THEY RESTRAINED my grandson by buckling his w/c.. but don't know why it was buckled .. he had one shoe and one sock on. we don't know how that happened. but do you know whats not really legal in the way of education and HEALTHCARE? buckling anyone that doesnt want to be buckled. it's right up there with putting a brakes on a w/c. that's a HUGE no no..... i would like someone to look into this situation. and respond back to krissyslife@gmail.com thank you.

Scheduling can be frustrating, I've been called to reschedule in the past but fortunately not for this visit. We had 8:40am and 9:30am appointments (back to back) and got here at 8:30am. Kiddos didn't get called back till almost 9am and most times we've come we have to wait 10-20min so be prepared to wait. The office has fun decor for the kids. Mostly superhero figures and a neat dental cartoon graphic in the waiting room.

The thing I love most about this place is that everyone talks to you like a human being, not down to you. They understand you have a life outside of what you're there for. They're always very clear in their instruction and easy-going in mannerisms. I've joked that visiting here is like going to the spa for me (with needles.) The most amazing part is seeing my teeth after all the hard work these ladies have put in. Half my teeth had/have the old silver fillings in them from 20+ years ago and now when I open my mouth, the bottom half looks pristinely white(ish. Being honest here. The only time I ever had actual pearly whites was when I was a tot.) But you can't tell they're fillings in there. Still not done with my treatment plan and won't be until next year, but I can happily say I haven't once regretted coming to Island Family Dental. My kids and husband are now seen here as well and we've all had fantastic experiences every single time. I can't thank Dr. Newkirk and her team enough for all their hard work and long hours spent on me.

The shade of my crown was spot on, so I commend him for that. However, it did not fit well, and the neighboring tooth was damaged during the grinding process. I just went back today to see what my options were, and he conceded to redo the crown, "To make me happy," even though he thought it was fine. I'm not sure I want to try again, to be honest. I also experienced a cleaning from this office, and it was absolutely the worst one of my life. I didn't even get a toothbrush as a consolation prize. ;) On the plus side, they are great about texting and have a prompt and accurate email automation set up.

They fit me in within 4 days. Could've been 1 but my schedule didn't allow. The office is beautiful and comfortable. The staff is so welcoming and kind. Dr Thomas is absolutely wonderful. He was so gentle kind and compassionate. They were so transparent. Laid out several different options for treatment plans. They were not pushy at all. Allowed me to make my decision and then were able to immediately do the treatment. On top of all that they have such reasonable and affordable pricing. Despite all of that baggage, Dr. Arlauskas has never once treated me with anything less than dignity, patience, and genuine care. He has never judged me, never made me feel bad, and has never scolded or shamed me in the way that so many dental providers have done in the past. Dr. A is fun, personable, professional, and unwaveringly consistent. He remembers the human element in every interaction. He always does things the right way while making sure he goes above and beyond the basic standard of care, and is all around a truly kind, present person... I've had a significant amount of work done by him and I've never been disappointed no matter how nitpicky I am.
