Just an ok, it's very narrow, deep block that makes you feel a bit cramped. Also a bit pricy for the food and service that you get.

*****Hands down BEST Mexican in the Sutherland Shire!*****…read more The Big Mexican Rancho is the sister restaurant to the late and great restaurant Fiesta Mexicana, which was situated in Carlton and was our favourite Mexican restaurant in Sydney! As a result of Fiesta Mexicana closing down we did the next best thing and started going to The Big Mexican Rancho in Gymea Bay! The Big Mexican Rancho is a family business, owned and operated by Javier and Nelcy Rojas and has existed in its current location for over 20 years. We came here as a family quite a few times growing up but always preferred the food at Fiesta Mexicana. Transitioning back to The Big Mexican Rancho was however, super easy as I have a sneaky suspicion that some of the cooks from Fiesta Mexicana are now working here because the food is PHENOMENAL! Hot Tips- Some Favourite Menu Options: *Stuffed Jalapeños *Chorizo Sausage *Chilli Con Carne *Deluxe Nachos *ABOVE ALL: You must try their dips!! I always get 3 in 1: Salsa Chilli Con Queso Bean Drinks: *The restaurant is BYO, however if you ask they do make a mean Sangria! Atmosphere: *Always warm and friendly *If you are lucky on your birthday you may even be able to wear a Sombrero! *Bring some coloured pencils and take over the paper table cloth with your wicked drawings and Noughts & Crosses! Book ahead: *It gets super busy on Saturday so a booking is a must!

Def need to make a reservation, even if it is only for 2 people. We had an 8:30 sitting and the…read moreplace was packed. So much so that we were seated at a table right near the front door almost on top of another table of 4. The waitresses were mainly teenage girls. As you can imagine the service was not the best. However, the food was good. The portion sizes were very filling. My husband and I ordered the 3 in 1 dip, small nachos and each had the enchilada and taco as the main. We didn't finish any of them, that's how big they were. The 3 dips were definitely too much for two people. Better suited for a table of 4 or more. All alcohol is BYO. Drinks are served in Mason jars which was cool. Typical Mexican restaurant decor. Pretty loud and a lot of families with young children. Didn't try dessert as we were stuffed. Would definitely go back as this place has the most authentic Mexican food we have tried in the shire.

The food here is clean & surprisingly vibrant. I found the menu to possess a unique imaginative flare; a welcome salute to modern Mexican cuisine. My friend & I dined here for lunch, both ordering the Chef prepared Lunch Board for a cool $16. We also ordered a starter of Salmon Ceviche to share. The Lunch Board included 2 tacos of our choice (we both opted for the slow braised pork), one of their famous corn lollipops, guacamole, salsa, sour cream & serving of their three bean dip, finished with a serve of corn chips. A pretty epic deal really. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, rolling out the door full & satisfied. What else can you ask for? A great, new addition to Westfield Miranda. Bravo!

Anyway I came and check it out, a bit feel to nibbles Something light. The lady host was super friendly and greet me at the door asking if I wanted to seat al fresco or dining inside, asked if I have allergic and gave window period for me to read and choose from the menu and approached me for order. Well, I did ordered as following: 1. slow roasted pork taco with chilli caramel salsa 2. Achiote chicken with salsa macha, 3. Corn lollipops with chipotle mayo, queso fresco, coconut and popcorn 4 Margarita Cheesecake Tostadas Ok, corn lollipop is fun to eat, but my opinion chipotle mayo overpowering queso fresco ( Mexican fresh cow milk cheese ) and I barely taste the coconut. Can't default the slow roster pork, chilli caramel salsa was great accompaniment, (sweet and spicy at the same time), for this dish, and bit of scratching was good crunchy note . Chicken taco, those salsa macha was chilli hot, peanuty and sweet honey finished note, not to spicy on my palate, beautifully crafted sauce with extra crunchiness from Mexican slaw. This signature dish, cheese cake, came in 4 bit sizes... Very soft delicate cheese cake with base their version Tostada, I am guessing just kind of oven baked coconut biscuit, ( also toasted coconut flakes) and the hit of tajin salt was telling your brain that you are having "solid" margarita and some more the addition of dehydrated lime bring this dish complete to confused your brain.. Am I drinking margarita or eating cheese cake? Well... You decide!
