All the horses had beautiful horns and painted hair (like pastel chalk that does not hurt them). All animals are under the most wonderful care and we are given instructions on how to approach them and observe them. Amongst many things we saw a baby chick being hatched, baby bunnies, adult bunnies, donkeys, sheep's, horses, pigs, pony's, goats, doves, chickens, roosters, chicks and of course UNICORNS! Staff was out of this world helpful!! So sweet and kind. It was a hot day and they let my little nephew play in the clean water they had to cool off! We even got a tractor ride! They have a beautiful tree swing and so many cute picture spots! Pack a picnic (but be careful not to throw any food on the ground the animals each have specific diets and we wouldn't want them to eat anything that could hurt their stomachs). Also there is hand sanitizer but I would suggest bringing some soap and water if you want to wash your hands. Just ask for the best place to do that! They have a pretty Montessori style here. You're given help in approaching the animals and donkeys sheep and goats are sitting all around and you can walk around and pet them. There are brushes set aside for you to brush them too!! The more attention specific animals like the bigger bunnies were handled with the wonderful caregivers! Allowing people to hold the more socialized animals even! Also the unicorns were beautiful with flower leis and gorgeous horns! Absolutely a must to do for any birthday, field trip, or just a way to get kids used to animals in a wonderfully comfortable setting.

Watched my 8 year old ride in the covered arena on a rainy day - an accident waiting to happen. I…read morecould hardly watch. The horse she was on seemed distracted and she couldn't control it. Her young "trainer" just kept yelling at her to use her legs, but I could tell she was frightened and didn't know what that meant. The part of the covered arena she was using wasn't entirely covered, so the rain was still getting in, there was lots of mud that her pony did not want to go in, and yet she was with 3 other riders who were having their own lesson using one jump in this tiny area. One of the other girls almost ran into my daughter and then her trainer yelled at her! There were 8 other riders, with 2 different trainers who, maybe because they owned their own horses, were lucky to have the rest of the covered arena although there were lots of horses and riders charging around. What a mess! 12 horses, 12 riders, 3-4 trainers, parents everywhere - chaos. Maybe this place is ok when it's sunny and they can use different riding areas, but things seemed dangerous - I wasn't the only parent that was anxious! Finding somewhere else to ride.

The location is great, however this review pertains to their youth soccer program. My 8 year old…read moreson just finished his 2nd soccer season with them. The first was great. The coach was good with the kids, and everything seemed to run as smoothly as it could. Unfortunately, this second season has left me greatly disappointed. I wasn't as happy with it in general as I was last year, but that is fine. I was still planning on signing him up again next season. Recent events have made me change my mind though. At the end of October, my son took a direct hit from a soccerball to the face during practice. After walking it off, he seemed okay and continued on with the practice. The next day, we get a call from the school nurse. She tells us that he has a headache and he is disoriented. We pick him up from school and take him to the doctor, where we discover that he has a concussion. The doctor says that he needs to refrain from soccer until the follow up visit the next week. I don't hold COY responsible for any of this. Things like this happen in sports all the time. We knew that when we signed our son up. We emailed the coach to let him know about our son received a concussion at practice and of the doctors orders. We told him that we would not be at practice that Friday or the following Monday, nor the game that Saturday. We did not receive a response. This bothered me, but I let it slide. I still received emails from the coach addressed to the team regarding practices and games, but nothing about my son. We took our son to the follow up visit a week later, and the doctor said that he was better, but still recovering and that he would have to sit out the rest of the season. Again, I emailed the coach to update him on the situation. This time I asked him to let us know how he would like us to finish out the season. Again, I did not receive a response. The last game of the season was last weekend. We still haven't heard from any of the coaches. There were three of them, and none of them could be bothered to make a phone call or send an email. Earlier this week, we sent an email to the director of the youth soccer program. We still have not received a response. COY is not responsible for my son getting injured, but I am holding them fully responsible for the lack of communication of their staff. I suppose that the COY youth soccer program is decent enough, just don't expect them to care if your child gets injured on their property while participating in their program. If that matters to you, you might want to find something else for your child to do.

Had a great time with my 6 and 9 year old kids last week during "dad camp". The Fulton library has…read morea free pass you can check out for up to 4 people which is great but it is otherwise affordable. I would budget at least 2 hours here or as many as 3 if your kids are going to interact with the butterflies and the turtles and do the scavenger hunt as mine did. The indoor exhibit is small but charming and there are a few native species around. The downstairs education center also does a scavenger hunt every month which is really cool. They've done an amazing job of "gamifying" nature/science learning with their points based rewards system and natural objects exchange. We learned a lot about butterflies and caterpillars on our quest. The points thing goes a long way to motivating little ones that may be more skeptical about "learning" experiences and museums. But if you have kids who are more active and will walk, the variety of local trails contained within the nature center is quite nice. I would recommend coming here for adults without kids too for this reason. I heard there were little fairy houses somewhere too here but. I didn't see them. We saw the beaver, a variety of different birds including hawks and owls, and tons of other local animals. It was cool to see how intentional the design was of the outdoor sections and the map they give you at the gift shop/ticket counter is helpful. I also like how they have lots of play areas built in outside for kids to explore in a less structured way. They also have some nice picnic spots. Staff were friendly and helpful. "Feeding" (with the little sugar sticks) the butterflies was fantastic. Even on a hot summer day, I'm super glad we came and if it wasn't so far from where I lived I would attend more regularly/become a member.

I would strongly discourage anyone from sending their child to Sunbrook Academy. I apologize for…read morethe long review but want other parents to be warned and understand our experience so that they can make an informed decision about where they send their children, especially infants. While our son only attended the school for a total of 8 hours, it has been nothing but less than favorable interactions from the initial drop off. When my husband and I arrived to drop our son off, the assistant director was on what sounded like a personal telephone call discussing another parent complaining about her. After waiting there for 5 minutes, she got off the phone, and did not know who we were or why we were there. We explained it was our son's first day and we were there to drop off. She walked us to our son's classroom where we met his teacher. Walking into the room, there was a single teacher getting bottles ready while 5 infants sat on the other side of the gate area, several of which were whining/crying. Most of the lights were off and the room is crowded and dark. The teacher said hello to me and my husband and asked me about our son's feeding/sleeping routine. We asked if we could help set him up in the room, which they allowed. At no point during this interaction did anyone say hello or welcome our son. We ultimately left him in the room playing with toys while the teacher continued to get the other children their food. Not once did we see her, or anyone, acknowledge our son before leaving. It was so discomforting that both my husband and I considered walking back into the room and taking our son home right then. I reported this to the director that morning around 10:00am. She apologized for the experience, explained it was an off morning and that she would talk with the assistant director as well as the teacher. When we picked up our son at 11:30am, he was exhausted, and had clearly been crying a lot. Upon our son's return to school, the second drop off was better. The following week, our son attended his third and final day at school. When I returned to pick up my son, the school director, Michelle, was also in the room and the teacher was holding my son sleeping. They informed me that my son had hurt himself while crawling, resulting in a bloody lip and scratched nose. On my car ride home, I called the school and asked to speak with Michelle director about what had occurred so that I could understand better. Beth, the assistant director, explained that Michelle was on a tour so I asked that she give me a call back after the tour. After two days and five telephone calls/voicemails, I finally was able to get in touch with the school director. At no point did anyone return my phone call or call to see why my son was absent after an incident at the school. The incident itself was not an issue, as I know babies will get hurt as they learn to crawl and walk but it was how the school handled things following the incident that was the problem. Sunbrook Academy advertises itself as a safe and nurturing place for your baby to receive loving care and learning experiences. The Infant Care Program is committed to making the first transition away from home natural and easy for both child and parent. Our experience was anything but that. After several weeks of back and forth with the regional director or Cadence, I was finally able to review the video of the incident involving my son. It was as described but the whole ordeal left me very disappointed in the school and how they care for children. I unfortunately have heard more horror stories about this school over the last few weeks and had I known any of this prior to enrolling our son, I would never have let him attend this school.

Everyone employed has a true love for what they do and always have the children's best interest in mind. They have a menu that serves healthy food and introduces them to new options. My daughter eats so much at school that she wouldn't normally touch at home! They get playground time twice a day & are constantly updating kid reports with fun pictures so I know exactly what they're doing and when. Love Sunbrook and so happy to be a part of their team!
