I appreciated the pianist who played the grand piano in the center of the store. I, however, did not see many employees greet me as I walked around.

The business is faith-based, and it donates 10% of net proceeds of sales on Mondays to nonprofits, and its associates get paid volunteer time each month. This particular Altar'd State store is in South Hills Village mall. I occasionally shop here for clothing. During my most recent visit, when I entered the store, an employee greeted me and told me about sales. I did not see sale signs on the racks of clothing, so I recommend that they add those. The quality of the clothing looked good, although I personally do not think that this faith-based store should sell revealing clothing such as tube tops and cropped tops. During the fall season, though, the clothing tends to cover the body more to be warmer. The prices were moderately high, for example, a made-in-China dress for $74. I did see jewelry such as necklaces with Christian crosses.

This particular store is in South Hills Village mall. The store's merchandise includes women's t-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts, sweaters, shackets (which look like thick shirt-jackets to me), dresses, jeans, skirts, loungewear, boots, hats, handbags, jewelry, etcetera. When I shopped here, I saw mostly brands that I did not recognize but also a couple familiar name brands such as Free People and Madden Girl. Prices were moderate, and the store was having a sale of BOGO 25% off for some full-priced styles and a sale of 50% off for some other styles. Some of the clearance prices were bargains. Overall, this store is not one of my favorites, but I sometimes find some styles that I like.

I particularly like its bras, which are available in my size and preferred style, fit comfortably, and last many years. During my most recent visit to this store, it was fully stocked with merchandise, and it was holding sales of 25% off sweatshirts and sweaters and 40% off leggings and sports bras, which made the prices more reasonable. With the bras, you save money if you purchase two or more. I do think that employees could greet customers more.
