Middle TN Dentistry is not a practice that can be recommended. The inconsistent and incorrect…read morebilling practices are the worst I've seen in any medical practice ever. And no one wants to feel pressured into treatments that are unwanted. In 2024, I received a cleaning, x-rays, & a gum treatment (that I don't believe was needed). The practice's statement showed insurance overpaid on the work done yet I received a text showing a balance due. An employee reviewed my account & said the insurance overpaid & nothing was due; she also could not explain a $217 charge the practice posted to my account 3 months after the appointment. No copays were applied for any treatment. In 2025, I wanted only a cleaning & the practice refused to proceed without forcing x-rays on me; they provided the cost & insurance coverage for the 2 items with no copays discussed. Months later, a text arrived with a balance due. Again, the practice had been overpaid by insurance for the work done & yet applied a charge to the account months after the appointment. Billing claims it was for a copay & that they should have applied 2 copays for preventative work; & for 1 treatment the staff forced on me! Same work & same insurance coverage as 2024 yet now they want to apply copays. Client well-being is the least of Middle TN Dentistry's concerns; it's all about the money they can get from insurance and clients.

Our experience with Dr. Crump at M.City Endodontics was like Carol's (who also posted a review) -…read morereally wonderful. He is very honest, nice, and very skilled. My wife was in severe pain and went to her regular dentist who said she needed a Root Canal, and recommended Dr. Crump. We got an appointment with Dr. Crump and his assistant took a 3-D Xray. My wife was in the chair waiting for the Root Canal BUT Dr. Crump reviewed the x-ray and noticed an almost invisible crack in the tooth - he was only able to see it because of the 3-D Xray, because her main dentist had done a regular Xray and didn't see it. Dr. Crump told us that a Root Canal wouldn't solve her problem and that she needed the tooth extracted. --- Think about that - he could have easily gone ahead and done the Root Canal and we would have paid for it, BUT he is honest and did what was best for my wife - he put her first. Also, he is very skilled and professional to notice the crack - you had to look close to see it. We were just charged for the cost of the 3-D Xray and a consultation, so he lost a lot of money - he had already blocked out that time slot for my wife. Even so, he was very polite about it and even gave my wife a prescription for pain medication. Also, his staff was VERY nice, helpful and friendly. I think he's Top 5% and highly recommend him.

I just want to note on here that if anyone ever needs a root canal/is TOLD you "need" a root canal…read moreyou MUST GO TO Dr. Brian Crump in Brentwood - I am speaking as someone who grew up in a Dental Office (Dad oral surgeon/orthodontist and brother is) I was a Dental Hygienist and TAUGHT Dental Hygiene - and THIS man is magnificient! Why? I did not WANT a root canal but I was in SO much pain from biting down on a solid peppercorn...the inflamation exploded each day to the point where I was "If he tells me I need THREE root canals I will DO IT JUST to STOP THIS PAIN!!" GUESS WHAT?? ( I say this as someone who has witnessed unethical dentists multiple times in my life...) he told me I did NOT NEED a root canal! DESPITE both my SELF and the REFERRiNG DENTIST being CONVINCED I DID! So, instead of destroying a root and paying $1,500 it only cost me $177 and 3 meds at the pharmacy. Here - everyone should save this man's name for friends. You can absolutely trust his ethics and skill set! !!
