for two small group lessons with my son's team and the instructors were great. We used the nice machine pitch cages this week and was impressed.
