Y'all, when I tell you this is the best experience with any dental professional I've ever had, I absolutely mean it. I've had countless crowns/ root canals and other work done. I am no stranger to the dentist chair. After a failed crown caused a massive infection, I had no choice but to have my tooth pulled. After careful research, I decided on Dr Haley. The office was clean when I arrived. Staff was very friendly. Once in the room Dr Haley came in and introduced himself. The conversation was very smooth and he put my mind at ease. We went over the procedure and what my options were after this was done. His assistant Destiny was very thorough in explaining my after care instructions. I had absolutely no questions. During the procedure, Dr. Haley was having a light fun conversation which definitely put my nerves at ease. The procedure was over before I knew it and I was on my way home. I am so thankful for Dr and his staff. I would, 100 times over, recommend him to my family, friends and whomever else I come in contact with. Unfortunately I have had a lot of experience with dentists/oral surgeons in Nashville. I'll spare you the details, but if you need an oral surgeon, Dr. Haley is the way to go. My situation was truly an emergency (nasty infection in a back molar) and my dentist called him with a referral at 4:00 one afternoon. Dr. Haley got me in first thing the next morning. He was very reassuring and took care of the problem. As wonderful as Dr. Haley is, his staff is the best I have ever experienced in an office. My insurance is kinda complicated, so I was ready for the proverbial "We'll file it and see how much they pay." But his office manager didn't do that. She got on the phone with my insurance and figured out exactly what percentage I had to pay for the procedure. She told me she didn't want me to pay any more than I had to. Really went above and beyond! I won't forget that! Later that day when I was at home recuperating, his surgery nurse called me to check on me. Talk about building a personal relationship with your patients. Wow! For my sake, I hope I don't need an oral surgeon again. If I do, there's no question that Dr. Haley is only doctor I'd go to. Highly highly highly recommend! Honestly, I've heard so many horror stories from friends and family about oral and dental procedures gone wrong that I knew I would thoroughly research background info, credibility, and reviews of who would be performing my wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Haley's reviews speak for themselves. He was so comfortable to consult and work with and my procedure went seamlessly. In addition, Dr. Haley's staff are absolute angels. Like actual angels. I let them know that I'd want to know the total cost of everything before deciding what all my procedure would entail. Dr. Haley himself and his staff validated my feelings without hesitation and a nurse came back 10 minutes later providing the total cost of all three different options and what the varying factors were. After my surgery, I sat in the resting room/lounge for a bit, not knowing left or right and still trying to wake up from the anesthesia. My friend who was there with me told me the surgery nurse was patting my head and hair, soothing me and taking such maternal-like care of me. I LOVE THAT. I'll bet Spence is a great guy but I'll never know. Called 3 weeks ago to book an appt for my son who is home from college. I booked an appt for Thursday and then explained in DETAIL the situation - he was leaving on Sunday. They insisted on a consultation before surgery despite the pain and movement of his teeth. I specifically asked the following two questions: 1) If he needs surgery can it be done on Friday. Answer: YES 2) Can he fly on an airplane on Sunday two days after surgery Answer: Shouldn't be a problem.I proceeded to ask the same two questions in a different manner just to make sure The office called me today to confirm. I asked my two questions again and was informed NO appts on Friday your son needs to wait another week or two for an opening - "Bless Your Heart". What T's me off is I could have made an appt with another surgeon but stuck with this office because of the answers to my questions. So not a bad review on the Doc, but his staff needs to get in sync and NOT waste people's time. read more

Dr. Spencer Haley and his team are excellent! Our son had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and we forgot to tell Dr. Haley that he sometimes has a "vagal" response to pain and other stimuli. It causes him to lose consciousness for a brief period of time and then his muscles shake when he regains consciousness. It's scary and it looks like he's having a seizure when it happens and we should have remembered to inform Dr. Haley. Of course it happened in the chair just before surgery, but Dr. Haley and his team knew exactly what was happening, made my son feel comfortable as he felt it coming on, and again once he recovered. Dr. Haley even offered to let him reschedule the surgery. To them, it's a routine procedure but they understand that to the patient and family, it's a big deal. The entire team was thoroughly professional, caring, and gave great aftercare instructions. We highly recommend Dr. Haley! read more

My numbness wore off around 430 and I was completely pain free. The next day I was mowing my yard and washing my car as if I didn't have any surgery at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give you all of the care instructions, prescriptions, and send you on your way within a very short time. Someone is always on call in case of emergencies. Went to see Spencer Haley for a consultation on getting my wisdom teeth removed. I spent 30-45 minutes in his waiting room completing paper work, and an additional 15 in the chair waiting on him to arrive. Upon his arrival he glanced into my mouth for a split second, put up the X-ray and said which teeth he thought should be removed. He was standing up the entire time, ready to move on to the next patient after less than 5 minutes of seeing me. I wanted to know more about the procedure and possible risk factors which he answered in one word answers while referring to a pamphlet. Upon leaving I noticed he had several other patients under anesthesia who he was in the process of treating. Bottom line, this guys does not instill confidence in his patients that he has an interest in their health, and does not spend the time that you would want an Oral surgeon to spend on the going over the details. I would steer clear and find a doctor that is not treating his practice as a surgical assembly line. read more
