There are still plenty of stores, some dining options, and even an aquarium (?), but there was not much that appealed to us. We know malls get bought and sold all the time so maybe it's a function of ownership or just that shopping malls are not what they used to be. There were plenty of other shoppers but I don't think we'll be bad anytime soon.

A few quick fast food but most are fast casual sit down restaurants that hit the spectrum of food groups - Asian, burgers, breakfast, pizza, etc. There are some decent hotels here too which probably help with driving traffic flow. One of the highlights is paddleboat rental on the small lake that also has a couple of water fountain features. Plenty of parking and easy enough to access.

My husband and I were visiting the area from Raleigh and stopped into the Lucky Brand store (first…read moretime ever) in Concord Mills shopping center. The store currently allows 9 people at a time, but is set up for maximum spaciousness. It was very bright and clean inside, and the employees all had masks on. The brand is more high end, so you should expect higher prices than your traditional department stores, but the clothes are made better. Currently, there are amazing sales!! We were assisted by Emily D. and she offered so much help. She gave so much insight on each piece we were considering and it was helpful to know, so we could avoid returning clothes since we are unable to try things on during the pandemic. However, she did offer us a free FedEx label for returns (just in case). She picked out jeans for me with the right size and style I prefer without me ever telling her my preferences! She went above and beyond and it was truly an enjoyable shopping experience, which is rarely said during this crazy time. The team that was working today truly influenced my husband and me to continue to shop with Lucky Brand. Those women truly deserve recognition and I hope they do receive it from the company. I work in retail myself and was amazed by my experience today!

She suggested Jewelry pieces to me, convinced me to buy pieces I was unsure of! She was polite, she didn't break while still working folding clothes toward closing time. So she is a great multi tasker. I felt comfy with her, not like South Park mall where they watch you & have attitudes (except the one black lady who works there.) She was by herself as well, so to have that energy was rare!
