The hygienists are thorough, gentle, personable, and truly care about their patients. Our family has been lucky and needed very little in-depth dentistry, but the services we have received have always been professional and excellent. They listen to their patients and treat each one as an individual. We used them for all of our kids exams and treatments, and have been more than pleased. We highly recommend them for adults and children, and will continue to use them for all of our future needs. They treat us more like family than patients.

They put her at ease from the second she walked through the door. She is sold on this practice and just can't find enough nice words to say about them. They all had to be sedated for different reasons, which they charge $300 for and will tell you no insurance pays for the conscious sedation. Our middle child was struggling to calm down and because they were trying to keep their schedule they had to abort my son's procedure and we were still charged the $300 sedation fee for him. My wife says the dental assistant was very rude and only one staff member was apologetic. Dr. Knoell diagnosed my 2 year old son with an enamel defect causing cavities and immediately…read morerecommended surgery at a "brand new surgery center" that he even mentioned he has financial stake in (!!!! major red flag) When I asked if it would be at all possible for me or my husband to be with my son while he was in surgery, Dr. Knoell actually LAUGHED - and said "Don't even ask that question." He really stressed urgency, and that my son's four teeth may die before we get him into surgery. He kept saying there was nothing he could do, except major surgery under general anesthesia. I left devastated. I was in a panic all day, frantically calling other dental surgeons to try and get on their waiting list for surgery just in case we can be seen sooner elsewhere. I connected with a practice in Columbia which he had recommended and they saw my son that day. After an in depth examination including x rays (which Dr Knoell did not suggest or recommend at any point!!) the dentist at this practice concluded that my son has no cavities at all, and instead has staining from an iron multivitamin he takes daily. I actually sobbed with relief. It is egregious that Dr. Knoell would neglect to confirm whether or not my son actually had cavities or truly a need for significant dental surgery requiring IV sedation. He was so quick to recommend the surgery and stress the urgency, but then also said he had no idea if he would get him in before the teeth die. This is gross negligence on his part. I will not be returning to this office and will certainly never recommend it. I would hate for other families to be pressured into unnecessary surgery on their small children purely because this man has financial stake in a new surgery center. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!

The dentist should have been more honest and upfront about my situation and suggest a flipper or partial instead, in the very beginning. They proceeded to schedule me for extraction of that tooth and impression for a one tooth flipper. Did not provide me with a treatment plans or costs of the extraction or flipper. No transparency at all. When I asked for the itemized statement after the extraction and the flipper, they were very rude about it. And did not provide an itemized statement to me. Today, I had a molar extracted by Dr. Lewallen. I was referred by my dentist, and was able to get in for an appointment on the same day. The tooth was broken, painful, infected, and needed to be removed. However I am 32 weeks pregnant, so the only numbing I could have was novocaine. Being lucid the entire time was rough, and probably more so with pregnancy hormone. (I cried. A few times.) Still, the entire staff was so patient with me, including Dr. Lewallen. That really meant a lot to me. Since arriving home, I've had little to no pain, and I'm honestly very surprised at how normal I feel. Bedside manner and quality of work are super important to offset the fact that getting dental work done is no fun, no matter what. The staff and Doctors at this office clearly understand this, and I appreciate that. While I hope I never have to see anyone here again , if I do, I'll know I'm In good hands.

His assistant was also amazing and she always made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The facility was super clean. They give you big comfy blankets to use during the procedure and I was even able to watch tv while they were removing my teeth as I chose local anesthesia instead of general. Truly made an experience I thought would be terrifying into an amazing one.
