He towed both, truck on tow vehicle - trailer in tow, to the dealership in Hermiston, and then dropped the trailer off at a local RV park. He was very professional, courteous and got us where we need to be as quickly as possible. It took him less time to solve our issue than it took for the insurance company to get him dispatched. He also listened to me explain the truck issue and mentioned that it was a common issue that could be resolved quickly by someone with mechanical skills. After researching his suggestion it was obviously the right solution. I appreciate the great service that he provided!

We were driving our new (used) Sprinter RV back home to Az. It ran well the first two days then…read morethe 3rd day it was running a little hot. I wasn't gonna go the Pendleton over the pass route, but my wife wasn't feeling well so we changed our plans to get home sooner. We got to Pendleton for an overnight. The next morning, I was intending to take it easy, keep the speed down, no AC, run the heater if necessary to get up and over to Boise and fix it there. Anyway, we started up the 3000 ft. elevation. We only got up two miles and it started overheating. The previous owner had just replaced the water pump and the thermostat(?) As I found out, No actually, he didn't! Who puts in a new water pump with an old thermostat? We called Good Sam for a tow back to town. It took a while, but got a trucking firm next to Wildhorse Casino. I felt secure knowing their reputation, it should be addressed quickly correctly. The tow guy showed up with his semi tow truck, WOW. He said he was gonna take a look 1st. He went at it and thought it might be the thermostat, as I did. He bypassed the electric fan for the radiator too, to stay on and keep it cool-er. He said run the heat full blast if it overheat, it did, and I did. We got back down the hill to "Truck's worth". They said surprisingly, it would be 7-10 days before they could touch it. Referred me to others for my small repair. It would have been nice to know that hours earlier and have it already setup. But no, I was just dismissed? [Now, Good Sam was at fault, knowing that we were in transit. Why did you send me there if they wouldn't be able to touch it for at least a week??] Devin the tow guy, made the effort to get me back to town and offered to put in the thermostat at least. It may not be the answer, but he didn't leave us hanging. said he would do it, if we ran in to trouble getting it done. Community business commerce is based on good work, fair pricing and a good reputation with your customers. Yes, your primary customers should be taken care always. So I don't totally fault Kenworth, oops! I blame Good Sam for not doing the whole job! If you need a tow of any size or to be rescued up on "Deadman's Pass." Call Devin at Taylor Towing and Recovery, he will get you back to town to get the work done. If he is not super busy because he knows how to provide service as part of the whole job!

After my original post .then getting home realize this is a shady shop and how the owner lies and…read moreripped me off . apparently only shop in one that don't go by book hours .he says he told me also he was charging me because my transmission was so greasy .I said wait you didn't spray with break cleaner if was that bad but he didn't do either.charged me 4.5 hrs for a 2 hr job by book rate .he still swears he told us other stuff .first we never spoke to him at all it was his daughter or whoever the lady at counter was .when I asked him stop making excuses and just admit he screwed a tourist he chuckled and that was end of conversation.im not done with him yet filling complaint with Oregon attorney general office .bbb really isn't nothing they won't fight for you but still gonna go that route .point is if your stranded in the area call someone else .also I'm legally disabled he feels good about screwing a disabled family my wife and youngest son disabled as well

He offered a ride (no place to rent a car in Pendleton and no public transportation anywhere else!) to Hermiston and offered to send my personal belongings home to me once it was determined my vehicle was to be totaled and then stored (there was too much to send) until I was able to pick up. Now what could be better than that? I overhead him on the phone to others. Very gracious to all even though he was short handed and exceedingly busy.
