I can't thank SSM enough. One zone of our house wasn't heating. Our usual company couldn't come for…read moreover a week. (!) Called another company who sent 2 guys for 3 visits because it just didn't get fixed. They charged us ~$2000 for replacing two things + labor, and the problem still wasn't fixed. At that point I decided to pivot. Went on a local FB page to ask for advice/names, and SSM came highly recommended. I called them on a Sunday and got an actual human in the office! (The other company has an AI assistant who sounds real. It's creepy.) Bruno from SSM came today, did a lot of diagnostic work, and figured out that the problem was electrical. We were charged just $232.50. Bruno took the time to explain things to us, and didn't try to sell us things. The only good thing to come out of this frigid situation is finding South Shore Mechanical. Thank you so much for your kindness and integrity! Don't ever change! Will definitely do business with them again.

Contractors and Homeowners Beware -- Extremely Concerning Experience…read moreOur company, was hired to perform electrical work on a project involving South Shore Mechanical and its owner, William Holley. During the project, they installed incorrect RTUs, creating a significant issue that needed to be corrected. We were subsequently asked to perform the electrical work necessary to help correct the situation. We completed the requested work, supplied the necessary labor and materials, and did our part to get the project back on track. The result? William Holley / South Shore Mechanical has refused to pay our outstanding invoice for the work we performed. As a fellow contractor and business owner, I find this completely unacceptable. I wouldn't trust this company to pour water out of a boot even if you told them the instructions were on the heel. We have made multiple attempts to resolve the outstanding balance directly with William Holley before reaching this point. Unfortunately, despite the work being completed, we are still left with an unpaid invoice. Based on our company's experience, I cannot recommend South Shore Mechanical or William Holley to homeowners, contractors, or businesses considering working with them. Running a construction project is difficult enough without having to spend months chasing another contractor for payment for work they requested and received. We would have much preferred to resolve this privately and professionally.

My honest review- (First the good) True Blue installed a new FHA furnace in my home in 2016. All…read moregood, very professional. I was repeatedly told it had a 10 year warranty. Fast forward 9 years, it stops working. I emailed True Blue and Steve (owner) now tells me that there was only a 5 year warranty ( I even sent them the warranty card that I registered) He did send his guy right out. Joey was very nice. He cleaned the igniter and it fired right up (but only 1 time). It took him about 20 minutes total. Joey recommended they we replace igniter and flame sensor because they were "only sold in pairs" (this was not true as you will see in the photos). (Now for the bad) I had previously researched the parts, which were $41.00 for both. I asked Joey how much it would cost to replace both the igniter & flame sensor. He said that he called his office and they said $829.00. Really? For a 45-minute job? I asked Joey to break down the parts and labor and he said "I can't do that". I then asked "that must be about 5 hours of labor, right? (they charge $145/hour) He was very hesitant to answer but replied "maybe 3 or 4 hours labor". I paid True Blue $145 (1-hour min charge) and he left. So much for taking care of a loyal customer. I ended up calling another company. They came out and did a complete tune up. They charged me $165 total for everything, including the new parts. They also confirmed that my parts were in fact under warranty (but not the labor) . I am one of those people who is very loyal to a company that takes good care of me. In this instance, I 100% believe that True Blue was trying to take advantage of me.
