The paths are well marked and wide. There are benches along the paths. There are picnic tables and water fountains on the island. The trails are appropriate for most abilities. The island is well shaded. There are a few butterfly statues which make for a nice photo op. You catch the shuttle boat at Sullivan Park, it runs on the hour between 10 and three Friday through Sunday. Parking is convenient ( and free) in the large lot. If you have children you could also visit Sullivan Park. Local lore has it that Al Capone buried some treasure here although it has never been found. You can see all the island in about an hour but could make a day of it with a picnic lunch.

This Park is THE BEST in the area!…read more My kids absolutely love it & so do I! The playground is beautiful constructed both for younger & older children. There are so many different options of activities to park take in. Some options: Adult workout area, picnic tables, kayak launching area and a wonderful walking trail. If that isn't enough this park also has a few tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts and volleyball. Including clean restrooms, cover pavilions and cameras in the parking lot. Do not forget the ample parking. If you are local and have yet to visit, I highly recommend doing so!

There is a large parking lot, you don't have to pay but you need to register your license plate on the parking app. You can walk under the bridge to the Cove restaurant and plaza. There is a splash pad for the kids and a jungle gym in the covered playground area. There is a pavilion you can rent. The park is opened from dawn to midnight. Pets are not allowed in the park.

For earth day and for a milestone review, this is the park I chose to go to. We were not far away…read moreand I was curious to explore the area. I could easily live in this park. You'd never know it was here -- right along the intracoastal waterway -- unless you lived in this neighborhood. It's not the easiest to find as it's set back amongst the expensive homes, boats, marinas, and winding streets of Lighthouse Point. But it's well worth a trip to find it. There's not that much man made entertainment here -- no bbq grills or tennis courts or basketball nets or swing sets. What it does have is natural beauty and spectacular water views. There's a paved path to the middle and around the edge as well as some sandy paths. There are several spaces to park your car just outside the fence. Inside the fence is a bike rack. To the left of the entrance is the butterfly garden. And yes, we did see some colorful orange butterflies when we went -- but they were too fast (or shy?) for pictures. There are flowers -- yellow ones (sorry I don't know their name) and a number of green ones planted to attract the flying beauties. To the right of the entrance is a lovely large white Jasmine flowering bush. Heavenly scented. Inside the park are wide green expanses under the trees and several tented pavilions where you can rest and read or just contemplate nature. There is a bat house on a tall pole -- the bats eat mosquitos and are encouraged to visit, but I doubt there's one in residence. There was an empty bird house high up on a tree, too. There is an exercise area with instructions telling you what to do. But no one was using it. There's a sandy area with many coconut palms (and coconuts on the ground) and sea grape bushes that lead right down along the water. You could even dip a toe in if you're adventurous -- or just pull up a towel and sun bathe. In any case, along the water you get to see all the sail and speed boats passing by. And hear a soft lap as the water meets the shore. Such a nice respite from the hubbub noise of civilization. It was a welcome quiet space to rest and relax -- to get away and enjoy Mother Nature. So, come here -- and make every day Earth Day!

It Has everything and more. picnic areas, tables and grills, nature trails, kids learning exhibits, playgrounds, merry go round. Indoor and outdoor basketball courts. Plenty of baseball fields. I have never seen so many fields in one park. Impressive! Clean fun environment for all to enjoy. Nothing but the best fun. Come and experience a special park. It's a winner. When it reopens later this summer you will be able to visit by picking up a free shuttle from Sullivan Park. Deerfield Inlet Park has a place to park and one bench which is the perfect place to sit and watch the boats go by. There is also a life ring that you can throw in the intracoastal if you see someone drowning. This park also has a Pandanus Utilis tree, also called common screw pine. It is actually not a pine tree at all, but is a monocot. The tree is native to Madagascar. I usually see them in botanical gardens. Hanging from the branches of the tree are softball sized spiky balls. It turns out you can eat them after cooking. I saw a video on the internet where the inside is pureed and turned into a dessert. Squirrels enjoy them too. The leaves of the tree can be dried and rolled into mats. In coastal areas like this, the trees can help prevent erosion. There isn't a lot here but if you just want a peaceful place to sit and watch the water or fish, this hidden spot is a great place to discover.

I even saw a nurse shark and a sea turtle. There's benches to sit on and a playground for the kids or kids at heart. Many people enjoy this as a walking destination with or without dogs. People are friendly and say hello. You may even strike up a conversation while there. Fishing is not allowed here.

If you're coming here specifically for the pickleball courts, there's a good amount. When we came, it looks seemed like the followed the play format of four on, four off where a new team of four comes onto the court everytime, so playtime goes by kind of fast and everyone gets a chance to play. I'm sure it tends to change with crowds but I found this useful for a big crowd. They also have paddle holders so you can organize who's up next. Although a bit crowded, we got to play two games before heading out. Located super close to a bathroom and right next to a gazebo/pavilion plus small playground. Overall, great park to play at!

There is a boat ramp so you can get your watercraft onto the canal and a fishing pier. Parking is free for boat trailers. This is a great place to boat, fish, and bird watch. During my visit I saw an osprey dive into the canal for fish and a limpkin on the pier. Other park amenities include restrooms, a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a sand volleyball pit, and a fitness trail with 12 exercise stations. Several small pavilions and a large main pavilion can be rented by Deerfield Beach residents from the city for a fee. I closed my exercise ring today using the fitness trail and some of the stations. It's nice to see the kids out again using the playground equipment after so many months of it being closed. This is a great spot to enjoy the best of South Florida's weather.
