History
Established in 2025.
Franchi Electric was founded in 2025 by Gleber, a Berkeley native with over 10 years of experience in the electrical trade. Growing up in Berkeley, Gleber developed a strong connection to the community and recognized many historic homes were still operating with outdated and unsafe electrical systems.
Many East Bay homes built between the early 1900s and 1970s still contain knob-and-tube wiring and aging panels such as Federal Pacific, Zinsco/Sylvania, and Challenger. Unfortunately, these systems can't handle modern electrical demands.
Franchi Electric was created to modernize older homes safely and responsibly. The company specializes in knob-and-tube replacement, panel and service upgrades, EV charger installations, and pre-sale or purchase electrical inspections. With a focus on code compliance, transparency, and quality workmanship, Franchi Electric is committed to helping Berkeley and East Bay homeowners improve safety, reliability, and readiness for modern electrified living.
