I have eaten at several Frankie's Mexican Restaurants atriums the Dallas area, and all are very good. But the one in Wylie was a tad bit better. The taste and service at this restaurant was top notch! The homemade flour tortillas were amazing, and the queso - delicious! Our server was on it too! Same great Frankie's that I enjoy in Richardson, just a different setting! This particular Frankie's is in an old house, this the name Frankie's Casa. I am not usually at a Frankie's when they serve Brunch so today, I ordered Breakfast Tacos. They were good, but could have used smaller potato chunks and more eggs in my opinion. Hands down my favorite Mexican in the Wylie/ Sachse area. I love both locations! My personal fave are chicken tacos with beans and rice. Simple, classic Mexican good done right. The quesadillas are also delicious. The salsa here has just the right amount of kick, and the chips are tasty without being too hard or too greasy! We sat in the indoor patio space, which was cute and comfortable with the hot weather. Our server made sure all our orders came out right, and checked in on us as well! We chose Frankie's. Very cute restaurant and we were seated quickly. The chicken and shrimp fajitas were delicious as were the fixings. Corn tortillas were nothing special but most aren't unless made in house. Drinks were good as well. We got Mexican martinis and they didn't come with ice but were very slushy. Very friendly service. First, the food was amazing! The sizzling skillet of fajitas was aromatic and flavorful and there was a generous portion of steak! The shrimp tacos were cooked to perfection and the drinks were satisfying. However, what stood out most was the wonderful service provided by our server Amara. She was attentive, answered our questions about the menu, and told us what her favorites were. She made sure that we had all we needed before our food came and afterwards. This place is absolutely amazing! I will let you know that it gets packed and it stays packed because the food and the service is exceptional! Got there and had a party of seven and was able to get set right away, our waitress was able to accommodate all the needs of our party, which was great. We had plenty of chips and salsa, which was really good. The chips were fresh. The salsa is mild and the fresh tortillas are also good to your choice of flour or corn. In addition, I must say that I tried their potato brisket enchiladas and oh my God was this a hit they come with mushrooms and I did the mushrooms on the side and I'm here to tell you that when I return, I will be ordering the same plate again. The queso is a must. I'm not for sure what they put into it but we ended up having two bowls of it and honestly, I mean, you could almost put your finger in there and lick all the sides because the queso is so good. I will let you also know that every single thing on the menu is delicious from the fajitas to the chicken to the steak to the tacos. Anything that you ordered is great. We ordered pretty much everything and they do have a happy hour that ends at 6 PM with five dollar margaritas. In addition, we were not rushed to leave and were able to talk and have some fun. We loved that the fact that the manager came over a few times to check on us and see if we needed something as well. And as we finished food, we were able to stack up plates, and the table was actually to be clear so that we could continue to chat for a little while. I love the location of the restaurant... right on the main street in downtown Wylie. Their patio is super cute and definitely a great place to enjoy your meal when the weather permits. For tex mex, the food was good and fairly priced. We went during happy hour on a Friday and enjoyed ourselves a couple of great happy hour margaritas. I tried their guava margarita and loved it. The only reason why I am giving the restaurant a 3 star rating is due to their service. The bartender was mostly helping us, but she was busy making drinks during happy hour so we had to wait a lot in order to get what we needed. The other servers just did not seem to care if you needed something and barely acknowledged us... even when we were trying to flag somebody's attention. I am not quite sure why that was... maybe because we were sitting in the bar area versus the main floor. Regardless, I think the staff could be a bit friendlier and attentive. I would go back to Frankie's, but I think I'll stick to the main area dining in hopes of getting better service! read more

Honestly, I hate giving bad reviews. This place was super sub par. We were recommended by so many people and I'm severely disappointed. The service wasn't great, my steak was grey and extremely overcooked. The margaritas were super sugary and the environment was just bleh. We were looking for some dinner options near our Airbnb. Lucky, Frankie's casa was right down the street. This place looked like a house that was converted to a restaurant! Wonderful service, and delicious food! We sat out in the covered patio, and was able to just people watch those that walked by as we ate! The tacos were so good! My wife and I have been frequent diners at the Frankie's in Sasche for years. When Frankie's Casa opened in downtown Wylie, (where the Taste of Home used to be), we've had to choose which Frankie's to go to. The Sasche location has a friendly atmosphere in the bar area, great bartenders, and great service. We see many regulars at the bar, whom we've come to know casually. There have been times where, after the drinks have 'sunk in", that the customers at the bar would break out in song. I know, crazy right? That's how friendly the atmosphere is there. The Wylie location is closer to our casa and the food is great at both (same menu), as is the service. And, we seem to see Frankie no matter which restaurant we stop in. Sometimes I wonder if there are two of him. Maybe he has a twin brother? Enough rambling... I'm writing this review because I had a unique experience last night, when we met our Daughter and her crew, to celebrate her 3Xth birthday. By the way, it was PACKED on a Thursday night. FWIW... It's packed every night, at both local locations. Best to try Frankies at lunch-time for your first visit, if you want to get seated within thirty minutes or so. Because of some teeth issues, I usually order the nachos from the appetizer menu, and have them swap the chicken or beef options for ground beef, as it's easier on my chompers. However... We arrived a bit late to the party, and the family had already scarfed down , appetizers and were waiting on their their meals. (Pro-tip... the queso with ground beef is a family favorite). I hastily order my usual but, when the waiter asked, "Chicken or beef", I said, "Beef, please". I didn't realize my error until my plate arrived (within minutes of the food the family had already ordered). I looked down at the generous portion of beef on the nachos and thought, "uh-oh". I'm not too picky, and rarely send anything back, and it was my-bad, so I forked a hunk of beef and started chewing. DANG, what have I been missing all these years. BEEF!, very tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked. No more ground beef for me at Frankies. Can't wait to go back. OMG! We just moved to Wylie from Plano and frequented Frankie's in Richardson back in the day! Frankie's Casa is amazing in downtown Wylie! We always sit at the bar. There is plenty of seating with TV's to watch your favorite sports. It was very busy for a Sundsy night! The restaurant has a great vibe!! Our bartender, Milo, took great care of us & made our amazing drinks. Samantha, behind the bar, checked on us frequently and also took great care of us!! We ordered the top shelf frozen margarita with Gran Marnier, and I had the Mexican martini. the drinks were delicious!! We also had a shot of Hornitos (my favorite), and my husband had Don Julio resposado. The chips and salsa were delicious!! Then, we split the combo fajitas. Chicken and beef. Everything was hot and delicious. Frankie, the owner, was here. We know him from his restaurant in Richardson. He is super down to earth, and we have a great pic with him. There is plenty of street parking available and an amazing patio out front when the weather is permitting. We will be back to frequent this awesome restaurant!! read more

Frankie's Casa was one of the best places I've ever eaten! These brisket enchiladas were absolutely amazing! I want to go back to try new things, but I could eat those forever, lol. Their chips and salsa were so good I bought some to go. The mangonada was delicious and very strong! I'm kind of a lightweight with alcohol, but I probably would have been very drunk if I'd ordered a 2nd one. My husband ordered an Enchilada trio that he really enjoyed as well. So good theres almost always a short wait for dinner, and they're so busy they had to build an outside patio t and expand the interior dining area to accommodate the community!! The service is spectacular - hosts and servers get to know regular customers but they're just as attentive to new as returning customers. The tea is served fresh, the margaritas are strong, the white queso is some of the best I've ever eaten, and their salsa is nearly impossible to quit eating! Top three dishes for me are the carne asada, Angie's enchiladas, and Agustin's enchiladas with queso and beef fajitas. The street corn is also delicious, lots of cream and cheese, and can be substituted as a side dish. The sopapillas and churros are also wonderful! Seriously though, every person I've ever eaten here with has thoroughly enjoyed their meals - theres something for everyone!! Wonderful experience. We stopped in when we were nearby on a rainy weeknight and we were seated immediately and served water and chips. I ordered the Tex mex numero 3 and it was delicious. The food came out very quickly and I really enjoyed the variety of items in the combo platter. I always prefer things like this so I get to try multiple menu items. None of these disappointed.
