The biopic chronicles the musician's significant influences, collaborations, vocal arranging, backup singing, jingle writing for commercials, struggles with his health ( Diabetes) and weight, and recognition for his extraordinary musical abilities. Sad to be reminded of his death at the age of 54. Finally, the booth options are fabulous for enjoying a flick with friends. The concession stand offers snacks, popcorn, sift, and adult drinks.

We come mostly for movies, but have been here for a musical performance as well. The staff is always amazingly friendly and the theater is always clean. Prices are reasonable...food is expensive, but so is every theater. We would rather our money go to a local business though...where we know it's being well used. A fun night with friends is to be had...be sure to check out the booths. Well worth the money for a few people...we've even gotten a booth just for the 2 of us in a date night so we had the extra space. Make sure to say hi to Dustin when you come in! He's always there and smiling.

Comparing the cost to see these shows on Broadway in NYC versus here closer to home it was a package that made sense. We LOVED having the same seats for Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Ain't Too Proud, & Pretty Woman. Our seats were my favorite, but you can't have a bad seat. I've seen shows from Orchestra to back row Balcony in the past. Given the age of the theatre & how theatre seating is so very tight (esp in nyc) , Hershey Theatre is comfortable. I try to picture the long, full elegant gowns worn to the theatre back a century ago & I can't imagine how it could have been comfortable! But if those women made it through a theatre night, I certainly can too. For this theatre season, the air & heating systems seemed a problem for me. It was blustery cold outside but to warm & stuffy inside so it was a challenge to figure out how to dress appropriately. They never started on time. I don't know if it's the opening door time, enhanced security, or the show tour itself but time management seemed to be an issue this season at the Saturday 2pm shows. Snacks and drinks are provided for a reasonable fee. Regular care & maintenance was maintained to the rest rooms. And everything else people like to know about like parking & wifi plus the heating & cooling system is getting work done in 2025 so save your $$$ and get ready for an EPIC return to theatre when Hershey Theatre re-opens their doors after renovation!!!

Well, that's what I did. I went to Midtown cinema to see Sinners. It was a rainy, gloomy day, so it was perfect to go to the movie theater. I worked for myself, so I was able to go to a matinee at roughly about 1 PM. It was a very nice experience. Since I since I had the theater to my entire self I purchased a popcorn and a soda and of course the movie ticket! Well I was surprised to only find out that my bill came out to be $32 for a movie midday however I continued to watch the movie and this movie was okay! But that part that threw me off were the vampires. I definitely wasn't expecting that, but that was a great little pot plot twist at the end. I was not too fond of it, but the cinema was very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff made up for it. I actually got a chance to talk to one of the staff members and we talked about movies and I told them how I didn't understand why it was vampires and then also Hoodoo which I came to find out. Is a different type of magic than Voodoo. I love that the film was fictional and based on a folklore, talking to someone at the movie theater, who actually studied film themselves was an amazing experience. I enjoy the conversation with the staff more than the movie.

The theater itself does not have the sound system like the newer ones, but it was good enough. You could see heads on screen when people walked in or out of the theater, which was cool; have not had that experience since my younger days. Everyone was polite and courteous of other guests. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy ten different comedy skits from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., allowing performers to highlight their collective passion and talent. If you missed the May 9th performance, tickets are available at Eventbrite for the June 7th and June 28th performances. Cocktails are available for purchase and sold in a closed container so you can return to your seat. Free parking is available after 5:00 pm, including the parking spaces assigned to state workers at the Capitol.

When I was younger my brother took acting classes with them but I still didn't have an understanding of how progressively they are changing the theatre to push the envelope. Last night as part of a yelp event we attended happy hour at the Gamut theatre. They do this great thing where they provide light refreshments happy hour prices at the bar and on and off improv. The best part is that if you attend happy hour then you can stay for the show after for free. I was really surprised when the team (TMI) incorporated it social media by taking polls and asking questions online- to help create content for the show. I thought it was innovative! They offer a wide range of different classes and shows available to the community and I encourage you to check it out!

This was the first time we went to this venue. You are not permitted to drink or eat inside the theater. They did have drinks and food, but we did not see that area. They check your bags. There is plenty of street parking around the building. We went on a Saturday. You do not have to pay. The parking signs are for the work week. There is a parking garage across the street from the venue(pay). The bathrooms were clean. The venue was very nice and spacious. Air conditioned.
