Midtown Cinema ~ warm cider with cinnamon on a rainy Saturday morning with Joan Baez ~ I Am A Noise

On Saturday October 14th 11:30am showing of Joan Baez ~ I Am A Noise at Midtown Cinema with 2 friends. Midtown staff are top notch. In tune with the community & their clients/customers. I had emailed a few weeks ago expressing interest in the Baez documentary & to inquire if they would be offering this. I received timely response. Easy on line ticket purchase. When you walk into Midtown there is always a welcome "hello" & you feel like a neighbor. Clean, with great snacks & beverages. Reasonable pricing. The warm cider with cinnamon on a rainy Saturday AM , perfect. There is a parking lot. Not huge lot but nice to have possible parking option. Theater seats comfortable. Temperature in theater was also comfortable. Clean restrooms. I have had several very nice experiences here. In fact, I plan to do a membership. Support our local independent theater.

Yes it's my hair...for tonight's showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show!

Great cinema for a cult classic like Rocky Horror Picture Show! I had a blast with 3 ladies; all 4 of us dressed for the occasion. Hot and cold non-alcoholic beverage choices were abundant! I loved the popcorn--fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff were super-friendly and dressed Rocky Horror Picture Show style! They played to characters and in ited us to enter a costume contest before showtime. Props in brown bags encouraged audience participation. Of course, we got into that! One-way, narrow streets present challenges. Give yourself time to park. The Cinema is clean, organized, and well-run. Tickets are acceptable for the indie cinema it is, unique to theaters in the area. We'll return!

Cute little movie theater showing independent films. It only has 3 screens so obviously you selection isn't huge but the line up was good when we visited. My quibble was that the entrance to theater 1 is right next to the screen so when someone comes in/out during the movie you get light coming in, and you could also hear people laughing/some audio from the movie playing in the next theater. These were not deal breakers by any stretch and we still thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The only legit complaint was that the chairs were not very comfortable. Parking is also limited so you may have to park on the street, no biggie. Theater was very nicely decorated and it had a lounging area where they also sold some things. I would def come back!

From Lewisburg, up the Susquahenna, but come as often as I can. Love this place. I would like a bit more of foreign movies. At any rate, highly recommend and suggest you become a member. If film is art, then it's places like this that keep it alive.

Theater was but had sticky floors under renovation great movie.

"Luther: Never Too Much" is a documentary film with actor-producer singer Jamie Foxx as one of the producers. The biopic chronicles the musician's significant influences, collaborations, vocal arranging, backup singing, jingle writing for commercials, struggles with his health ( Diabetes) and weight, and recognition for his extraordinary musical abilities. Sad to be reminded of his death at the age of 54. Finally, the booth options are fabulous for enjoying a flick with friends. The concession stand offers snacks, popcorn, sift, and adult drinks.

We come mostly for movies, but have been here for a musical performance as well. The staff is always amazingly friendly and the theater is always clean. Prices are reasonable...food is expensive, but so is every theater. We would rather our money go to a local business though...where we know it's being well used. A fun night with friends is to be had...be sure to check out the booths. Well worth the money for a few people...we've even gotten a booth just for the 2 of us in a date night so we had the extra space. Make sure to say hi to Dustin when you come in! He's always there and smiling.

For $10 (cash preferred) you get admission, a drink voucher, and two hours to play with science exhibits... with a beer or wine in hand. Think Night at the Museum meets a cash bar. 100% yes. Adventure Buddy's highlight was the RaceIT exhibit, where he built and raced cars -- only to lose to my championship Houpe-De-Ville (sorry, not sorry). My favorite? The Hurricane Chamber that blasted winds up to 91mph. Cool? More like cold. I almost lost my contact lenses. Totally worth it. Even though the exhibits are geared toward kids, there's something magical about rediscovering them as an adult. Nostalgia hits, curiosity kicks in, and the 21+ crowd makes the vibe peaceful, playful, and fun. Between touching a tornado, watching turtles migrate across Earth, and laughing at ourselves while sipping drinks, it was an inexpensive, unique date night during 3rd in the Burg. Highly recommend pawning off the crotchgoblins with grandma and checking it out.

Lots of interactive things for the kids and adults to do. On the upper floor there was a cute play area for kids under 6 that included a shopping area, doctor zone, construction and building area. Everyone was really nice and space was clean. It was not busy which made it nice. We parked in the structure nearby and they did not validate and you have to pay using a QR code. We will definitely be back with the kids next time we need a nice indoor activity.
