Horrific experience that epitomizes why it is so important for potential buyers to educate themselves on the ways dealerships sneak in fees and profits throughout the entire process and why buyers need to be prepared to walk away when red flags fly. I can see why the CT5-V Blackwing I was interested in has been sitting on their lot since December 16th - more than a month - and for a Blackwing, that's absolutely unprecedented for anything but a Le Monstre, especially for a Blackwing with an MSRP of "only" $105,680. This is where it pays to do your research. I not only inquired with the dealership about the vehicle over a month ago (when it was already physically on the lot), but I also paid for the Carfax report to confirm that it had been there since December 16th. So, when they tried to claim today (January 22nd) that it had only been there for a week or two and had previously been in transit, I knew it was a blatant lie. In my first interactions with the dealership last month, I called to inquire about the vehicle and was promised a call back. I did not get one, and instead got a salesman who only texted and emailed me telling me the "fees" totaled about $1500 and they were unwilling to waive their 1% fee that is explicitly advertised on their website as an OPTIONAL sales service fee. I decided to instead move forward with a custom order in my own state that would not require me to pay the 1% fee, transportation costs, etc. Not to call out who this person was, but "Oliver sucks" is literally a catchphrase in my neighborhood now. A month later, I see the car is still available and contacted Oliver letting him know when I'd be in town. He tells me that it is still available, but that was it. No offer to meet. Nothing. Ahem: Oliver sucks. Fortunately, I received a response from somebody else almost immediately when I submitted a request for a test drive online and she offered to come in on her day off to show me the vehicle. She was wonderful - she let me know when she needed to move the appointment, confirmed the appointment the day we were supposed to meet, and was just lovely.... And THAT is how you sell me a car. Or so I hoped. Now, I arrive at the dealership with financing in order and check in hand (since they said out of state buyers HAD to finance). I am literally a guaranteed sale so long as everything is on the up and up. The fees were again estimated at $1500, which I had them break them break down because dealerships inflate fees and I was very clear that this was a pet peeve of mine. There were charges that could be taken off, but they insisted that they could not change them because that was what their system showed for my out of state registration. Mind you, the finance manager herself broke the fees down for me. In writing. Of course the finance manager later came back claiming that the fees happen to have now climbed by about $1000 to $2000 because of the third party registration they use (if you can do basic math, you know an addition from $1500 to $2000 is $500 and not $1000). That was foreseeable on their part, and should have been included with the very first fee estimate. But they didn't anticipate a mathlete nerd capable of doing basic math and instead tried to swindle me REPEATEDLY, then saying I had to pay for BOTH the $1500 fee and the $2000 fee, raising the fees to $3500 (a $2000 increase... not a $1000 increase). Even after they "lowered the sales price to make up for the increase in fees," it came out to $773.40 ABOVE what they originally quoted for add on fees. When the finance manager had the absolute gall to ask, "but it's only a couple hundred dollars above what you agreed to - are you really going to walk away over that?!," I made sure to say, "yes, I am." Took my vehicle to the wrap shop Custom Koncepts that does all their wraps and ppf as suggested by the dealer. Pretty unprofessional and doesn't care. I might be that the family who owns it just sold their dealer group and doesn't care about anything any more. Had to follow up 4 times for a quote, took about 3 weeks to get. They are uninterested to ppf a 4x6 flat panel that is newly wrapped with vinyl next door. When they told me they walked up with the largest entitlement I have ever seen. I think they should really start valuing their customers and employees instead of themself. Highly suggest finding a different vendor read more

Poor customer service, unethical performance from Mgt John Ware Worked with Corey Sessions and sales MGt John Ware. Last week 9-19-24 made a deal with Mgt John ware for purchase of a 2022 Escalade ESV platinum with 11K miles. John stated Corey sales consultant will handle the paper work ASAP. By Friday morning 9-20-24 I still have not received anything from Corey. I reached out to Corey directly and verified the deal that was made with Mgt John Ware and to send credit so we can process information. Corey early afternoon did send credit app and purchase agreement and we filled it out immediately and sent back to dealership Friday morning the 20th. My score is a 826. Friday the 20th mid afternoon I was contacted by a financial person stating everything was approved and the dealership will be sending paper work directly to me, and they will be in contact with me by the end of the day Friday. I followed up early Monday afternoon with Corey as I did not hear from the dealership Friday evening as stated previously. Corey then informed me that this vehicle was sold to somebody else for a higher price. I displayed to Corey my dissatisfaction and their unethical performance as a dealership. I was referred to them for a warranty issue. It is still under the Chevy bumper to bumper warranty and is a check engine light/emissions issue. I bought it a carmax with 9700 miles on it. 2022 chevy Trax. So I called and explained the issue (it contractually has to go to a dealer for repair). I was told any chevy ,GMC or Cadillac dealer will be ok. When I called and talked to scheduling and a service manager for more than 20 minutes, it was decided I would be scheduled 5 weeks out and be given a loaner vehicle. I have to have a loaner to get to work as the diagnostics would take min 3 days. I showed up this morning for my appt and was told first that the loaner did not come back this weekend and they don't have any more for me to use. Then the story changed to say they do have some, but they are only for Cadillac customers, not chevy customers. And especially not people who purchased a car at CARMAX! Horrors! They were willing to look at the car and possibly give me a ride somewhere, but that's it. I waited 5 weeks for this appointment because it was made WITH a LOANER in good faith on my part. They should have honored it instead of the arrogance and rudeness I encountered. I now am approximately 4 more weeks out at a local Chevy dealer. Naturally once the car was ready I took a look at the undercarriage where I notice a fresh gouge on the lower control arm. i purchased a vehicle in November 2024 from Frank Kent in fort worth. I also purchased the extended warranty just in case something was wrong with the vehicle. It was cold outside and no way to check to see if the Air was blowing cold. Two days later, it was warm. I went back and forth attempting to get the truck repaired. The extended warranty wouldn't cover it because they said the dealership said they wanted to cover it. After a few weeks in the shop waiting for approval, and a manager avoiding me. Events between 12/06/2024 and 01/03/2025 In looking at the work performed, I see where I was over charged for unauthorized work. The original estimate was $2,459.98 and the revised estimate was $3,691.17, a difference of $1,231.19. The original and understood diagnosis was that I had a torn boot on P/N 23462000 right lower control arm, and I acknowledged this. When I came to pick up my car, I found that the mechanic had replaced the other three, both rear lower control arms on both the left and right sides P/N 23462008 and P/N 23462009 respectively and the P/N 23462001 lower front control arm on the left side. I inspected these parts at the dealership and these parts did not show any wear and were still sealed and no boots torn. This was unauthorized work that cost me $486.41 for these three parts alone. Only the right arm (damaged boot) I knew that replacing this control arm would not require a front-end wheel alignment as it does not affect the alignment and is non-adjustable, but they performed one anyway at no cost to me. Fortunately, I was able to talk to the Service Manager, and he assessed the situation and provided me with a credit for $486.41 for future work I might need. For the same visit, it was discovered that I had a coolant leak coming from the P/N 25201459 Water outlet a $195.14 priced part. The seal was leaking as this part is a one-piece part and there are no signs that this part was cracked. This repair should have cost me the seal P/N 12664202 at $4.69 and an approximately 3-inch rubber tube. I originally entered service for an oil leak coming from the Vacuum Pump, P/N 12686657 which cost $176.72. I appeared to be coming from a bad gasket P/N 12654112 costing $111.52. I am not sure if there is a test for the vacuum pump, but it did not exhibit any problems other than this gasket leak. The mechanic said the whole Vacuum pump had to be replaced. If this is the case, the gasket is typically supplied with the new Vacuum pump. I picked the car up and discovered that the oil leak persisted. I had to take it back to them about after one week passed and was scheduled the following week for the follow up repairs for the leak. In addition, I found where the Mechanic had scratched two side door appliques panels which would cost approximately $500.00 to replace. 01/03/2025 Unethical Mechanic: I wrote to the Service Manager: "I understand the job is just about completed with the oil leak, but I have a problem. The P/N 12655386 Fuel Pump Insulator had to be removed and reinstalled to correct the oil leak, but your mechanic is wanting to charge me $474.00 to replace it with the one I pointed out to you in the back seat to use. It is a new one which should not require a charge if it must be reinstalled anyway". The Mechanic was trying the make more money than was reasonable as I would have never paid that much for just that one single repair anyway. Once I returned and picked up the car, I inspected under the hood to see if the mechanic had placed everything back in order. I also inspected the repair for the oil leak. It looked like the mechanic stopped the leak as of this writing but used some type of sealant. This was the second look at what should have taken just one time to fix. This repair requires the Mechanic to remove and replace one seal and one gasket, but it appears he forgot or took a chance on just replacing one gasket and not the seal, thus was probably the reason it persisted to leak. Time will tell if he replaced the correct seal with the vacuum pump as it is undetectable from an external view, until it starts back to leaking that is. In addition, as I inspected the return of my vehicle on 01/03/2025 and the radio had been tuned on to someone's favorite radio station as they were joyriding during the test drive, as if it was their personal car. There is no transparency between the customer and the mechanic and the interface with the mechanics and the service advisor is weak at best. The mechanic seems to set the pace as to what gets repaired and mostly how much money they can make. I am a certified Federal Aviation Administration mechanic and certified ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 Auditor and have a keen sense of bad practices when they present themselves. Bottom line is, I might purchase a vehicle from Frank Kent but would not have it serviced there, now under any circumstance. Horrible service, in 2022 I took my car to get some seatbelt parts, at the time the parts weren't available so they charged me $400 dollars for the parts and they told me since they didn't have them they were going to look for them online and once ready they would contact me. Months went by with no news about the parts, I kept checking in and asking and all I would get told is that they haven't found the parts. I spoke with a worker in the parts department in 2023 and was told that they still hadn't found the parts and that if they somehow couldn't get them that I could just go back and get a refund. It's been 2 years already and I finally had enough. I called them to get the refund and to my surprise was told that they had no records of me paying the $400 dollars. Nearly purchased a CT5-V from them until they pulled the plug. Dalton was personable at first and the whole team was johnny-on-the-spot until I started asking questions; especially their financing manager, Gwen. I sensed they were starting to balk at the deal as soon as I said I didn't want to use their ridiculous financing. Dalton came back and stated "We will not be discounting the vehicle nor allowing outside financing." When I said I'd be paying cash, the next email was that the car was no longer available. Interesting... Because prior to stating my intention to my own-funding, Dalton said "The keys are in my pocket" when I asked how quickly I have to move on this and offered to wire 25% of the cost of the car immediately to hold. Went into get my spark plugs replaced, spark plug wires checked, check fluids, and rotate tires. Tire rotation was a flat $20, no additional labor cost. Nothing else. Was charged $452.20. FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS. FOR CHANGING THE SPARK PLUGS. I was expecting it to be expensive because it's a dealership, but that's more than double what I anticipated for just changing the spark plugs. Yes, I can change them myself, but it's part of the scheduled maintenance and I always do it at the dealer for warranty purposes. I questioned it because I was in utter SHOCK. The service advisor, Danny Dreier never even came out to talk to me. Another woman, I don't remember her name came out to talk to me. I told her it was an absurd price for just changing the spark plugs. Three can be accessed without even removing the intake plenum. She said she had no idea how much it was supposed to even cost and went to talk to my service advisor. She came back and told me that it was correct and there was nothing she could do. Then they tried to tell me that they recommended that I needed to change cabin and engine air filters, a coolant system flush, power steering flush, brake flush, transmission flush, and service the throttle body. My car has less than 100,000 miles on it. LESS THAN 10,000 miles ago I already changed the cabin and engine air filter, had a transmission flush, a coolant system flush AT FRANK KENT CADILLAC WITH THE SAME SERVICE ADVISOR DANNY DREIER. Not only that, but that time I scheduled my own appointment stating SPECIFICALLY what I needed done and said DO NOT CHANGE THE OIL because it was just changed. The morning of my appointment someone went into my service appointment and changed it to an oil change appointment. When I arrived I told the person who comes to your car before you get out DO NOT CHANGE THE OIL and that someone changed my appointment. I still have the email that an advisor changed my appointment BEFORE I even showed up to the dealership. Danny Dreier still had an oil change performed on my car and tried to charge me for it. I don't know if they just didn't expect me to read what was done to my car before I paid or what. They did refund my money for the oil change. Danny Dreier is a service advisor - which is just a salesman - and he is CROOKED. Do not let him be your service advisor. Explicitly state EXACTLY what you want done and do not let them convince you to do any maintenance that isn't stated in your car manual. Carefully read the paperwork before you pay. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt the first time and got screwed over the second time as well. My guess is that Danny Dreier wanted a bigger commission from my service. The cost of the spark plugs was $78.60 and they charged $353.97 for labor. That's outrageous. Even for a dealership. The last time I was there I changed the cabin air filters, engine air filter, transmission flush, coolant system flush, and transmission flush. The labor to perform all of those things: $188.40. Five things performed labor $188. Change the spark plugs - labor $354. Makes ZERO sense Frank Kent Cadillac tell you multiple times they are a "family-owned" business, but they do not have family-owned values. Very disappointed. read more

The service can be expensive here, but if you are a costco member, this is one of their approved auto program sites and you can receive 15% off parts and service. With the discount, it has turned out to be a better deal than the regular auto shop I go to. Scheduling appointments is a breeze here and I've never had an issue with them not answering the phone. The waiting room is very comfortable with many chairs and sofas to choose from. They have four TVs and a kid's playroom. There are plenty of magazines to look at. Since my last visit, they added more snacks. It used to just be carrots and hummus, but now they added jelly beans, sesame sticks, a rice cracker mix, and some peppermint candies. They still have tea and coffee. If you really want to get fancy, you can sample some wine in the wine room. They currently have a clearance sale. As long as the weather is not too cold, your car will get a wash after service. Frank Kent may not always have the best price on something, so make sure to shop around. Hopefully they do, so you can enjoy the comfortable wait room. read more

DO NOT buy at this dealership. If I could give them minus 5 stars I would. I bought a 2016 CT6 from them a couple of years ago. I have had it in the service department 5 times and they are enormously hard to work with. This being the fifth time at the service department the adaptive cruise is out and went out about 30 days ago. Also the radio display screen in the dash will either go on and off or is just dead for hours at a time. Over a week ago a service advisor called and told me that the sensor on the bumper is out "do to impact" and they didn't mention that to GM so they can cover it and the sensor is on backorder and will take 4-6 weeks. They can't replicate the radio issue so can't do anything about it. The radio had the exact same issue before and they replaced the electronic portion of it and it has worked for a year. I explained this to him and had him look at the service history and he says oh yeah I see that I will get back to you. Flash forward a week and no calls. I call to inquire and am told after waiting on hold for 7 minutes they talked to GM and the radio issue is a known issue that needs a software update and that could take months. WHAT! Next I ask him about the sensor for the cruise and now he says that it was caused by damage and can't be repaired under my warranty and not only does the sensor need to be replaced but the grille as well. Price tag $2000. The damage they are eluding to is my brushing a tree limb that was down over a year ago that did NO damage to the car and the cruise has worked for a year and only failed about 30 days ago. Disappointed in the low quality of initial service, poor communication and amateur sales experience displayed by the salesman, Ray Bosquez with Frank Kent Cadillac. I am from the Dallas area and recently moved to another state for work; however, I wanted to travel back to town to purchase a new 2023 Cadillac Escalade from this dealership and have it shipped back to my home. When I initially made contact with Ray Bosquez I communicated all of these details to him about the vehicle and my plans to fly in over the weekend to purchase. I expressed that my goal was to set up an appointment with him and understand everything that I needed to do prior to making travel arrangements and booking my flight. I made sure he was aware that I had been looking for this vehicle for a while and had already received a check from my bank, navy federal, for financing which would make the process quick and easy. Upon receiving all of this information, Ray Bosquez, confirmed all sounded good and that I just needed to let him know time of arrival once my travel arrangements were made. So, I contacted Ray the next morning to follow up and make sure there was nothing else I needed to do prior to making travel plans, he only stated I needed to send him a copy of my insurance. I told him I would do that and proceed to book my flight, I then forwarded him all of the details and set the appointment for my arrival. So, fast forward to about 3 hours later I receive a phone call from Ray Bosquez stating that he forgot to tell me that I would have to use their financing since I am an out of state customer, I told him that I have never experienced that before because being that I move around for work I have purchased from other dealerships using financing from my bank before without any issues, he mentioned that this was something that ONLY this dealership does. I was frustrated and furious because I communicated all specifics to him and asked if there was anything I needed to do prior to making travel arrangements, so at this point you have FAILED as a salesman and Inconvenienced me as a buyer. Also, I may have been open to adjusting my plans and using their financing; however, all of this was communicated without any apology for failing to tell me what I think is essential information for the buyer and the fact that I was traveling in from out of state. This is very disappointing being that I am a loyal Cadillac customer and from the area. I would not recommend Ray Bosquez or Frank Kent Cadillac... Do Better! read more

We were overwhelmed with Outstanding customer service the moment we walked in the door. Our kids were welcomed with snacks and drinks while we waited. They were not pushy or annoying- only Quick and honest. My husband is probably one of the pickiest people with vehicles and does his homework before even visiting a dealership and even for him it was a smooth stress free experience. I have spent thousands on service and body work with Frank Kent. My last two times in, they have refused to accept my personal check because some internet service they have says my account is "too new" and "the check numbers are too low". The service manager could over-ride this and accept my check as a sign of trust and acknowledgment of the relationship I thought I had with them over the years. However, they apparently don't care, and don't trust me, so why would I continue to take my business there???? There are too many other places around that do Cadillac work and have MUCH better customer service. read more

I live in California and found my AMAZING 2016 Cadillac CTS V Sport online. I reached out that night and Lester reached out first thing the next morning. I told him what I wanted to do and he was more than happy to help. I was using a local credit union which increased the complexity along with navigating the emission regulations in California. Lester was extremely helpful and even answered my questions on his day off. Once I flew in and arrived at the dealer the car was sparkling and ready to go. I was in and out if there in less than an hour. I live 18 hours away by car but I will definitely take a look at Frank Kent's inventory before I shop anywhere else. Don't bother to go here I sent emails looking at a used truck these folks had. I asked if it was available where I got a response from 2 people I responded to jd and the following day left work early with the intentions of buying a new vehicle. Called the rep when I got there started to discuss the truck asked if I could see it drive etc. he stated he would have to go find it since it was such a huge lot that I could wait in the lobby. Stood in the lobby where nobody approached me to see if I was being helped nothing I understood to some degree as I wasn't dressed to be in a Cadillac dealership apparently. The salesman came back asking where I lived immediately I knew great instead of trying to act like it mattered if he sold the truck or not he had the information of where the truck was. Apparently it was in Corsicana and I came up there for no reason. The salesman made little to no effort to try could care less apparently I was pre approved and ready to buy like I thought I was from my bank. He stated well I might be able to get it back Monday I said if you do call me let me know nothing I have received no call no feedback nothing I truly hope this place has to auction this truck and I'll have someone buy it from the auction. It's sad that since I came from work I was treated as I couldn't afford this truck but yet the last that asked to see if a Escalade came in a color 5 people helped her. Then a I received an email from the internet manager Ashley I believe asking how it went I responded the same thing here and no response so I'll look elsewhere. I came here because my check engine light was on. They fixed it supposedly... $1400, 1 month and less than 500 miles later my check engine light is back on for the same issue. They had the audacity to try to charge me for the same thing again. If you have a Cadillac just go to Sewell, I wasted my time and money dealing with shady mechanics and an unresponsive and uncaring Service Advisor named Danny. BEWARE!!! read more
