You can barely see anything in the store. Imagine walking into a clothing store where you can't clearly see the items or even their colors. The lighting is unbelievably bad. The staff member was friendly and opened a fitting room for me, but the situation got even worse there. The fitting room was completely dark. I literally couldn't see the clothes I was trying on--or even the clothes I was wearing. It took me about 10 minutes just to put my own clothes back on. Is this brand trying to save money on electricity? What is going on? This is unacceptable for a clothing store. I left the clothes there and will never buy from this brand again--not in-store and not online.

We were standing in line and were standing in line and while 6 feet away from the customer in front of us, Sam the associate at the register came over and asked us to move back on the X. We apologized and did so without fuss. While in the store we noticed some customers not wearing a mask. As a caregiver, I understand the mask is for others protection not your own. My daughter did not feel comfortable enough to look at some items she found interesting as there were some younger, perhaps college aged guys stepping in front of her, without a mask and coughing. I just told her we can't control that and to just pay for what we got and leave. We then get to the register and Sam asks us if we found everything we were looking for to which I let her know that she wanted to look at a display however several guys were over there and not wearing a mask, coughing and so we were unable to grab the item she wanted. Instead of offering to go get it for us, Sam told us "we can't force customers to wear a mask and could not do anything about it. It should be noted that Sam had a mask on her face but it was not covering her nose. Of course I pointed that out and then asked why she would ask us to move back when others were able to freely crowd customers when not wearing a mask. She was less than professional and proceeded to tell us that masks were not required, just suggested. We paid for our items and left. I took a picture of the sign on the door. Seems odd that they ask folks not to come in if they have symptoms but don't take a temp and don't ask folks who are coughing to wear one. Plus, she in particular should be trained on the proper use. It should also be noted that they did not clean between customers and so not sure how much they care. I give one star only because we can't give zero. My daughter loves this store however we will just be buying directly from the brand rather than dealing with this again. All other stores we went into required all to wear masks. I'm super disappointed. This store is overpriced and reckless in my opinion. My advice is to enter at your own risk. Merchandise same pricing as any other Zumiez.
