I remembered finding carbolic soap once in a store like this one and ever since that store closed, I've been looking for a local Supply. (It's red soap that smells kind of funny, but if you shave your head like me, nothing is better for preventing bumps and the funny smell goes away soon after you dry off. It's the same kind of surgeons used to scrub up with before operating, like on the TV show MASH. You've never felt as clean, let me tell you as with showering with this stuff. But I digress . . .) What a hidden gem! In addition to all of those different kinds of exotic soap the first caught by eye, there are all sorts of other beauty supplies catering to folks with ethnic and natural hair particularly. BUT if a curious white guy with a shaved head can find some pretty amazing stuff in here, just imagine what YOU might find yourself. There's a huge display case and shelves of genuine designer scents and scented oils, the kind you might give to someone special or treat yourself too. But these fragrances are not knock offs, they are THE BONAFIDE GENUINE DEAL So far I've met Marjorie who's one of the super friendly and very knowledgeable owner/managers as well as Paul, a friendly Store employee who also knows the products very well and has a fine welcoming smile. Their Island charm as well as a deep knowledge of the varied and excellent products and prices are sure to beckon you back time and again. The first time I went I I was not greeted and looked up and down just to be ignored although there were other "customers". I went to the Fragrance Outlet which was unfortunately closed on Sunday's, so in a pinch of time I ended up having to return to this establishment. The second time I went in there was no customers and there was still no greeting. The associate Kenyatta who I ultimately purchased ONE BOTTLE of "Versace Yellow Diamond" from was in the store both times and overlooked me continuing her conversation with her coworker until the associate/manager had to ask her to assist me. She displayed a lackluster attitude and very little customer interaction. I felt like I was buying cigarettes instead of a fine fragrance and the ONLY REASON I decide to purchase any way besides being last minute was to flex on these #03$. The price was good but I expected to be treated like a customer in a perfume store and at least offered similar fragrances besides the cheap discount fragrances cause I spent over $40 (I spent double). I got one out of 4 Frangrances I was looking for at a fair price.

I recently visited this Nordstrom Rack location after moving to Charlotte, and overall, it was a…read moresolid experience. Nordstrom Rack has always been one of my favorite places to shop. I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.
