Nice little park. I think that I have been visiting this place since the 1970s. It is usually quiet - not too busy. There is a tennis court, a volleyball court with sand, benches & picnic tables. read more

My personal favorite is the walking track, it's simple, never crowded and a great way to shed pounds. 2 times around equals 1 mile. For the kiddies, they have a great playground area with swings & etc. It's in it's own little area so if you are walking around the trail, you can also keep an eye on the kiddies. For the hopeless romantic or the spotsman....a really nice lawn area is provided & a 2 person swing which is great for picnic dates and birthday parties. Also, I often see a lot of people out playing soccer and sometimes football on the well manicured lawn. A lighted tennis area is also provided. The area is well lighted so if you are an early morning walker you can still get your workout in.

To my understanding, this park connects to another one, but we didn't check the other side out. It seemed to be well maintained overall. The bathrooms were clean and kept up, the park and pavilions were in good condition overall, and there was no major construction or anything going on which was nice. Someone was setting up for a birthday party or function of some sort, so we left a little earlier than planned, but you could definitely spend a decent amount of time here and just relax and enjoy the quiet. There are views of the river over the bridge and a bunch of different trails one could take. My clients enjoyed the little free library that many of the parks around here have. It's to the left, right off the main parking lot when you drive in. We borrowed a few books and now we can return some one day to this location and others. Overall, everyone had a great time and we would definitely come back here for book club or just to walk around in the fresh air again.

Sometimes I'll visit the park solo as well for walking as it has lovely walking trails. If you want a more serious/intense workout there's also an area for that. This park is truly amazing.
