Everyone from the front desk staff to insurance verification was quick and easy. My Insurnace was even verified before I arrived for my first appointment. Dr. Godwin was thorough and caring during my new patient exam and the X-Ray tech was gentle and patient with me. After my first visit I had a detailed treatment plan and got lucky and was able to schedule my fillings and cleaning for the following day. Kandiss was my hygienist and was caring and thorough. The assistant to Dr. Godwin ensured that the numbing was complete before I received any shots and for the first time I didn't even feel them. The work Dr. Godwin performed for my filings is amazing. They are perfectly smooth and unnoticeable. Overall I had an excellent experience and highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring and efficient office. This was by far the best experience I've had with any dentist since moving to the Carolina's 8 years ago.

The dentist I saw was incredibly kind and thorough. She conducted a comprehensive checkup to ensure there were no signs of infection or inflammation, and even ordered a CT scan of my teeth to make sure nothing was missed. After discussing the numbness and its progression, she gently suggested that it might be Bell's Palsy. However, to rule out the very slight chance of a stroke, she advised me to have someone take me to the emergency room immediately. The staff were all extremely kind and professional, and they asked only that I call and update them on my condition after my ER visit. I felt genuinely cared for, and I believe that level of care is the best any industry can offer its customers. Oh and it is Bell's Palsy. I should be right as rain in a few weeks to a few months.

On Thursday Dec 21st 2023 my husband called them and said he had an emergency and was in horrible pain. Their response sorry we have nothing until mid- January. Excuse me this is an emergency? Please ask Dr. Moody if he can squeeze me in.... came back..sorry we have nothing available until mid January. No recommendations for another dentist...nothing. This is the second time we have had a tooth emergency and they couldn't be bothered. Luckily, we reached out to another local dentist...who welcomed my husband in that day. We found out that his tooth was crack all they way to the root. They tried to save the tooth and put a temporary cap on it. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible and on Sunday morning Christmas Eve the dentist came in and pulled his tooth.

The office is nice and the front desk staff is professional and knowledgeable. They helped me get everything set up for my new patient appointment. The new patient visit is so THOROUGH! The hygienist Ms.Keisha was amazing! She not only cleaned and flossed my teeth better than anywhere else but she taught me new techniques. The difference between M&M's practice and that of the dentist in Knoxville is like night and day. Dr. Mallette is very kind and attentive, he makes sure he understands the patient and that the patient understands him. I just received my new dentures and though I am breaking them (myself) in right now, I know these are going to fit and work much better than the last set. I am glad to finally find a dentist firm to go to and be happy with. They were also great in helping me work through the darn Medicare/Medicaid requirements and procedures.

Front Desk & First Impressions: The front desk receptionist was warm, friendly, and charming. The lobby was cute with light music playing which is a nice touch for someone whose nerves were already plotting an escape. The wait time was short, and I was called back quickly. The restroom was clean! Dental Assistant & Dentist: The dental assistant was very kind and personable, though I wasn't my usual chatty self since it was early and I was on a tight schedule. After X-rays, the dentist came in, introduced herself, and asked thorough preliminary questions. I especially appreciated her sensitivity in making sure my chipped tooth wasn't the result of any unsafe circumstance. Before I knew it, she reclined the chair and began working. My heart was racing, my palms were sweaty, and I was moments away from calling for a timeout-but suddenly, she was done. Quick, efficient, and practically magical. Things I Didn't Love: I wasn't a fan of the music playing during the appointment. I also didn't enjoy being approached mid-appointment by a receptionist requesting payment before treatment. While I understand the business perspective, having completed all paperwork online, checked in, and provided my insurance card, l assumed payment at the end would have been sufficient. Quality of Work: Despite the minor hiccups, I was very pleased with the actual dental work. My tooth looked great. Second Visit - Even Better I returned for a second visit on Thursday and received the same warm greeting and short wait time. This time, jazz was playing this is an immediate improvement and I have zero complaints. I met the dental hygienist, Amika, who was incredibly gentle and completed a thorough assessment of my mouth, including bitewing X-rays. I also really appreciated the diversity within the staff, which made me feel even more comfortable and welcomed. I met with Dr. Smalls again to create a dental plan that genuinely feels customized and solution focused- truly living up to the name Smile Solutions!

Still in pain, went back and treated for a high bite. Still in pain 2 weeks after, find out I need a root canal, on the same tooth after 10 xrays were taken. The practice utilized all of my insurance allowance. I was told Dr Miller, the owner that drilling thru the new cap was "more complex" than his abilites so i was referred to an outside surgeon. Yes, i was asked to cough up another 1.8K as they dont take insurance. Still in pain with no insurance and either pay 1.8K or have the new crown pulled. Great position they left me with. AVOID THIS PRACTICE if you want good dental healthcare.
