They were squares, and normally (and admittedly) I'd just get some frames off of amazon for ~$50 but I couldn't find any that I liked in the dimensions that I needed. So I sucked it up and took them to Right Angle. I worked with the owner who was SO helpful and took all of the time in the world to make sure I was getting frames that both compliment each painting as well as each other, in case I wanted to hang them together one day. We ended up with two real cute end products! They make me even more proud of my paintings. While the price is up there, that is just all custom framing and I am learning that. Both pieces, each 11"x11", came out to around $300. Again, these were painted on literal cardboard garbage, so that was hard to justify. But honestly, in these beautiful new frames with their double layers of matting, you can't tell. They look expensive and I love seeing them on my walls. Both pieces took about a month, but I assured her I was in no rush to get them back by any deadline. With the amount of attention to detail that goes into each piece and the quality of customer care, you can't go wrong bringing your pieces here. No matter what they are, they'll be treated like priceless works of art worthy of beautiful frames! Thank you so much Right Angle!

I didn't really like what he picked out but that was more a matter of taste and style. It was large frame and cost $375 with a groupon made it $100 less. When I picked it up yesterday with my friend, before we left the store my friend said, "look at he corners". The frame was not finished properly and there were marks from the gold leaf in the recesses of the frame. I was not thrilled. The man in the store was not the one I originally dealt with and he fixed it up as best he could. He told me that the corner cardboard pieces they used were not professional and took the finish off of the corners because they were too tightly placed. So why do they use them? I was glad my friend was with me because the man running the store was ready to let me leave without looking at the corners (lesson learned) and had I gotten home and found it unfinished I would have been very upset. Although both shopkeepers were very nice, I would definitely NOT use them again unless it was for something small and simple.

I asked Pablo if he would be able to flatten it, mount it, and place it in a matted frame as a gift for my boyfriend. I didn't have very high hopes given the condition the poster was in, but we discussed the project and Pablo totally understood the vision. I made a Yelp account solely to praise this owner! I walked in last week with a frame I ordered from amazon that came with plexi-glass instead of a real glass front, which didn't look nice at all. I walked in with the frame and the art I and asked how long it would take if I dropped this off/if he would even want to fit my existing frame with glass. With a huge smile, he took everything out of my hands, measured and cut glass, fit my art perfectly centered within the frame (the printing place didn't cut it perfectly straight), and even mounted hardware on the back of the frame and included the proper screws for me to hang the piece when I got home! I never expected to walk out 20 minutes later with something so professionally done without having to drop it off. The owner has an amazing attitude, bright smile and amazing skill, he really takes pride in his work and does a thorough job. I have been recommending him to everyone I know since I popped in two weeks ago! Thank you! read more

This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a service business…read more We hired Heba to mount a paper painting onto canvas and frame it. Unfortunately, she missed our deadline three separate times, delivered a frame that was not what we agreed on, and the painting itself has already started peeling away from the canvas after only two months (see photo). 1. Repeatedly missed deadlines When we first met on April 9, Heba quoted a one-week turnaround. Ten days later, she said she needed another week. We agreed. Another week passed, and she again requested more time. We agreed a second time. By early May, we had a firm deadline because the painting was needed for an event. She finally completed the job the day before that deadline--nearly a month after we originally dropped it off. 2. Delivered a completely different frame I was very specific about the frame I wanted. I provided reference photos and videos, and Heba assured me it would not be a problem. After delaying the project multiple times, she called the day before delivery and informed me she could not make the frame we had agreed upon. Instead, she told me she could only use frames she already had in stock, or she would simply return the painting unframed. At that point, we had no realistic choice because we needed the artwork for our event the next day. Rather than acknowledging the situation, she became defensive and insisted the substitute frame was "extremely high quality" and that I was getting a bargain--even though it was not what we had agreed on. To make matters worse, on the delivery day she initially framed it in white instead of the blonde wood finish we had selected, causing yet another delay. 3. Poor workmanship Only two months later, the painting has started peeling away from the canvas at multiple corners. This is not normal for professionally mounted artwork. We deliberately waited before writing this review because we understand how challenging it can be to run a small business. However, once the artwork began failing after just two months, we felt other customers should know about our experience. For comparison, a friend owns the exact same artwork mounted in the exact same style I originally requested--the style Heba told me was "nearly impossible." That piece has been hanging for over a year and remains in perfect condition. If you're framing something sentimental or valuable, I strongly recommend using a dedicated professional framing shop. Based on our experience, the work was significantly delayed, the agreed-upon design was not delivered, and the finished product failed after only two months.

In fact, I loved it so much that I went out and got that same gift for another friend's engagement. While the gift shop portion of Hudson Paperie is fantastic, I'm knocking off a star because I was not too impressed with their wedding invitation service. The consultation does not feel super personal, they mainly just throw a ton of big books at you to look through on your own. Which is not a huge deal, but but not for the price. Invites here are incredibly expensive - more expensive than most other invite avenues that I've come across. So for that price, it would have been nice to go through different styles with a consultant instead of being left to sort through 100+ books on my own. But, if you are fine with that they do have tons of styles in their books to choose from. So the selection is great, I just was not too impressed with the service for the price.
