    My dad uses this taxi occasionally to return home from Morrisons in Pontefract, and as we were…read morelooking for a taxi to take us to Manchester Airport on the 15th September on one of these journeys he asked about the airport run and was given a price of £360 for the return journey. I called the office and gave my number for the text confirmation and confirmed both flight details. On the 15th September I received a text and details of how to track the taxi which arrived on time. The driver was paid in full when we arrived at the airport. Upon arriving back on the 24th September I did not receive a text or any confirmation of the taxi which should have collected us at around 1250, at 1337 I called the office and the person who answered the phone appeared not to be aware of the booking and I could hear her saying to a colleague that the taxi hadn't arrived, she told me to ring back in 15 mins which I thought was strange, I called back and again the same person answered my call and told me that the taxi was stuck in traffic and was delayed so I asked her how long the delay was she told me she would contact the driver and let me know. (My son who works in traffic management checked the route and no hold ups were detailed). After a further 25 minutes at 1413 I called again and was not given any information about the taxis arrival, I kept calling every 15 minutes as by now it was over an hour late and my parents who are 84 and 86 were very distressed, my mum has dementia and my dad has mobility issues and had we been given the information about the arrival of the taxi I could maybe have taken them somewhere to sit down but did not want to miss the taxi. At 1441 I called again and I was told that I would have to call the taxi myself and was given his number so tried to call him at 1443 but the line was so bad I couldn't here him. The taxi driver said he had been trying to call me but I had no missed calls. Again no text to update me so we waited a further 15 mins and called again the taxi eventually arrived at 1510. I asked the taxi driver why he was late and he said his battery was flat that morning and he had been held up in traffic. To add to this the taxi driver said that he could not exit the car park without using one of our bank cards to pay-he gave us the cash. I again called the taxi office to speak to a manager and was told no one was available until Monday. I asked for more details and was finally told after much insistence that someone called Gaz owned the firm but they knew nothing else and could not contact him. At no point was I offered an apology or a reason for the delay and can only assume that the booking was not made and the taxi was not dispatched until after I had contacted to ask of its whereabouts. Your website says "Our vision is simple - providing reliable service each and every time....we are comprised of absolute professionals and attentive employees who share our company values" I wrote to Gaz with my concerns and have not had my emails responded to If I could give zero stars I would and am forwarding my complaint to Wakefield council.

    I ordered a taxi this morning to take me to work, first of all the driver was late, second of all…read morehe was extremely rude and he made me feel very uncomfortable. We got to my work and I gave him the money and he told me the note was fake (my mum gave me the money) I had nothing else to give him so he told me he would check it. I went into work and I thought he would leave it, but an hour later he came back in and confronted me about it. I was serving customers at the time so I got my supervisor because this man was making me feel intimidated. My boss ended up telling him to leave because he wasn't very pleasant. Luckily my manager had some money to give him so he'd leave, I've never had an experience like that and it's safe to say it's put me off getting taxis again. My mum did ring Action Cars and they did apologise but that doesn't make how he acted right. I've never been made to feel like that at work before. I'm never using action cars again.
