I needed a break from the blazing sun, so I came up with the perfect excuse to cool off inside; buy some salt water taffy for my son. Fralinger's is a classic boardwalk spot that's been around forever, and walking in feels like a quick blast from the past. The place is bright and cheerful, with barrels full of colorful, chewy candy everywhere. I didn't wanna stress over picking flavors, so I just grabbed their assorted souvenir box, the kind that's been making people happy for ages. By the time I left, I was definitely cooler... you know, a cooler mom. read more

So yum. A must-stop if you are strolling along the AC boardwalk. The taffy and the fudge especially, some of the best you'll ever eat, I promise. Very old-fashioned lovely vibe, great assortment, Hard to choose what to get! Prices are not cheap, but you are getting quality. Do not bother with It's Sugar down the road. It's Sugar right in here -- they've been making candy forever. Trust the experts! read more

Old School CLASSIC Atlantic City candy spot! Try the Fudge and Molasses Paddles (a chocolate covered salt, water Tappy lollipop!), it's an Atlantic City staple. Their nostalgic packaging is a plus. Makes a great gift to send someone. Shout out to the two Eastern European employees who are super cool and helpful! PS this shop has an extensive sugar-free section! read more

Grew up coming here with my family while on vacation and stopped in years later while on vacation with my boyfriend. They have the best salt water taffy in the whole world. They have so many different flavors. They offer other options as well as fudge which I had to get. Stop in when you're on the boardwalk! read more

The quality of the fudge is so poor, we threw the majority away. Fudge used to have density. The 4 we tried were soft almost runny. Won't ever go back. read more

If candy is your thing, this is your place. I went with what seemed to be one of the specialty's, a bag of the salt water taffy. No regrets. read more

I bought some fudge and salt water taffy for my coworkers. They give you a discount on your purchase if you increase how much you buy (bought 5 pounds). I saved $4 off my order. I wanted 4 boxes and they wrapped the fudge in plastic and distributed into the 4 boxes. The place was clean and organized and the service was very good. They are centrally located on the boardwalk. The best I could tell , it looks like all the fudge shops buy their products from the same vendor and they are all the same price read more

I grew up in the 60s going "down the shore" in New Jersey. Our summer wasn't complete until we went to the boardwalk in AC. We always got a box of Fralinger's Salt Water Taffy to bring home so we could reminisce about our summer trip to the beach. Now I'm sharing this with my granddaughters! read more

Always a great stop on the boardwalk for some delicious treats and summer fun! Love some homemade fudge!

How can you resist a slogan like "Fralinger's Original Salt Water Taffy. Salt Air and Sunshine In Every Box." ? You just can't. I bought a commemorative tin because seriously these days they just don't make them like that anymore. Things just don't don't have lasting value like they did back in my parents day. I like seeing old stores that have survived all the makeovers and maintained true to what they started out as. I find little old fashioned stores like these very charming. Fralinger's has been around since 1885 and continues to thrive on their super soft and chewy taffy. If you go to Atlantic City, you have to check it out. read more

I only came here since the store was featured on HBO's series 'Boardwalk Empire.' Gotta check it out! When you step inside, it wasn't a large candy store to begin with. The sales associates were nice enough, and let you roam around and take pictures. They have a nice selection of salt water taffy, and if you ask kindly, they let you taste samples of it. I had their Molasses, which supposedly was the 'original,' and it tasted great. Not much of a molasses fan, but in taffy form, it was creamy, taffy-like, a little buttery, and a hint of molasses. +salt water taffy read more

Fralingsr's macaroons are simply the best. Melt in your mouth sweet goodness. Living on the west coast is a problem because you will need to pay for fast shipping so they are fresh on arrival, but just do it! You won't be sorry. read more

Spectacular dark chocolate coconut crispy candy. Worth the price tag. Wish I could find them online to order.

Simply the best! I have been here a few times on my trips to AC and its always awesome. I decided to try out their mail order and placed an order on their website. I got 3 pounds of pick my own flavors (peach, strawberry, chocolate and molasses), a combo gift of one pound of assorted taffy and a box of peanut chews. If you order more than 35 bucks worth online they throw in another pound of taffy for free! Shipping was about 12 bucks via UPS so for about 50 bucks I got 5 lbs of taffy and a box of peanut butter chews. This stuff is awesome and if you have never had it, I suggest you try it. It isnt as cool as walking down the boardwalk and filling up a bag, but its pretty damn close and its available all year round online! read more

Great salt water taffy. There are a few locations on the boardwalk and all are terrific spots to pick up taffy of all flavors, macaroons, and candies. You can choose from all kinds of flavors here by the pound and also in gift boxes. Their flavors are terrific - from fruits to classics like peppermint creams. Sugar free flavors too. Every time I am down here I buy a few boxes as gifts, to bring to my office, or for personal consumption. Different size gift boxes and baskets are also available. Cut into bite size to fit the mouth for easy eating! Soft, chewy, and delicious since the 1880's. read more

The chocolate covered everything here is delicious. Chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered caramels, and, best of all, chocolate covered graham crackers. Those especially have the thickest layer of chocolate on them. YUM! Plus if you buy three bags, you get $1.00 off! Their fudge is good. I mean, I feel like all fudge is the same when you get it at the shore. They've got lots of salt water taffy, too. The old woman who was working yesterday was super cute and really nice. Will return! read more

Their macaroons are outstanding. The coconut ones are pillowy soft and the almond/chocolate almond ones have a wonderful crisp edge to them with a nice chewy center. Yes I absolutely had to try all three varieties and I loved them all. The candies are just as wonderful. I picked up a box of taffies as a souvenir for my coworkers and they all loved it. The taffy is has a good chew, soft and not too tacky. The only thing that was missing was some sort of flavor guide to let us know which colors were which flavor. read more

Very upsetting. Went to Fralingers in Atlantic City as I know the Fralingers in Ocean City is beyond a treat. Not this time. Came home with fudge and my favorite almond macaroons, but it was stale. Hard as a rock ! Fudge was tolerable- nothing great. They sold Johnson's Carmel popcorn (the original shop is in Ocean City- NJ. That was stale also. Not only that but it was double the price that it should of been. Not rushing back - very disappointing. read more

I always walk away a happy girl after visiting here. My love for salt water taffy runs deep. and Fralinger's know the way to my heart. I love being able to choose the flavors I love. The ride back to the city is always better with a bag full of sugar to keep me happy. Sad, but true, I'm able to finish $20 worth of taffy in a couple days. read more

I stopped by to pick up some yummy salt-water taffy and stay out of the heat for a few minutes. They also serve fudge here but I recommend getting fudge down the way at Steel's instead. This is the OTHER Fralinger's (we usually went to the one at 1100 Boardwalk.) Love Fralinger's shop and taffy. My 4 year old ate a piece every day of our vacation last September. They also have chocolate covered taffy. Who woulda thunk it? read more

Saw this place on the Food Network and I saw the billboard with it on Boardwalk Empire, so when me and my gf passed by it, I knew we had to go in and get some salt water taffy! We each took a couple pieces (about 10 or so) and it was like a $1.80. Are sill snacking on them! So far my favorite flavor is the bay breeze! :) Is a simple candy/taffy shop. Yum. Three or four of pieces of salt water taffy, and who needs dinner?

Aw, this place was exactly what I was hoping the Jersey Shore would be like. Salt Air + Sunshine = really good saltwater taffy! Plus, tons of other fun stuff, most notably the almond macaroons and the caramel/marshmallow chews. There's so much candy it's almost overwhelming. (Almost.) Very retro and lots of fun. read more

This is THE PLACE to get salt water taffy down the shore! Nothing beats salt water taffy from here. ENOUGH SAID!

What a great place! It's nice to see some of the original Atlantic City still thriving, when even Mr. Peanut vacated. This is the original salt water taffy. These people invented the stuff. I have eaten salt water taffy up and down the NJ shore for many years, and I'm here to tell you this is the best hands down. If you're a taffy fan, don't miss it. read more

The almond macaroons are heavenly! They are so good! I heard about this place on the food network, so the next time I was in AC, I went searching for it. The almond ones come frozen, individually wrapped in a box. I believe they come a dozen in a box. They take a few minutes to thaw out. Theyre nice and crunchy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. Definitely try this place if you're in AC! read more

Everything they make is great : the many varieties of salt water taffy, the almond or coconut macaroons, various chocolates, lots of other stuff.. Stopped by as we were heading out of A.C. to grab some fudge and taffy. We had a previous experience with some stale taffy in Point Pleasant so we were very happy that the taffy from here is soft and fresh. They have some different flavors, like Pina Colada, Cookie Dough, and Cookies and Cream. All of the flavors I've tried so far have been great. My husband also bought a piece of their Chocolate Raspberry fudge which, while pretty sweet, is very creamy and delicious. I'll definitely make a point to stop by here anytime I'm visiting A.C. in the future. read more

Ever since I saw something on TV about Fralinger's Almond Macaroons, I was waiting anxiously for someone to take me to AC. They're almost as much as a French Macarons but still so delicious! For $2.25, you can get a bite of almondy heaven. The almond macaroon is sweet, crunchy, sticky, and buttery. I love them! I wish I bought more than 5 of them :( read more
