I want to say that this company is very considerate when working with you. I had the greatest experience there yesterday 4/7/2016. The guys were friendly and very accommodating to me unloading my aluminum and getting me out of the way. Keep up the good work! Norm from altE read more

Decent place to dump scrap, but a couple of the guys have an attitude and clearly don't want to be dealing with customers. I still go here out of convenience, not because it's a great experience. read more

Professional and friendly to me, a grandmother clearing metal rods out of her basement. I drove in with them in my car. They weighed my car, removed the metal rods then weighted the car again , gave me a slip of paper with net weight to bring to cashier. The whole process was quick and easy, no waiting. read more

I am glad I discovered Allied in Walpole! I will never go to Framingham Salvage again. They ALWAYS short you on the pay and are very unorganized. read more

Unless you just want to get rid of an old appliance and are nearby, I'd avoid this place. Their prices for scrap metal are not good - I brought in over 400 pounds of metal and got $16. I've gotten close to double that at other places for similar amounts. One employee was really helpful but the others just yelled at me when I asked them where to go after I dumped my metal. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back unless I didn't have any other options. read more

took me an hour to dump my stuff I got trapped in the middle of the place and couldn't drive out. allied is bigger and better

The men that I men at this business were all wonderful to deal with. I had tons of copper, sheet metal and scrapes of silver in bins and they seperated and weighed things so quickly. Was a wonderful experience and I got paid for stuff I would of tossed ointhe trash! read more

Ripped me off and payed out less than I was supposed to get and were rude in the process. When I told them my cat6 cable was the type without the plastic inside the guy pulled out a measly 5 bucks and was like, yeah here ya go. Thanks buddy. If you can find another place to return metal then do it. Don't deal with these crusty dudes. read more

I brought my old OEM catalytic converter to Framingham Metals to get a price quote since they wouldn't give me one over the phone. The employee there looked at my CC, made a phone call to their buyer, and then a couple minutes later offered me $100. When I said I was getting quotes from other places, he told me they were only getting paid $130 from their buyer and Framingham Metals needed to make some money. When I said I still wanted to get other estimates, he offered me $110. He told me "we're the only place around here. And you're time's got to be worth something", attempting to cajole me into accepting his offer, which turned out to be an extremely low one. I ended up bringing my catalytic converter to Westford Metals because they 1) paid me $225 and 2) gave me a price over the phone after I texted them a few pictures with serial numbers from the CC. I honestly don't know how the buyer for Framingham Metals could only be paying them $130 when Westford Metals paid me $225. Do they have buyers who are ripping them off or was Framingham Metals not honest with me about the $130 price they were being paid? Westford Metals honored the price they gave me by phone and were super easy to deal with. I highly recommend Westford Metals. I recommend not going to Framingham Metals because as in my case (and according to all the other 1 star reviews on Yelp), they will most likely pay you a lot less than you can get elsewhere. At the very least, get a second quote from somewhere else to make sure you are getting a fair price for your goods. read more

I've been a regular customer for a long time. The staff/family at Framingham salvage have been extremely helpful, courteous, and polite. I continue to have a great experience every time I enter the facility. The Applebaum family that owns and runs the company have a vast and solid knowledge of the industry. They have been willing to share some of that knowledge by educating their customers about various metals. As for payments I find them to be equal or better than most of the yards in the Worcester area. I strongly suggest taking the trip to Framingham Salvage. Tell them that The Dude from Grafton recommended them. Happy scrappin' read more

Friendly and convenient for someone not in the construction business. I recommend Framingham Salvage.

They basically stole 2300lbs of medical grade stainless steel and cast iron from me. Guy said he was going to hook me up. So what he did was he paid me light iron prices. When i questioned it they refused to tell me any prices of what they pay for anything. If you want to get ripped of this is the place to go! read more

Lowest prices and usually takes to long to help. Came in with a load and was told "you're good to go" didn't even weigh the truck, little money or not that's not good business. Live in natick but will be taking all my stuff to Everett or Boston area from now on, especially when I turn in copper and brass read more

Coming from someone that is in the demo/scrap metal business please listen to me and do not go to Framingham salvage. Worcester or Chelsea will pay more money. They will try any angle to scam you. They won't tell you pricing or anything. Be prepared to get ripped off. You're better off making the trip there. If you are a homeowner and want to drop off some scrap metal or even a boiler yourself they are going to tell you it's too small to get any money. That's BS, they should pay you but they won't because they know you have nowhere else to bring it. Like I said take the ride somewhere else. The worst part is that all the employees or I should say family members are unpleasant to deal with. Never a good experience. read more

Worst customer service. No help and they leave you waiting on the scale. They don't care if you bring Scrap your scrap here. Trust me go elsewhere read more

Don't know if Yelp is the best place to review them but the guys who are running Framingham Salvage are a bunch of thieves. I brought almost a ton of heavy steel down there and dropped it off. When I went to collect my cash they told me I didn't have enough weight to be considered for payment. There was about $200 worth of metal. He knew how hard it would be for me to reload all the steel and that he could take my payment and put it in his pocket. I've spoken to other people who have gone down there and been told they won't pay them but they will take stuff off of their hands for them. Others have been ripped off like I was. They only do this to people they don't know. If you want a good place to scrap metal go to Allied in Walpole, Ma. They will pay you top dollar for everything including car batteries. read more

Framingham Salvage is a busy place but the service and fairness make the wait well worth it.

Only been twice, the second time very recently, short changed both times, I know its a tough business, but the guy handing out the money has me feeling like two cents for not having caused a scene, a lousy experience. read more

i recently discovered this place and love it! I have always been a do-it-yourselfer and had acculturated a box full of old car parts and assorted household items. The biggest of these was a old stove that we no longer needed. There are plenty of junk removal services in our area but I didn't feel like paying the fee for home pickup and I didn't feel right about putting these items in curbside trash collection. I am an avid recycler so when I found FS's website I was excited to see they would take everything I had. I completely filled the back of my van with the accumulated junk and drove to FS which is not far from the local mall. FS is busy and noisy but I was met promptly at a booth in front of some weighing scales. The vehicle was weighed and I drove to the back where two large excavators where busy sorting junk parts. It took some figuring out, but in a few minutes the procedure was clear to simply throw my junk in front of the machines. It was impressive to see the clawed excavator scoop up the old stove, crush it, and place at the top of a 50' pile of metal all in about 10 seconds! The best part is when I drove back around to the front to check, I got a few bucks for my load. More than enough to cover the gas and an trip to the donut shop. I never felt better about recycling and cleaning up the workshop! Will definitely make FS part of my routine. read more
