I love visiting it with my husband just before sunset. We saw so many kids playing in the spider web climbing thing and the play area. There was a birthday party going on and the park was filled with folks of all ages. Trails: A little walk on the left leads you to the dam(falls) and it's a very quiet and serene path to walk or jog. There are 2-3 trails around the park but a bit rugged, so I recommend going when there's plenty of daylight. Parking spots are plenty and the park is pet-friendly. There are also kayak rentals on the river bank below. When we came we hiked the 3/4 mile looped trail behind the playground accessible from the parking lot. There was a bald eagle flying above his beat. Kayakers down below had beached themselves on a sandbar in the middle of the river. A guitarist was jamming and kids were playing in the Sun. To my understanding, this park connects to another one, but we didn't check the other side out. It seemed to be well maintained overall. The bathrooms were clean and kept up, the park and pavilions were in good condition overall, and there was no major construction or anything going on which was nice. Someone was setting up for a birthday party or function of some sort, so we left a little earlier than planned, but you could definitely spend a decent amount of time here and just relax and enjoy the quiet. There are views of the river over the bridge and a bunch of different trails one could take. My clients enjoyed the little free library that many of the parks around here have. It's to the left, right off the main parking lot when you drive in. We borrowed a few books and now we can return some one day to this location and others. Overall, everyone had a great time and we would definitely come back here for book club or just to walk around in the fresh air again.

The grass and area are very well taken care of. When I went, the grass was low and I didn't see one single piece of trash anywhere. There's a private horse farm nearby, you cannot touch or feed the horses, but you can definitely see them if they're out. lots of parking although it can get busy for sure especially when kids get out of school or on the weekends. There's also a large park w/ a walkway in the back with a lake. There's an outer area where people do parties sometimes. on sunny days there's not a lot of shade so be warned: It can get very hot. Overall I recommend going in the morning or on days where kids have school so that it's not as busy and your toddler/kid can have a run of the park. There's also restrooms in the area. The restrooms are very clean. Admission is reasonable at $10 per adult. No cash accepted. Plenty of walkable area and trails, many places to comfortably sit and enjoy this slice of nature. This was a pleasurable distraction from the busyness of the surrounding commercial area. There was also a nice covered area for observation of the koi pond and waterfall features, which would be great in a mild rain shower. The butterfly tent area sounds amazing, but we were too early for the season. The gardens are set up for educational purposes for children, which is nice. The bad: some areas are in desperate need for weeding, Robert said a large group of volunteers were coming out this weekend to help with weeding. There were many poison oak plants and poison ivy plants in some areas where kids might roam, especially, or adults too. The trails could be marked better, even though maps were available at the main admissions shop and a couple on property. Generally, this seemed newer rather than well established, but it is on its way to a nice gardens area and even now is a great spot to spend a couple of hours or more in nature!
