So we needed a pre-flight meal and decided to try out F&Bs for lack of many other options. I've only eaten at a F&Bs once before which was when I first moved to Scotland. I couldn't remember that experience so was interested to see what it's like. This one is at the top of the stairs once you've been through security. It's kind of dark inside and the lighting really needs to be improved - in the booth we were sitting in, I actually felt like I was under an interrogation light. Anyway, we ended up ordering a starter to share and a main each. We got the chicken strips and I got the penne chicken and mushroom for main. I was also having some rosé wine because holidays. The chicken strips were good. I really liked this. I wish I had them as a main. My main was terrible. Probably the blandest meal I've ever eaten. Ever. It just didn't taste like anything. The cheese crumb just tasted like bread crumbs, I couldn't taste any cheese at all. It was a big fat meh. And a pretty expensive one too at £11. I should have complained but I couldn't be bothered. Upside of the meal was the chicken strips, they were good. I liked the rosé. Our waiter, Liam, was probably the MOST chipper person I've encountered at the airport and you could tell he took his job really seriously. Not in an annoying way, he was very professional, friendly and polite. He's the reason this is 3-stars and not two. Liam, you rock.

I stopped at F&B's at 4am right before I started my long journey home. The staff was warm, friendly, and professional and the food was outstanding. This was exactly what I needed before beginning a long international trip. The eggs Benedict is amazing and I highly recommend it.

    Skinny burger with zucchini fries

I've only been to Frankie & Benny's once before, and because of the stories i've heard about the whole franchise, it isn't exactly my idea of 'quality dining', but let me tell you, i was gobsmacked about the whole experience in the Glasgow Airport one! I chose the place, because out of all the others, it seemed to have the most healthy options (i was looking for low cal, but still a tasty meal). The waiter was really nice, chatty, welcoming; even consolidated a crying girl sitting a few tables from me.. I couldn't decide between their goats cheese salad or a skinny burger, which i mentioned, and i ended up getting the burger with zucchini fries - the waiter also had them add a wee extra bit of goats cheese with my salad just cus i couldn't decide earlier!! the taste was as expected, decent for a 'fast food' establishment such as Frankie & Benny's I had a few hours to kill before my flight, so i stayed and had a pick of their cocktail selection, which is also quite impressive. Ast got busier, the service still staid 5*, despite the waiter having about 5+ tables to keep an eye on. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience & i would definitely come back next time i've got time to spare at the airport! (only reason i gave it 4* in stead of 5* is cus i know a bit about how their kitchen works..)

    Avocado toast

We always ate here before it moved location and it became a bit of a tradition before we flew off on holiday. Unfortunately we had an overwhelmingly negative experience. Despite the restaurant being virtually empty we waited for a table. We then waited about fifteen minutes before a drinks order was taken. The ordering process took a very long time. Then the orders came up wrong, with three of the four breakfast being incorrect. There was no tomato juice for bloody Mary's, no hash browns, no irn bru (we were told but seen lots of people get irn bru after we asked). The avocado toast I ordered was just avocado smashed on a slice of ciabatta it was barely toasted. Definitely won't be coming back next time!

The restaurant offers a lunchtime deal of two courses for £10. I decided just to order off the menu however, as I didn't fancy the vegetarian option. To start I got the courgette fritters which were very tasty. For the main I plumped for the apple and mushroom stroganoff which was decent pub plain fare but not worth the £8 price tag in my opinion The Fox and Hound was the perfect place for a family lunch. We arrived with two babies in tow which was easily accommodated. My only other complaint is the fact that the restaurant closes between 3 and 5pm, leaving not much time to linger over a cup of tea.

I thought this place closed down as there were no current ratings for 2014. This pub is difficult to find after exiting off the main freeway but our group was able to find it with help from local businesses outside of Glasgow. This building is inviting and warm. Bought a pint of Houston Warlock and 1/2 pint of Killellen reasonably priced at about 3.5 pounds and 1.8 respectively. The flavor of the warlock was too bitter and dark but drinkable. The Killellen tasted as a pale ale should, tart and acidic. The microbrewery is located on the premise and you can purchase a case of beer to go. No shirts or hats for sale. :-). The carpet is unique as the fireplace and lounge area. Families do congregate here as well as the young folks who like to drink beer. The town of Houston is suburban and quiet. Lots of Mercedes and Porsches driving amongst the coaches and economy cars passing by. Hehehe Haven't tried the food but would come back for a pint of Guinness or Warlock.

The place was great. The rough guy behind the bar may or may not be one of those guys hired to throw fighting drunkards out onto the street, but if so, he was a friendly rough guy who could recommend the right beer along with the outstanding onion rings with a smile on his face and a description of their ingredients and preparation that was straight from a chef's school's creative menu-writing class by way of a genuine love for the establishment's own big circular fried veggies. Our waitress was a engaging, beautiful, well-rounded and very cheerful Sco'ish woman with equal enthusiasm for the burgers and beers on tap. Good service, all y'all! The beer recommended for my wife was a Czech Pilsner draft, Krusovice, a mass-market offering from Heineken that's tasty, if not very challenging. She said it was meh - but she was on the way to finishing the whole pint when I expressed surprise that she'd gone through more than a third of the glass, her usual place to stop. Either she liked it more than she let on, or the day's exertions led to a need for extra alcohol. Mine was a more-local-er IPA that I don't have the name of because I've been counting on the name being on the receipt and it isn't. Darn, because it was tasty and went well with the food and you should get that. So why should an American get a burger in Paisley, UK? I dunno. We were here to join an organized tour of northern Scotland, where we were promised all the Scottish food we cared to mange for the next week, and didn't really want to go overboard; plus, we'd been in Edinburgh the previous few days, and tried some of the local versions of lots of kinds of foods, so just wanted a quick somewhat-familiar bite as a respite. It was the right thing for us. Somewhat familiar, anyway. The burger was delicious, but ground a little differently, so not quite the same texture. It was singed on the crust (mmmm!) but cooked to medium-doneness in the inside (mmmm!). The roll was a beautiful, shiny egg-white-finished thing with excellent texture and an actual flavor of its own. We each got slightly different toppings; even though they had familiar American names, the outcome was just a little different - and seriously yummy. Get a hamburger or a cheeseburger! The fries were potato-y, perfectly done and very tasty. Skins on, peppered as well as salted, yum, get those. My onion rings were among the best I've ever tried, due to the wonderful beer batter. The sauce was OK, not great. Which brings us to ketchup. Heinz ketchup in the UK is just a little different from American Heinz. UK palates apparently appreciate a condiment that's slightly sweeter, with maybe a hind of cinnamon and maybe cardamom. I like it, but it's kind of a funny thing. Your tongue may expect one thing, but since it gets another, there may be some cognitive dissonance going on. Don't let your brain tilt to the "it ain't right" side! No! Gently, mindfully, pull it over to "Mmmmmm, this is good." Because it is. This isn't an American burger joint. It's a Paisley American burger joint. Dude, you're in Scotland. Enjoy it, it's good. Go there. BTW, the taxi stand is a few steps across the square next to the train station. It's about 5 - 6 pounds to the airport Holiday Inn, one pound cheaper than our Uber ride coming in - and the Uber driver was an asshole who gave us a lousy review, preventing us from getting the return trip. Whatever, dude. Sorry you're bitter that you lost your business, but might it be due to your attitude?
