Due to their dances they have accelerated breathing and heart rate, the last thing I want is her oxygen limited. Everything was fine for months minus the fact there were no recitals due to covid and the children are watched on a screen so the parents just drop their kids off and leave so there isn't any relationship building I eventually stopped going in myself Because just sat there alone. A sub instructor came to teach my daughters class of only 3 young girls. She asked my daughter if she had a mask to wear, like they always do although they know I do not want her to wear one, and my daughter said no. They proceeded to separate my daughter from the rest of the class and have her practice the routine away from her friends/other students as if she was some virus ridden nonhuman thing. My daughter rarely ever gets upset over anything but that day she came out crying so upset. The owner did reach out to me with an apology but never addressed handling the situation we never experienced this before and my heart broke for my daughter she loves ballet but we will never be going back. They informed me that, that instructor has serve asthma, what that has to do with my daughter, I don't know but at the end of the day, my daughter was and is healthy and it's not her responsibility to worry about other people's health, to each their own. If the instructor is worried or has some personal issues she should have been separated from the class or better yet stayed home.

I have sent repeated emails with no response, even after asking for confirmation. I was blocked from their Facebook, so that I wouldn't be able to review them there. I understand that these are trying times for everyone, but the lack of communication and blocking your customers is extremely unprofessional. We have paid full price since this all started in good faith to keep the studio running. I find it completely unacceptable to raise prices for the next season considering we've all stayed and continued to pay full price for next to nothing in return.

Regardless, we showed up to first day of class to see a class with at least 10-15 toddlers AND all of their parents running around and dancing in the studio. WITHOUT masks. They all left, my daughters soon after went in. Not a single person said hello, or introduced themselves to me or to them. I took a seat to watch my daughters dance in what very few chairs they had (and I was THE ONLY parent sitting as there was only one other child in the class besides my daughters). I was immediately approached by a man and told I had to leave because parents were not allowed to stay but that I could get a "zoom link." Again, not a single introduction as to whom he was, no inquiry about who I was, no other words other than "you need to leave." I told him I would. I grabbed my kids, and left, asked for my money back, and never looked back. The only person that cared to ask why we were leaving was the dance teacher. If you people are under the impression that 1) you're doing someone a favor and preventing Covid by kicking ONE parent (which is a vaccinated Covid nurse by the way) out and keeping MULTIPLE others IN the ACTUAL studio just prior to my kids being in there WITHOUT masks, you're absolute fools and 2) leaving two young females with some RANDOM dude (owner or not) who did NOT even introduce himself to me and treated me with nothing but RUDENESS and DISRESPECT and amongst people I've never met in my life....you are really something with some type of audacity. Don't even get me started on getting my refund for my hundreds of dollars. It only took like 4 weeks to get my money back, but I did. It's clear they don't need more business. Never again. I literally went that same day to a place we love and are appreciated at as customers, dancers, humans, and most importantly as parents. Didn't have a single issue. Not about masks, costs, seating arrangements, phone calls (every call is answered right off the bat), introductions, teachers, NOTHING.

All the instructors are great, and I happen to take a lot of classes with Lauren Espino- she's fabulous. Was excited to try a 45-min country class out. In my mind I was looking forward to some line…read moredancing. I wasn't told anything about what to expect when I talked to someone twice. I arrived a little late, about 15 min, and was expecting to get a word or two from the instructor about what we were doing. Nothing - just yelling a 4/4 count at the class of 8 people for some kind of waltz partner dancing. I didn't expect to do any partner work, so that was a bit off putting. Again, no one informed me that the class would include partner work. Not receiving a welcome or directions but just told to get a partner and then being yelled and counted at - again not knowing what we were doing - was very off putting. The instructor would demonstrate with another employee what looked like advanced waltz movements and expected us to get it immediately. The guys present weren't used to leading in dance so it felt like a jumbled mess. All the while the instructor was rudely yelling for us not to look at our feet or yelling her 4/4 count. She then puts the music on the last 10 min of class and plays two 6/8 songs - a totally different count from the 4/4 count she'd been yelling at us the whole time. I could tell the instructor didn't want to be there. She was rude and impatient. Also, in the same room right next to our group of 8 there is a one-on-one private lesson going on which was very distracting. For $30 a person, the lack of clarity, kindness, teaching decorum, and doing a completely different genre of dance was highly disappointing. I'd be justified in asking for a refund. It was not a good experience at all.

My daughter's pretty shy and it seemed like it's a pretty strict place but she loves it. Ms. Stacey is pretty popular and my daughter was the last one in her class. I see the difference in my daughter once she started this class. This place gives each dancer the skills to become not only great dancers but to be confident in themselves. Its only been a couple months but I hope my daughter continues to have great experiences here!
