I have sent repeated emails with no response, even after asking for confirmation. I was blocked from their Facebook, so that I wouldn't be able to review them there. I understand that these are trying times for everyone, but the lack of communication and blocking your customers is extremely unprofessional. We have paid full price since this all started in good faith to keep the studio running. I find it completely unacceptable to raise prices for the next season considering we've all stayed and continued to pay full price for next to nothing in return.

The studio itself is homey and well-loved: no, it's not a brand new giant warehouse with luxurious sprung floors. But those scratched wooden floors and smoothly-worn-down barres carry so much history and love and care. I took adult ballet classes here for a year in roughly 2022-2023. All of the instructors were amazing, and treated adult students exactly like they would have their teen students - we weren't babied or not taken seriously. Margo herself would sometimes come to sit and watch our classes; she is an absolutely lovely woman and still has all the grace and elegance of her younger years. Would highly recommend MDSB for adult ballet classes, which occur on Tues/Thurs evenings. I would supplement my classes here with classes at Texas Ballet Theater on the other days and felt like I got a very robust ballet education at both schools!

Finding The Rock has been THE BEST thing for her. Not only has she learned how to behave in a classroom setting and respect a teacher, but she is excelling on academic levels for her age as well. It doesn't seem to work for my kids, so it's a nice option to have if we decide. They also have exercise classes and a gym. I hate going to the regular gym like 24 hour because they are usually occupied with folks tryna get laid or get a date. Here at the Y..M..C..A! it's mostly senior citizens in the gym or moms! Much rather work on my fitness with them than folks tying up the equipment. They have Zumba, Cycle, Bodypump, Pilates, Yoga, and more. So far I've been to Bodypump and Shred. I'm tryna work off these Yelp pounds! Color me a fan.

My experience with this YMCA's cancellation and billing practices has been frustrating. That goes beyond the stated 30-day cancellation period and leaves me concerned about another bank draft after I requested cancellation. I also questioned a returned-payment fee applied to an ACH bank draft. On September 8, I requested the membership policies and documentation showing that I had agreed to the fee. I did not receive a response until October 1, and the response did not resolve my concerns. Members deserve clear disclosure of fees, straightforward cancellation procedures, and timely answers about charges. In my experience, these practices lacked transparency and felt unfair and unethical. Before joining, get the cancellation terms and returned-payment fees in writing, and monitor your account after requesting cancellation. Stephanie was my poc, when I called last night I was advised that I could speak to her as she is in charge of memberships. I declined because.....well see above , she never responded to my email from 8SEP26. Therefore I asked to speak to someone over her and was told it would be Ms. Beverly however she along with Stephanie weren't available and were at a meeting in Benbrook or Burleson. Neither close to our area, yet Stephanie calls me 5minutes after I hang up. Get everything in writing and request your acknowledgment of their rules, regulations and procedures for payment and cancellation to include your signature. Otherwise they just jooped you without you knowing.

We wanted something to do together that was fun and to make sure we all had the basics of some line dances before we headed out. In the texts and call leading up to our first session we told them exactly what we were interested in, even sending YT video links. When we arrived, the instructor had no clue and instead insisted the we learn the one he wanted us to. And to be fair, as soon as we stepped in it was clear this studio is really not geared for line dances. I wish they would have just told us that. If you want ballroom or wedding first dance stuff, they look like a place to check out. But for casual small group stuff, I would not recommend. But, we had some fun and, since this was a gift to a friend, we even went for our second session, figuring the instructor had seen what we could do. Again, we told him EXACTLY what we wanted. Still, when we arrived for the second session, the instructor had not given our wish list a look. While we waited, he did go look at a video for Shivers, and then attempted to teach it. It was terrible. Heck, even anyone who has seen DWTS knows you count movements. When we asked him to, it was clear he was annoyed and his steps were not even close to the many videos online. Furthermore, I don't think he taught any of the dances the same way twice. Sometimes we would end one way, sometimes halfway through the steps, etc. It's clear from his moves, when we saw him working with a solo before we arrived, that he is a good dancer, just not the type of dancing we were looking for. It was super disappointing as these sessions were a gift for one of the people going on the cruise. Ballroom dancing, sure they are worth a look, but you had better make sure they are going to teach you what you want and NOT what they want to teach. Or ask them to just tell you that they don't teach what you are looking for.

This is our third year at Dance Academy of Mansfield and we love it! The first day of class she walked right in and didn't even miss me. I was shocked because she would not stay with anyone besides mom, dad or grandma. She had a blast, the teacher was very kind and welcoming. She has loved all of the teachers she has had throughout the years. They are very professional at dance academy of Mansfield, but also are kind and understanding to the girls as well as the parents. I like that they incorporate different muscle groups in their practices as they do core, balance and stretching as well as dancing. I have notice improvements in my daughters feet and core strength. She has always had flat feet and has had some trouble with balance/coordination and I have noticed since starting dance that has improved. Lastly the production they have at the end of the year is amazing. So cool to watch as a parent. I love that DAOM is not ashamed of their faith and to talk about the Lord and pray; and for that reason is why I drive from Waxahachie to come here. My daughter loves it.
